I got here about 8. Paid $10 for parking, $10 just for general admission and paid for my daughter and her friend to get in. Literally more than half the rides were closed. It's an amusement park.. pretty terrible to go to a ride park with literally maybe 10 rides Also, would like to add the few rides that were open were shutting down 20-30 min early. Super disappointed.. I did speak to the supervisor on duty and she apologized and gave us free admission for next visit and explained it was off season. Thank you Ayerim. I love Castle Park before COVID. Now that COVID hits and we have to follow all the guidelines Castle Park doesn't really do a good job at that. I went yesterday for the Happy Hauntings and it was really packed, no one was social distancing, some but not all were wearing masks and the Carnevial Skill Games were really bad for being $19.99 each person. If you won a small prize there is only one prize they don't give you different options it's just one. The Terror Trail Walkthrough was very foggy, like too much of the fog. The snack voucher was alright, I got the hot dog and a drink but that didn't really fill me up and I ate and drank all of it and it still didn't fill me up. Golfing, was great. I had lots of fun golfing, I'm just not sure if they sanitize the equipment before hand. read more

The mini golf is pretty legit here, not the best maintained one but they have like 4 x 18 holes which is pretty good (72 holes!). Two things I wished I learned before hand is that it's cheaper if you buy it online on their site and that applies to both the mini golf course and the parking! Would have preferred to not have to pay for parking but it is what it is. If I'm ever in the area and need something fun to do, I'd definitely consider the mini golf courses they offer here. read more

This place is great for my 4 year old! We can enjoy the park all day and in the later time do some miniature golfing. Season pass is definitely convenient for us and I love that it includes parking and ranging waters (from what I read). So far everyone seems to be nice besides a Time that I called and got hung up on by a teen boy who was frustrated with answering my question, I called back and they placed me on hold until the line hung up. read more

I've been to mini golf at castle park a few times, but I've never played on course 1, which is considered the hardest. It was fun and it looks awesome lit up at night. 4 full and unique courses. This place was really cool, my kids had a blast. I would definitely like to come back during cooler weather. Service- 50/50 staff are almost all teens. Some have the worst attitudes and are busy playing around in the back of the food areas, others are really nice. The young men were almost all delightful. The girl working one of the food stands was really nasty and didn't want to answer any questions & barked at us. The food- Not too overpriced. They had really good deals compared to most amusement parks. The quality was 50/50. We got Al's bbq, the ribs were good. The bbq chicken was super dry, almost like beef jerky. Cole slaw & beans were basic, tasted fine. What was really disgusting was the macaroni they served us. It looked nasty and old, it had zero flavor. We could not eat it. The kids inside didn't bother to tell us we had to come inside the circus room to eat, since the place also has windows outside that remain closed. Parking- $10 not too bad Rides- Loved how they had rides for all ages, but some looked really run down and sketchy. Water area- Fun, went on a weekday. There were enough seats. No changing areas/rooms, or bathrooms in the area. Tiny, only a few slides and mostly shooting water. The water leaves you smelling like a wet dog all day. No towels offered. I am 37 years old now, and I have been going to castle park since i was a little girl. I have the fondest memories of this place. And I am excited to announce, that in the last year they have put thousands of dollars, probably hundreds of thousands of dollars in upgrades! First off the arcade castle was falling apart. They replaced every single arcade game! And fixed the ones that were worth fixing. NOW its just like Dave and Busters! It's so rad. They all work and they have all the same ones as them, and now you get a card instead of dealing with coins and tickets. There was even a super nice employee lady with short hair by the new machines that you buy the arcade card, who helped me through the whole process. There is now a coffee bar in the arcade, but no vegan options, I'll put that suggestion in to get the vegan creamer. All the little gift shops are open now, tons of employees helping people, answering questions. The Castle Dark this year, was off the hook! Scary and fun, with better costumes, and better prizes and everything was amazing and perfect! Good Job Castle Park! Thank you for upgrading your whole castle and bringing me back to the good ole days in the 80's when I was a kid. I take my 16 year old nephew here, and we have so much fun. And almost all your rides will fit full grown big adults. I especially love the ghost blasters in the arcade. Fun fun fun. Keep up the good work and the upgrades. This place is just ok. Half of the good rides are always not working. I've gone twice a year for a couple of years now and the ride repair situation isn't fixed. The park is always packed, so I wonder what the money is being invested in. Shame I can't give it more than two stars. I think if this place gets its act together it'll be worth the long trip. Would have never thought that there is an amusement park in Riverside. We bought our tickets online, if you book your tickets 4 days in advance for 15.99 you get access to the amusement park, mini golf, and small water park! That is such a steal. The amusement park consists of a lot of basic carnival rides such as small roller coasters, bumper cars,merry go round and etc! They also have a water ride which is pretty cool! During the week day if you go during opening time around 11am the lines are extremely short lol :) . The mini golf area is also very cool, it's quite big with four different courses! The little water park consists of four little slides - very good for the kids on a summer day. They also have a small arcade in there which is very fun- they have a small little bowling alley for two which I thought was very fun! I would definitely come again :)! They charge 7 bucks for parking if you buy the parking pass online. They have a small pizza hut inside and other standard park foods like chicken tenders, burgers and such :) I would say for the price this is not a bad place to take the kids! or a fun little date night. read more

