US farm raised catfish breaded in cornmeal and deep fried to a crisp... in peanut oil... YES PLEASE!!!! The mere mention of "Catfish John's" to my father and brother several year ago would literally make them salivate and then they would yell at me for making them crave it hahaha! THIS IS THE BIZ if you like the best southern fried catfish in NW Arkansas. This is the place to take your tourist friends especially if they have never been to Arkansas. Get the lunch special! $10.95 for 4 generous pieces of fried catfish, 3 hush puppies (MMMMM!!!!) and a side of Cole slaw. OOOO my GOSH the hush puppies are awesome. My Australian husband didn't know what the heck a hush puppy was, and he didn't quite appreciate it like I do. Savory and crisp on the outside, crumbly and mealy on the inside. Naughty naughty haha. For the kids they have chicken strips on the menu. I recall there also being fried shrimp on the menu as well. Take the time to browse the Catfish John's wall of fame pictures. You get a lot of bang for your buck at this place, now go 'get you some' fried catfish and pups! Mmmmm!

Lived here 10+ years and finally decided to try Catfish John's! (My son loves catfish...me not so much) However they have chicken which was a win for me! You order at the counter and they will bring your food and drinks to you. Food was hot and fresh! Didn't have to wait long for it either. Very relaxed, casual and clean! The coleslaw tasted homemade and was so good we bought some extra to bring home with us! The chicken isn't your typical chicken tender...it's nice chunks of chicken deep fried to perfection! Customer service was great too! Will definietly be back soon! Oh and did I mention, we got 2 full dinnertime meals plus 2 drinks for just under $30?! Wow!

My first time here as I recently moved here. The place has a very simple diner feel to it. You walk up to the counter and order and pay and they deliver all the food to your table. The service is very friendly and professional. You can tell the staff really do care about what they are doing. The food comes out pretty quickly. The catfish has an nice batter and seasoning. The fish is plump and cooked Perfectly. The fries and hush puppies are a little above average as is the pickles. I did not care for the slaw. This was a very good meal for a very good price. Most of the customers are regulars as the staff know just about everyone. Best catfish I have found in NW Arkansas so far.

Always good and always fresh. Catfish is excellent and don't forget to try the green tomato relish! If you are in Rogers this is the place for catfish.

When I asked a simple question about what made the fries accompanying the ribeye "spicy," our server responded with a series of questions rather than a straightforward answer, including asking if I had issues with nightshades and what level of heat I tolerate on the Scoville scale. The interaction felt unnecessarily complicated and somewhat condescending. After checking with the kitchen, she said the fries could be made without the spice, so I ordered the dish. However, she then informed me that the ribeye itself had a chili rub, requiring another trip to the kitchen. While they ultimately said it could be prepared without the rub, I was told it would significantly delay the order. When the steak finally arrived, I was disappointed with the amount of fat on it, much more than the typical marbled ribeye. Overall, while the ambiance was enjoyable, the service created friction in what should have been a simple ordering process. A more direct and customer-friendly approach would have made a big difference. The F&B manager reached out to me through my Open Table information which I respected however, we don't plan on returning.

They said they've been partnering with a local supplier for years. And it really shows in the quality. It's in a museum. So finding it was a little difficult at first, not knowing what to look for. To start the server was smoking and came in and started serving without washing their hands. Then on a friends plate they refused to do substitutions for allergies and instead said the best they could do is not put it on their plate. They still charged for the item that they removed. None of what was previously stated even led to this review. The worst part is that there was MOLD ON THE FOOD!!! Once this was brought up the only thing they said was "we can bring you another piece". They would not consider comping even a portion of that plate. Mind you no one asked for a refund or comp at this point other than for the single item that was moldy. Overall this ended with an employee asking why my friend ate the food if it was moldy. We explained that it wasn't found until after they had ate that portion of the plate and they didn't eat any after seeing it. They proceeded to mock us after. Overall just hope that this place gets things together and a safety inspection asap. I could never imagine going back to a place that cares so little about the customers experience and quality of food.

I loved the interior and how it was decorated. The grilled cheese was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Definitely wouldn't be enough if there were more than 2 people at the table though. Surprised to find a restaurant this caliber without a tasting menu however, the choices were interesting enough that we tried out these strawberry appetizer which combines in season strawberries with a tart cream sauce, and a balsamic vinaigrette, making for a sweet and sour combination The bread, butter combo was very good with the butter being infused with some heat. We went for a pretty standard selection of steak for two which was well prepared and came with a side of mushrooms and potato cakes. Honestly, the winner of the night was the wine. A nice wine list selection that included choices from California, Spain, France. We went with a rioja reserve which was a great pairing. There is no Sommelier or suggested wine pairings on the menu. The service was solid however, once the restaurant filled up, we found ourselves somewhat on our own. The dessert menu had a nice selection, but nothing that jumped out at us. Overall, a really interesting space, pleasant service, good food, great wine, and a nice evening.

It's a trash restaurant charging 5 star dining prices. They won't even plate a porterhouse steak onto two plates if you ask. Told us we needed to do it ourselves. She laughed at us and said 'he's not going to do that,' referring to the chef. All the other restaurants that serve a porterhouse do that standard because it's a massive steak that two people share, and they offer before you have to ask. Just snobby and weird attitude about certain things. They also serve a cheap version of Caymus wine, but have it priced like it's the premium version (my friend knows wine). 3.5 hours is too long to wait for a meal, especially on a weeknight when the restaurant is empty. They also didn't apologize, acted like this was completely normal, and said 'we didn't know you were in a hurry.' Really? Pay the same price and pick a legitimate high end restaurant like Sestina, Conifer, Junto, Ruth Chris, or Atlas. This place is a joke and I still get mad when I drive by. No idea how they stay in business except maybe for tourists who don't know how bad this place is until they've wasted their time and money. We need better restaurants in this area.
