This had always been my go to place for over 10 years. I loved that they made me feel welcome and like family. Kind and caring. Not anymore. My lady that I used "who was fantastic" was able to open her own business. So I thought well I will try and still go and maybe someone else could come close to her. Not so!! Went back 3 different times and got bad pedicures and the last lady was so rude and was jerking and pulling my legs. You can no longer talk to the owner as I have tried and he just doesn't listen and no longer seems to care about his customers. Very sad. I've been here quite a few times. I tried a few different techs and decided on one favorite. Mai has never disappointed me. She has the best technique for foot and leg massage in my humble opinion. She respects your mood as to whether you want to sit and veg or be chatty. I usually come close to sleeping as I enjoy the foot massage so I rather not chat . The management is friendly and attentive. Fairly priced, could use some newer colors in their OPI collection but they have a good selection. read more

This is a cute place inside & the lady who done my nails was somewhat nice however, I paid $55 for acrylic with gel polish. I'm on day 3 and they are already chipping and scratched up. I don't do a whole lot with my hands. I also got the matte coat and they are still very shiny. I'm very disappointed with my first and last visit. The place I always go to which is mandarin nails only chargers $35 for what this place done and they do a much better job! Walked in this morning and there were a couple customers and 8 employees sitting on phones and/or chatting amongst one another. One gal was told to sock off my gel polish but then she left and never returned. I waited for 35 minutes for someone to acknowledge that the gal that started my polish change was now engaged in another conversation and wasn't departing any time soon to come finish the job she started. A 30 minute polish change ended up being an hour and a half. The folks don't seems to be very attentive. read more

Most of the staff (the ones I've interacted with) are really friendly and are all very good at what they do! I came here on a recommendation from my sister and wasn't disappointed! The prices are a little steeper than some of the other nail salons I've been to, but I honestly believe that you get what you pay for! First of all let me say it's $15 dollars to add gel polish to a fill. That is ridiculous. I could by the gel and do it at home for $5. So now I'm at 20 for a fill and 15 for the gel. Then the cheapest pedicure is $25. My fill was okay but felt rushed and I don't think the gel dried completely. I'm now currently getting my pedicure done and the guy is being very rude and looks like he'd rather be anywhere else. I rarely spend money on myself like this and now I completely regret it. The regular $20 fill is great but everything else about my experience today is ruining it. read more

I have been coming here for many years. Although I have been satisfied, it was never "great". I have noticed a steep decline in customer service. I went earlier this week and finally had enough. I only get a gel polish change every time I go. So, remove old gel, apply new gel. Period. My nails are natural, not long. NOT acrylic. They are so lazy they have resorted to using a drill to remove old polish. This is VERY harmful to natural nails and totally not good standards. I arrived for my polish change and was there for a total of 17 minutes. During that time the tech barely spoke to me. She was looking all over the place while working on my nails causing her to slip once and cut my finger. Totally ignored it. She insulted my cuticles- and said she needed to cut them. I said no thank you. After the crappy job, I was charged $30. As I said, i've been going for years. It has gone from $20 to $30 in a year. 50% increase. "The materials have gone up in price". They use old, nasty nail files (also for acrylic nails, not natural nails) same old UV lights, same old polish. Really? $30 plus tip for 17 minutes of work?!!? It is not even quality, professional work. Surgeons make less. NO MORE- business lost. I know they don't care. read more

I went there and waited for an hour to get my pedicure. They were helping people who got there after me first. It was clear that these other guests did not have an appointment but they were served first. Finally, when I was getting my pedicure, the lady working on me was pretty aggressive. My toe has been hurting for over a week. My daughter was also with me for a manicure. She ended up having to wait an hour more than me for her service to even start. And finally when she got her nails done, it was clear that the whole process was rushed. We had a good experience in the past but this time it was really disappointing. I probably will not be going again any time soon. I understand that they can be swamped with customers but if they don't think they have the time to offer a good service they should just turn people away. I drive from St. Augustine to get my pedicures since they usually do a great job. However, today I went and it was the WORSE EXPERIENCE! No customer service at all. While I paid for the service I shared how my visit was terrible before leaving and they did absolutely nothing about it. My friend and I went here to get acrylic fills and we both had a terrible experience. Both of our nails looked terrible. Mine was not the shape or color I asked for and I told the lady that was doing my nails and she would not fix it. My friend asked for ombré and the man doing her nails started doing it and halfway through the process he told her he couldn't do it anymore. So she ended up with white and all of her nails were different shapes and lengths and there was bubbles in her nails. When she was checking out he gave him a tip (even though she shouldn't of) and the man that did her nails said "where is the rest of my tip". Not only that but as i was getting my nails done it seemed other employees were trying to get people to pay more. The employees wouldn't not stop coughing and one of them went into the bathroom and it sounded like she was throwing up. The place was dirty. Please do not waste your money here read more

My wife and I just had pedicures done and it was OK, nothing special , but it seems that since they moved to a bigger location the prices are higher which is fine. I was very disappointed in the way they add additional charges. We said we wanted the Classic Pedicure, which was listed as 25.00, which is a fair price; although when we checked out we were told it would 28.00, not knowing that an extra 3.00 is charged for using a grate tool for the bottom of our feet. We were never told about the extra charge, or was not shown on the services provided. I know it is only 3.00, but it is the principal of the thing. We have been getting pedicures for years, for less money and quite frankly more services including using the grate and NEVER was I charged an additional amount. I was hoping that this place, close to my house would be a good place to go, but that is moot now. I will not be coming back and I will go the extra miles to go to the Town Center where I am treated a lot better read more

We had an appointment this morning at Bartram spa for myself and my wedding party, upon arrival they told us they couldn't help us cause they don't offer gel or acrylic and we also would be taken back one by one. So with the wedding day two days away and only one day to get our nails done we called castle nails in a panic. They welcomed myself and girls with open arms and were so sweet, got us in right away! we were all able to get pedicures and manicures together and they did a remarkable job! Great service! They really know how to do nails. Their services last a long time. The shop is clean and everyone is very friendly. It is crowed and you may have to wait, but it is worth it. Love, love, love this nail salon/spa. I have been going to this place way before they opened the new place. The owners are so awesome and very friendly. Not only do they know who you are when you return, but they make sure to make you feel special. The atmosphere of the new place is so far beyond relaxing, that I just want to sleep when I'm getting my mani/pedi done. Pricing may seem pricey, however, they offer way more than they have in the past. If they offer you a water, you may be charged for it, but who cares, it great to be hydrated while you completely relax while your feet and legs get massaged. John and Mary are awesome, very professional, and perfect to be with for a great conversation!! As I am used to a little hand massage and a small back rub included with my manicure , I don't mind coming here without receiving one because they take their time and listen to exactly what you want.