We decided to take our kids to one of the local amusement parks instead of making the trek down to Anaheim for Disneyland or Carlsbad for Legoland. Our Kids are 3, 3, and 6 years old. You can't really compare the 3, Disneyland of course is iconic, but the lines and crowds lately have been extreme and the cost is $$$$. Legoland is great, a little more budget friendly but the park for us is pretty far and usually ends with us having to make an overnight stay. Lines are not quiet as long, and rides are geared more towards the 3 - 10 year old crowd. Castle Park is a EXCELLENT alternative, if you live local to the Inland Empire and not wanting to spend the time and a TON of money, because the park is pretty reasonable. If you have younger kids its great because the lines are short. Admission into the park is broken down into a few different packages that can be customized, and they even offer a annual pass for only $50. I believe the annual pass covers, entry, unlimted rides and golf, unlimited entry into Buccaneers Cover and to their seasonal attraction Castle Dark. On our first visit we purchased the Dukes Duo and decided to do the unlimited mini golf and rides package. If purchased online pretty much all the different packages they offer you'll save a few $$ per ticket. This package gets you entry into the park and access to all their rides, and they have a pretty good selection of rides, great for younger kids with a few mini costers, and even some bigger rides for those kids/adults that need a little more thrill. Some of the rides are what you would see from a traveling carnival, but set into permeate locations within the park, classics like the tilty whirl, scrambler, bumper cars etc.. but they do have some larger rides that appear to be built specifically for the park. Our younger ones loved all the smaller rides, the old fashion cars, the train etc.. Lots of entertainment for kids. The park is staffed pretty well when we went, not all rides are opened, sometimes they have one operator for 2 rides and they have one running all the time and switch every once in awhile. The lines are not long at all, mostly walk ons really, the only longer lines are for the bigger rides like the log ride, merlin coster etc.. But compared to larger amusement park having to wait 5-10 minutes is way better then having to wait 80+ minutes. The environment in the park is nice, with lots of lush green trees that offer nice shade for the warm summer days and pretty cool themed buildings and attractions. They even have a peacock walking around the park, which was really cool. I was not expecting that. The park does show some signs of wear and tear, but you do have to remember the park was built in 1976, so its a constant battle for them fighting the elements. The park has a Pizza Hut express, a coupe different locations to eat and lots of carts and concession stands. Pizza Hut express was good, around $6 - $7 for a personal sized pizza cooked to order it appeared. We spent 5 or so hours on the first day before our younger ones needed a break for a nap. But they enjoyed the park so much, we applied that days admission to a yearly pass for each of us. Simply because its convenient, affordable, and packed with tons of entertainment. If you get a annual pass they give you all sorts of coupons for FREE food, parking, guest admission for a friend, free midway games etc... I was surprised how much they actually give you, I'm like how in the world do these guys make money if they give away so much stuff. On the 2nd day we did Buccaneers Cove. Oh yeah, Did I mention they even have a zero depth water park which is included in the annual pass. Buccaneers cover is a 4 story ZERO DEPTH, (yes in caps if you have little ones you'll understand) water park with 4 water slides. It's not massive, I like it that way so I can keep track of our 3 little ones. For kids its GREAT! We'll be back many many times during the summer months. Thanks read more

