First time I've ever stopped here driven by it many times when I come to Spoakne and today I decided to try it out. I ordered the fruity pebble doughnut and it was pretty ace, doughnut was fresh and the icing and cereal gave it a sweetness and crunchy texture. My stomach wasn't too happy after the doughnut lol no one fault I had an empty stomach ans that much sugar didn't agree but again the doughnut tastes very good. I had another Caramel Macchiato and was pretty good, what I really liked is that it was at a drinkable temperature and was able to slam it. It wasn't overly sweet and was a really good cup. cup. We are on the hunt for a good donut shop so I dropped in here to give them a try. Our order was 4 bismark (custard filled chocolate covered), 2 apple fritters, 2 pumpkin old fashioned, 2 blueberry old fashioned and 2 old fashioned. They include a 13th donut so I got an extra blueberry. The customer service was great, the lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful even offering the bakers dozen. The custard filled donuts tasted like they were made in old oil and were not filled all the way. All of the old fashioned were under cooked with raw dough in the middle of the donut. The apple fritters were also under cooked in the middle, the edges were good but the middle was gross. We were told that their best baker had made the donuts which is unfortunate because they must have been having a really bad night. Would not recommend unfortunately. read more

This was my favorite place to buy donuts and today I purchased three donuts, and the quality was less than acceptable. I ended up throwing them away. It is frustrating that I wasted $10 on a substandard product. The service was cold and uninviting. It was as though I was interrupting her day when I walked in the door. Not welcoming at all. I called and spoke with someone from the Spokane Valley store, and she gave some good advice, if you fritters, as they are one of the most popular, stop in and place an order for the next day, so we did so. We went in and ordered 3 apple fritters, 2 cherry, and 1 blueberry. Today 8/16, we picked them up. We just tried an apple fritter, it was good, definitely a 3.5/5. This place makes incredible donuts. We bought four of them and I wish so much that we had gotten more! Great dough and flavors without being sickly sweet. Loved the coconut cream. The blueberry cake was scrumptious and it was one of the best maple bacon bars that I have had with crispy salty bacon. My husband got the cinnamon sugar cake donut and wolfed it down. The donuts here are good, not great. They are very proud of their donuts, as it was $11.75 for two apple fritters and a chocolate Bavarian creme. Girl working the counter was super nice. My three star review would go to four if they weren't so durned expensive. $7-$8.00 total for our three donuts would have been about right. I am feeling a bit divided on this place. On one hand, I love that they offer vegan donuts, but on the other, the vegan donuts are not very good. Fortunately, they do yeast donuts, as opposed to strictly cake, which is where most places (lazily) go. The donuts were just not as light and fluffy as I hoped. They were rather heavy, despite being yeast donuts. I had a maple bar, and it was just average. I don't like to compare places, but I guess that doesn't really matter because this is the only vegan donut game in town. They are pretty pricey, too: $2.50 each. But the service was really good. A few weeks ago while visiting with family someone decided to pick up some of these awesome donuts. They're huge (totally shareable) but well worth it. Well today we decided that we would go and try a few different ones and we went a little late in the morning so they didn't have many of the options that I was looking for but the staff was very nice and helpful and even offered to give me a fresh filled Bavarian cream if I just waited a sec for her to do it. We are new to the area and we learned about casual fridays from our realtor. She bought us a dozen of donuts when closed escrow. On Feb 5th, I called ahead to see if they had old fashion donuts with chocolate on top. The lady informed me they didn't but she can make me a dozen. This was amazing. Never had a donut shop offer this where we are from. I picked them up and some others through the drive through and we were so happy with the donuts this day. Until..... last week on Friday I wanted to take my husband so he can see all the varieties. I walked in and asked if they have old fashion donuts. The gal said they just made a fresh batch. I asked if she can dip some in chocolate. She said no bc someone else is using the chocolate and can't help us. This is the only donut my husband loves and so he didn't want anything and we drove 30 mins to get here. I still ordered a box for the teachers at my kiddos school , but will never come back. While they were packing up our donuts, a car pulled up at the drive thru asking for old fashion donuts. The other woman at the window told them they're sold out. I wanted to shout , there is a whole tray here but I was so over it. The gals this day were just so lazy and didn't care. There's not a ton of places for vegan options so I was super happy when I found out they sell vegan doughnuts! Both kids and the hubby were thrilled with the size and taste! Never made it to this donut shop when it was Dawn of the Donut. Finally in the vicinity now that it has changed hands, and names. I picked up 1/2 dozen chocolate cake and raspberry specially donuts. Best donuts for miles around. Good quality and flavor for the price. The fritters are pretty big, as well as some of the others. They've got gluten free and vegan offerings, which are just as good as the others. Very convenient location and good service. I recently went here to check this place out. My over all impression of the place is the layout is cute. The wood table and the metal chairs gave this small area a cool feel. Once here I chose to try there apple fritter since I feel these are the hardest to nail. I have to give them props on the size of dount, they were huge. The apple fritter was $2.75 but was more than large enough to share. The texture was ok however the apple flavor was extremely lacking. Neither myself nor my husband could taste apple at all. Casual Friday is making it hard for me to stick to my very strict diet and exercise regime, or at least they would be a major factor if I had one.
