I came here on a saturday. I understand nail places are busy on the weekend, but I think if a place is too busy to accommodate someone they should send you are your merry little way. I got here and sat next to my sister in law who was already getting her nails done. About half way through her nail experience I asked if I was going to be helped. They said yes. It took about 45 minutes to finally get helped. I would have been fine if they had said that up front, they just kinda strung me along and told me, "just one more minute" a bunch of times. The guy who did my nails was in a rush and did a not 100% job. I asked for a natural color and he did white. Like white typing paper. They also messed up my sisters nails. She has gotten that color a handful of times and the color she asked for was not what got put onto her nails. I am sure that they have the capability to do an amazing job, I just sadly didn't get it. I want to give them another shot next time I am in town. The decor was clean and nice. I really liked the atmosphere, I just wish my nail experience matched. read more

Was looking for a relaxing environment with high quality service but I was disappointed. The employees spoke loudly in Chinese dialects and laughed the whole time. The nail technician doing my nails was FaceTiming her sister on the phone the entire time during my nails. I am a very nonjudgmental and accepting person but this was just bad service. I went for pedicure and got taken in right away so that was nice but the lady didn't really care to be there let alone a pedicure I paid 50$ (that's including a 5 tip) for the nail polish to be chipping off already and when she put it on it was so gunky it has obviously been sitting there a while instead of correcting it she kept going and sent me on my way. Horrible experience tonight trying to get a pedicure! I'm pretty sure he was utilizing used gloves as he blew air in them and turned them inside out. (They were noticeably wet!) He also stopped in the middle of my pedicure that I had waited 30 minutes for to fix another ladies pedicure. He was too busy looking around the shop to pay attention to what he was doing to my toenails. Told him one was crooked and he half way fixed it. I have polish from my last pedicure smeared up my toe and several aren't even polished the entire nail. I did express my frustration and the receptionist offered to have it fixed, but my time was limited. He didn't make me pay. I was a return customer but will never be back after this experience. He also kept dropping the towel on the floor and continued to use it on me. read more

The staff was very nice. Tina and Lee were very kind to my 6 yr old. Tina gives an awesome massage. The place was very clean, even the restrooms. I will go back but I will probably ask for a more basic design. My daughter wanted polkadots and a heart on one finger. The polkadots are blobby (though her fingernails are tiny and she had a hard time staying still so that may have contributed to the problem ). They used a sticker for the heart design and it fell off by the time we got home:(. I asked for a heart on one finger and the gentleman was very kind and I enjoyed chatting with him. I believe he tried very hard to match the picture I showed him but the hearts didn't turn out great. Again, I will definitely go back but I'll have them do a solid design. read more

I have had both good and bad experiences at Castle Nails but more bad than good so I have decided to go elsewhere from now on. It really depends on the technician. Several times I've left with my cuticles bleeding and sore for days afterward. I would swear I would never go back but then I'd end up right back there because it was convenient, etc. The last straw was when I was getting a dip. The lady spoke very little English so communication was definitely a problem. I had wanted the shellac but she didn't understand and started using the dip powder so I had to just go with it. My nails looked lumpy and uneven but I kept thinking the lady was going to fix it because she kept layering. Nope, it just got worse. The skin around my nails was literally stuck to my nails. They were all uneven lengths and there were visible lumps everywhere. The lady actually asked me if I like my nails and if I wanted a massage?!?!?. I said absolutely not! I showed her my nails were uneven, lumpy, and my cuticles were bleeding. She just kept saying, "I fix." She started trying to file my nails but she was filing the skin next to my nails because it was like glued together. She got the Dremel type tool and took off the top layer of my nail and it felt like my finger nail was burning. My fingers were already getting sore so I told her to stop. She called the owner over and they spoke about it (not in English of course so I have no idea what was said). The owner was very nice and said she would personally fix it. I said no because I had to leave plus my fingers were already bleeding and sore. She told me to come back and she would redo my nails. I wasn't going to ever go back but the next week my nails were in such awful condition and driving me crazy. I had to pull my skin apart from the sides of my nails if that makes sense. I actually did go back a few days later and let the owner completely redo my nails. She did a good job and I have no complaints other than you'd think she would have offered a discount or something....but nope...I learned a very expensive lesson. And no, I have not and will not go back. read more