We came weeks later, rides still closed. So, I have free tickets that are pretty much useless and expire in a few months. Went for the Dia De Los Muertos/Halloween "trick 'r treating event" with the family and it was soo lame. Event says 12-5:30, but rides were not operating until after 12:15 and half the rides were not even operating all day. it wasn't even an event, just a little decorations, 2 pieces of paper for coloring (not enough crayons)...oh and the trick r treating event started at 4:30pm, which was supposed to be an hour long, only had 4 stations set up to get candy from and you can only go one time....my 5 year old tried to get candy again and he was denied and told "you already got candy" even tho there was less than 20 kids getting candy... smfh. When we bought the passes for the day I informed the girl at the front I wanted my kids to have access to EVERYTHING, she sold me general admissions passes. These do not include everything. This place would be a nice place for family if the business wasn't trying to price gauge its customers. The park is essentially closed during the week although they state their open Fridays. The park rides don't open until 5pm Friday. We purchased tickets online and we're unable to use them so we needed to purchase other tickets. The girl at the front said we'd be able to get a refund for the unused tickets but when I called they refused to refund unused tickets. Their $10 arcade free play excludes a lot of arcades and you don't earn tickets. Castle park should really adopt the chuckle cheese arcade model. You'd get more customers and returning customers. You might think this is for families with kids only. Nah, as a 21 year old, I had fun here. I went with my boyfriend and we went on 8+ rides which were actually pretty fun. Come on, they're not going to be like six flags rides but they're still nice. Also, they do have an issue with rides being closed often, but I called beforehand and they told me which rides were closed. There are no surprises if you make the effort to reach out to them. I also didn't want to pay for the overpriced water so I brought a water bottle and they filled it up for me with ice twice. Mini golf was GREAT! I use to love this place as a kid. We would go there all the time and I remember it use to be packed with people and all the rides operating at the same time. It is sad to see it now, it's not what it use to be. Everything has changed from the way they charge the entrance to the way the rides are operated. I have gone a couple of times with my family... but don't plan on trying again. The place can be cleaner, especially the bathrooms outside of the arcade... I know it is an old place but it shouldn't have such a strong urine smell. The rides are not all operated at the same time, employees jump from one ride to another and sometimes rides are just not operating at all. The employees also need to be trained and the snack shacks are ridiculous (most are closed and the ones operating are always out of something or the employees just don't want to help) read more

Castle Dark was honestly the worst experience at any park that I have ever had. First, I get to the entrance and am told to walk to the metal detectors and I will get my bags checked and get all checked in. I go, get my bag checked and they say I'm good to go. I wait 20mns for 7pm to be let in. I go in and get on like 3 rides with my nephew (11 years old.) Just those 3 rides took us about 40mns. It wasn't that the lines were long, the staff was just not all there or it was a ride requiring more than one person and yet there was not enough help sent. We get to our 4th ride and I am asked for my wristband. My nephew and I look at each other like what is she talking about. The staff member asked me if I didn't get my tickets scanned and I informed her that only my bags were checked at the front but no one asked for my tickets. She then informed me that I could not get in unless I had that wristband. Mind you, we had been in line for a good 20mns by then. I was sent to guest relations where I wasted like 30mns and was finally given a wristband. We walked around the entire park only to realize that most of the rides were CLOSED. We were there from opening 7pm and left at 9pm. Honestly, it was a waste of a 60 mile drive and money. We will NEVER be returning. read more

Went there on a Friday. I Purchased the parking ticket online and saved $2.00. I paid $14 and can get unlimited rides, miniture golf plus the water park. Such a great deal! The park is kind of old and the rides are rusty. Cannot expect too much for this price. But all the staff was super nice & friendly, very polite. 5 stars for the staffs. Most of the ride they will use a long ruler to measure the kids height. They will not guess the approx height . Good policy. One issue with the park is being under staff. 1 staff might needs to operates 3 diffetent rides. Lucky the lines is short. Waiting time no more then 5 minutes. Due to no staff stands by the ride. So the amusement park was alright; the "bucannear cove" is a different story. For the price it was acceptable as a whole we paid $14.99 each for myself, my fiancé and 4.5 year old to be able to visit 2 sections of the park. We also bought parking online for $7 vs. $10 at gate. The amusement park could definitely use some refurbishments and updating- but again for $14.99 a person I wasn't expecting it to be glorious. Lines were short; longest was for the log ride maybe 15 minutes- it was a Saturday afternoon when we went. Now my problem comes, there was hardly any food options and you aren't allowed to bring food/drinks into the park. We did the amusement park first then went to buccaneer cove. It was so ghetto and the staff were rude. First of all there are signs everywhere saying you need to be in swim attire. Last time I checked having your kids run around in their underwear is not swim attire. It was gross!! There were also grown adults walking thru the water stations in jeans/shirts fully clothed like hello? This is not a shower. The staff at the waterslides were rude. Since half the kids parents were no where to be found kids were just cutting in line and I had to constantly say umm you need to get in the back of the life- the staff didn't do anything about it just stood there with their snooty, bored, fed up looks on their face. We went to Castle Dark this year and it seems like it's a whole new group putting on the haunt. Previous years haunts were so so and we almost didn't go back. But a friend told us this year was good so we decided to take the family. What an amazing Improvement. The scare actors were absolutely fantastic. Whole Place looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. All the rides and buildings look rundown. As for the food we got sick after eating it. Someone needs to show this place some love and clean it up, teach employees to cook food properly, add new paint, replace broken building parts and rides.
