I have admittedly been here to this location (very) often and have added D&B to my monthly rotation for go-to spots. Thanks to their amazing Dave & Boosters event (huge shoutout to Courtney for organizing such a great event) I've really rekindled my love for arcade games. I especially keep an eye out for special events here because it's not only a great way to celebrate but also it usually entails an unlimited game play for a few hours (which I take advantage of to the fullest)! You can usually find some pretty good deals for game play outside of these events too (check their website/socials or a D&B location). I personally really like their half off games on Wednesdays and Sundays. While you usually find tons of kids at D&B, I've noticed at this location there's a good mix of older kids and young/working adults. There's a bar serving alcoholic drinks and tons of tables for dining and big screens to watch games. It's pretty clean inside and not a chaotic location at all.

The adults had some yummy apps which were hot and tasty. The arcade was so much fun! I played games too. Lots of different games for different abilities. I wish the prize area had some more prizes for smaller amounts of tickets, but I guess it was nice to not take home some junk that would get lost on the ride home. Still found something to redeem for! Can't wait to come again.

Merrimack Valley Pavilion

Go during the day or don't go at all…read more Me and a couple pals went to Merrimack Valley Pavilion last night for mini golf, a harmless activity, and honestly, it was one of the creepiest experiences I've ever had. Sure, during the day it's charming, families, kids, bright colors, ice cream, obstacle courses arcade games and whatnot. But at night, something shifts. The woods press in close around the course, and it feels like at any moment, a deer could break through the trees and sprint across the green. That sounds funny until you realize how easily someone could get hurt, or worse. Who knows what lingers in these woods. The little ponds scattered through the course, which seem endearing under the sun, but in the dark they suddenly look deep, like someone could slip, fall in, and never come back up. We lingered near the cave on hole 14, and I swear to God there was something wrong inside. It wasn't just dark it felt like something or someone was waiting. My chest got tight when I stepped near it, and I had to back away. My friend started shaking uncontrollably. And then there are the tikimen statues. During the day they're just silly props, but at night? They look disturbed , tilted, cracked, like they've been through something they'll never talk about. But the worst was hole 18. As we lined up for our final shots, I heard it, a whisper. My name. Clear as day, right next to my ear. I spun around, but no one was there. My friends looked pale, they'd heard their names too. We rushed to finish and left in silence. Here's the truth: all these little details, the woods, the ponds, the statues they're harmless in daylight. But at night, Merrimack Valley Pavilion feels haunted. And I don't say that lightly. Go for the ice cream if you want, but leave before dark. And if you do stay late... don't turn around when you hear your name.

Football season too so we wanted some place cool go watch the game with a fun activity and food--boom, Lucky Strike. Though they had a bowling special since it was a Sunday night of unlimited bowling after 7pm, we opted out as we were tired. Instead, we bought reloadable game cards to play on the machines. They have classic arcade games such as ski-ball, air hockey, and even pinball machines. Then there are some newer ones as well. I really liked the giant connect four and the pink panther game. Unfortunately a few games we played didn't work and I had to run around and find a staff member so they could fix my credits. After playing the games we headed over to the bar to catch some of the game and eat. They had booths all around the bar with QR codes on the table so you can order/pay from your phone and they bring it to you. There were TVs and projectors as well surrounding. Though the staff was nice the food took a long to go be prepared, and the place was empty during the snow storm. We ordered the appetizer sampler which was pretty good, but we didn't care for the chicken. I did like the pretzels and mozzarella sticks. Some other fun stuff they had included pool tables, shuffleboard, and a photo booth you could use by swiping your game card. Plus they have a prize room to redeem your tickets but it was closed.... Sadly it was quiet in there and I think had it been packed it would be more fun and lively. Overall it wasn't perfectly functioning with broken games and long waits for the food, but, we still had fun and we'd come back for bowling.

Most of us hadn't bowled in years (or ever), and this was supposed to be a farewell outing for a friend. We left wondering, did that really just happen? It took forever to even be acknowledged. We ordered drinks, a pizza, and a sampler. The server suggested a pitcher deal (cool, thanks) only for the soda to come out tasting like straight carbonation with no flavor. Turns out the machine was broken. Fine. We asked for water, somehow that was a problem too. Our sampler? Never came. When we asked about it, the server really said "who did you order that with?" and then told us it wasn't her, while I'm sitting there knowing we ordered it with her. Instead of owning it, she argued. Wild. They "fixed" the soda machine and brought us flat soda. At that point, just take it away. We ordered lemonades instead which took 20 minutes and she (the manager) forgot one, then caught an attitude when we said something. When the sampler finally came, the chicken was literally falling apart and touched the table when they put it down. We ate the germs. The manager kindly told us she removed the pitcher from the bill and added the lemonades. That however, doesn't make up for bad food, worse service, and a completely ruined experience. We paid to be annoyed the entire time. I wouldn't come back.

One thing is for sure, there is a TON of things to do here. It was a little overwhelming for me because I wasn't super comfortable sitting around and not always seeing where the kids were (kudos to the parents who can do that). They're kids, so staying in one area longer than three minutes is impossible lol. There are different sections, lots of jumping areas, and many slides. The party area was packed. There were a lot of birthday parties happening. I noticed they have 9 party rooms, plus additional tables outside for parties without rooms, which added to how crowded it felt. At one point, they closed one of the areas because someone lost something and they had to search for it, which was inconvenient since that's where the kids were playing and were actually there longer than 3 minutes lol. There's also a lot of young (20 and under) staff working, which is interesting. They're present, but overall felt pretty hands-off, especially given how packed the place was. I also used the women's bathroom and out of 5 stalls, 4 didn't have toilet paper. The bathroom itself wasn't very clean and felt poorly maintained. When we went to get drinks, there was a long line and only one person working the front desk, so it took a while just to pay which cut into the allotted time for the kids. All that said, the kids enjoyed it. My son had been here before and wanted to come back with his cousin. He especially loves the soccer area, which was a big hit for him doing it is his favorite sport. I wouldn't say I wouldn't come back, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially with maintenance and staff being more attentive to the areas they're responsible for.