Pedicure was fine got the basic one and the guy did a good job BUT I got a dip powder manicure which was awful. First, I wanted short nails and the nail lady kept cutting off little snippets off at first she only cut one pinky nail and then proceeded to put the nail clipper away. Excuse me?!? I don't want these long ass nails. I had to tell her three times I wanted them short and they were still too long so I was like screw it this lady obviously doesn't understand! Then she was filing my nails and was doing it so HARD she filed my skin and cut me. Idk if you ever been cut by someone filing your skin but it burned and hurt so bad I wanted to cry. I started bleeding and she cut my cuticles a couple times w the drill. She did apologize but I was already over this place. She was extremely side tracked and then in the middle started talking on her phone. I will not recommend Tina or this place. Ask for someone else or go somewhere else. read more

Terrible and unacceptable customer service - I had made an appointment for my two daughters, my mom, and myself to celebrate mine and my moms birthday. What should've been a sweet pampering celebration, ended with my mom bleeding and in tears, attitude and eye rolls from the staff, and complete rudeness. First off, my mom is medically fragile having just recovered from a stroke and a heart attack. The manicure lady repeatedly told to to hold her hands still, which she replied numerous times about her stroke and her hands shaking was uncontrollable. The lady was very rude, rough, and hurtful with her tone. The pedicure lady, although was verbally nice, was not delicate. My mom advised her to please be careful because she is on blood thinners and the result was my mom left with her heal bleeding. My mom should've felt pampered and the result was anything but... My two daughters were the very first to have their mani/pedis. At first thought, I was fine with it and even told the lady "oh good the girls can have extra sit time without their sandals on to completely dry". Not even 2 minutes of dry time and the lady forced my daughters sandals on as I was telling the lady "do not put her shoes on, she will be sitting for at least another 20 minutes as my mom hadn't even started yet". She put them on anyway. Result - completely smudged paint... I asked her to go over and fix them since I had told her not to put them on to begin with. She rolled her eyes and was visibly annoyed by my request, but did fix them. To top matters off, we arrived at 9:45am for a 10:00am appointment and they were playing dance house music, not at all what I expect to be hearing on a Saturday morning. My daughters and I came from out of town for our birthday weekend. I had been to this place once when they first opened several years ago and remembered it being a fine experience but sadly we will not be returning. Hundreds of dollars spent and although our nails are pretty, we left hurt (both emotionally and physically). Completely unacceptable customer service, doubly so for appointments booked well in advance. I can not recommend this place to anyone and we will not be back. read more

