After a 30 minute wait to get in, we got to the register and asked for "sugar" concentrate which we make into a tincture for sleep... your salesmen did not know what sugar was.. and had to call someone else over.. we could see it in the case... but the 2nd guy told us, " we don't have that!" I went in today and didn't know Catalyst Pomona was no longer taking debit, because their ATMS were out. For sake of kindness I won't mention the budtenders name. They informed me there were signs everywhere and that they were sorry and it wasn't their place to tell someone else how to do their job when I requested they let people (especially regulars) at the front desk know about the cash only now. I would love to see a black woman at this location working. Catalyst is a union that owns half the block on Holt and Towne. The positives: parking is located out front or conveniently to the left of the building. Check in process, was quick and smooth. ID, and email provided. First time discount offered, I opted to save it for another visit because the deals they had at the time superseded the 20% FTG discount. Selection was large. Cons: the service unfortunately was less than satisfactory. Given the nature of dispensaries and the current marijuana culture, people go for the experience AND service, customer service is MAJOR. I asked the girl for two cartridges, I was particular about the brand (they were on sale) and the strain type, hybrids. When I got to the cashier, she hadn't listened and was VERY dismissive. I had to tell the gentleman specifically which ones I had asked for. The mixup and her lack of care and time to LISTEN or even be at minimum kind during our BRIEF interaction has left me underwhelmed. Not sure if she was new, tired, or having a bad day. We're human and I can accept that. She however, didn't care, didn't apologize, and did not take her time with me. I let my cashier know as such. I could barely hear her when she told me which number cashier to see. Selection and prices were top notch. Customer service and helpfulness were UNDERWHELMING and unimpressive. If you go, already know what you're getting, prices, etc. get in, and get out. DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD HERE. They have a scummy practice where they will charge you an extra 20 cents for using card, then they say they "have to round up the price to the nearest 5." So my $25 item ended up costing $30. BUT they say they will give the difference back in cash back. They're forcibly making you do cash back, which then results in a $3.75 fee, and top of that, the cash back transaction is created as an ATM withdrawal and you end up getting charged an extra $3. This place is honestly one of the best place in the whole Southern California. You can order online or just walk in. They also have an atm in the store incase you need more cash for your order. There is free parking on the street next to the store. There is plenty of free parking. This dispensary is not stingy with there AC. I always feel refreshed coming to this store after a long hot day. This place is organized and clean. The staff that works here are easy to talk to with great customer service. No staff in this whole area has an attitude. They always show up with a smile on there face. This dispensary is a rare gem here in southern cal. Its hard to find a place that has easy parking, a lot of products to sell, clean, and has staff with a smile on there face when they are talking to you. Even the manager has great customer service. I have been going to this catalyst ever since the had first opened, some time has passed and I weened off the weed and taking any kind of stimulants, but today felt different, I had an anchoring for some froot gummies. Anyways, I pull up and it's on and popping (as expected for a Saturday night) , so I walked in waited in line to get checked in , then esas asked to remove my headphones ( obviously complied but asked and unfortunately I guess the front desk operators weren't told why either so it was kinda disappointing to not get the answer) nonetheless I proceeded through to the showroom and as I was patiently waiting I was singled out by one of the security guards for being a male with a bag( I call it a purse since it is ), I was shocked , I mean it's 2023 and being discriminated against for being gay was truly heart wrenching , even embarrassing like as a proud non-binary , first generation, Latino & indigenous person to be so rudely called out when I'd look around and see women carrying similar size of not larger bags than my own. I had the piece of mine wanting to walk out of there but I remember one thing my father had always taught me , "you maybe seen different but people may never understand you but you deserve respect just as much as anyone". I almost never wanna return to Catalyst Horrible experience. Do Not purchase "Air Plane Brand" vape cartridges. I typically purchase reputable brands such as Jetty or Raw Gardens. Mostly Jetty these days. I told bud tender I was visiting the US Virgin Islands for 2 weeks. He suggested I add a "Paper Plane" brand cartridge. I agreed.