If I could give castle nails zero stars, I would. I've never had such a sloppy job done on a pedicure before and have never had to argue with someone as to why I didn't want shellac on my nails. Best nail salon in town!! Teresa (the owner) is the BEST for the manicures/dipping for your nails! She is awesome, does it right or you will not leave until it's perfect! awful!!!! I will never come here ever again. I was a walk in today. It did seem a little understaffed. So they were rushing around. The man that did my SNS dip was Peter. He was very ugly. Consistantly telling me to relax and violently moving my fingers around. He cut my fingers several times. How am I suppose to relax when you are cutting me. Then he got frustrated, it was very obvious he would stop and pause like he was waiting on me. He did an awful job. I came here expecting to feel relaxed and taken care of. Not rushed around and felt belittled. I'm having a hard time in my life right now. I don't need someone getting frustrated because they are causing me pain. To add when he was finished didn't even say have a nice day or anything. If I could give negative stars I would. I'm crying because I'm so angry. I'm not going to post a picture because I'm shaking to much to post one. But my nails are uneven, bumpy, and unfinished. I'm so angry that I got treated this way. Despite my better judgement I went back to this nail salon after not receiving the service I asked for. Instead of going across town to my preferred salon I figured let's give them another try. Bad decision...I asked for coffin shaped nails with a natural looking color. I even had a picture of what I wanted. Well I guess that wasn't good enough because the nail tech did what he wanted and I HATE my nails! The owner stated the color had streaks because it was a light color. Common sense told me different. He was applying too much polish. Needless to say, I didn't get the $5 off promised by the owner but did get a color change that looks like goop. Lesson learned....never going back to this nail salon. Today was my first visit to Castle Nails & Spa and I was very impressed. I showed up at 5:25 and was seated immediately. I was worked on by Henry who did such a wonderful job on removing my old set of nails without any pain and doing exactly what I asked for in gel nails. The price was very agreeable and honestly a steal for the quality of service I received today. Feeling confident I decided to go for a wax and was helped by Jenni. She did a great job and I'm definitely going back to both for future service. Oh and did I mention there is wine and margaritas!?! Don't hesitate to go in! Huge Salon but with a small salon attitude giving great customer service. Took my daughter in law for a treat while visiting and what a treat it was. Any place that offers free wine or Margaritas with your nail service is going to get my attention. We had Kim and Tim as our technicians and they did a great job of our mani pedis. They took their time to make sure they did a quality job. They were very pleasant and chatty. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Abilene. read more

Bought the top package for my daughter and I... we are from Dallas visiting family. Hers was ok- very nice guy. But the top packages w massages are not worth it. Mine was definitely done by a task oriented individual.... They rush through the massage and it's delivered in a way that makes you feel they are just getting through it as fast as possible... and I'm not entirely sure if you timed it you get shorted. I was nicked 2x and once bled. I've been here before , good experience then and the only reason I gave the third star, great atmosphere but I'm trying another place upon my return to my hometown next weekend with my whole family of 6 ;) read more

I am giving 3 stars because I had a great experience the last time I went but this time I went to "Nina" and she wouldn't let me pick the colors I wanted and kept telling me "No that won't look good" "I know more I do this every day" and after about 15 minutes of begging to get the colors I wanted I said fine I will do the one you want (yellow) and I hate them. She yelled at me three times for setting my hands down flat she wanted me to hold them out in the air the entireee time and would get upset if I would turn and talk to my neighbor. The first time I went to this place I got my dip powder done by Peter and he did an amazing job. I super duper picky about my nails and I didn't Gina a single flaw. The second time I went I asked for him again and he seemed to remember me. He did okay on my nails the second time...they were too square but it was whatever. I wasn't gonna fuss over that. The third time I went Peter was with someone already so they had Tina do my mani....DO NOT LET TINA GO NEAR YOUR HANDS! First off, she didn't talk at all unless it was to her co workers and of course in a different language....she seemed rushed and when she got to filing my nails she was super rushed. She hurt me once and said ow so she can take the hint to calm down on the aggressive filing but of course she needed up cutting me on my other hand as well. That time there was blood and tears. She squires alcohol in it right away and said sorry and tried to finish but at that point I wasn't about to let her cut me AGAIN. So, Peter stepped in and finished my nails. I don't go there anymore nor do I get dip powder. Just simple manis because I have major trust issues now lol read more

Had a great mani/pedi on a quiet Friday late afternoon. The female owner did my hands and was very sweet and chatty. David did my feet and was spectacular - awesome foot massage. Highly recommend the one pedicure up from basic - I think it's called Spa - for the massage with David. I went today June 19 2018 and is was not good! I asked how much a dip manicure was and I was told 40 - one lady doing pedi another doing nails when I asked are you not going to cuticles she oh no that's 15 more - only dip is 40, that was not what I was told! She rushed and my arm hurt from holding it up! I had informed them that I was not in a hurry and I could go to the table. Before all this I asked for a lip wax well the lady waxed me here in my chair with everyone to see.
