- One of the Worst Experiences I've Ever Had With an Engine Rebuild I trusted Castle Motors in Brookfield with rebuilding the engine in my 2007 Trailblazer SS. Unfortunately, this turned into one of the most frustrating automotive experiences I've ever had. Before bringing my vehicle to Castle Motors, I did not have any transmission problems. After the engine rebuild, I began experiencing transmission issues that ultimately resulted in me having to replace the entire transmission. That was an expense I never expected to have after paying for a major engine rebuild. The problems didn't stop there. When I inspected the vehicle, I discovered missing motor mount locking nuts, something that should never be overlooked during reassembly. Missing hardware on critical engine components is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the attention to detail that went into the work. I also had exhaust issues after the rebuild. Instead of standing behind the work or repairing the problem, I was told I should take it somewhere else because another shop would be "better and cheaper." Hearing the shop that performed the work recommend another shop to fix their own issues was extremely disappointing. Another major issue was the cooling system. During the rebuild, the cooling system was not upgraded, and only a single electric fan was installed. As a result, my factory radiator eventually blew apart. I ended up having to spend even more money replacing it with a heavy-duty aluminum radiator and a proper dual electric fan setup--an upgrade that should have been discussed and installed from the beginning considering the work being done. I've also dealt with numerous other issues since getting the vehicle back, including oil leaking due to a missing engine oil dipstick, electrical problems that left the vehicle unable to start, and A/C problems that resulted in refrigerant immediately leaking out after the work. Instead of enjoying a freshly rebuilt Trailblazer SS, I've spent months chasing problems, diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and paying for repairs that I believe should never have been necessary. When you spend thousands of dollars on a professional engine rebuild, you expect quality workmanship, proper reassembly, thorough testing, and a shop that stands behind its work. That was not my experience. I cannot recommend Castle Motors based on everything I've gone through. If you're considering having major engine work done here, I encourage you to ask detailed questions, inspect the work carefully, and make sure you're comfortable before moving forward. I sincerely wish I had taken my Trailblazer somewhere else. read more

SCAM ALERT: DO NOT BUY FROM CASTLE MOTORS They pulled a predatory "Yo-Yo" financing scam on my little sister's first car purchase. One week ago, they finalized paperwork with my sister and her co-signer, who was 100% upfront about having no driver's license but having good credit. The salesman, Michael, lied to their faces saying it was fine and proceeded with the credit check and down payment. They let my sister drive the car home, but called 4 days later saying they "changed their mind" on the co-signer's license, canceled the contract, and demanded the car back. My sister fully complied and returned the car, but they are now ILLEGALLY stealing her $500 down payment, claiming it covers "added mileage" over those 4 days. This is a direct, flat-out violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act (815 ILCS 505/2C), which explicitly bans motor vehicle dealers from withholding deposits, fees, or mileage deductions when a transaction falls through. UPDATE ON THEIR GENERIC GOOGLE REPLY: Castle Motors posted a fake, polite reply online pretending they want to "work toward a solution," but their actions in person tell the real story. My mom and sister just went back to the dealership for a second time to get their money. Not only did salesman Michael double down on refusing to refund the $500, but he also ILLEGALLY refused to provide copies of the signed, canceled paperwork from the car return! To make it worse, instead of returning our cash, they tried to aggressively manipulate my stressed-out mother by saying, "Well, how about this different car instead for a lower price?" Pure predatory, shady behavior. My mom told them exactly where to go. We are not deleting this review, and we are not falling for your scam. A formal consumer fraud complaint has been filed with Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul's Office, and a dealer fraud file has been submitted to the Illinois Secretary of State Police Dealer Licensing Unit. Refund the $500 to her Zelle account immediately or deal with the state investigators. Avoid this predatory lot at all costs! read more

I purchased a car from Castle Motors last August and had a genuinely great experience from start to finish. The entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and very informative throughout the process, which made buying a car feel much less stressful. What stood out the most was how they handled any issues or questions that came up after the purchase. Instead of brushing things off, they were responsive, helpful, and made sure everything was taken care of properly. That level of customer service is hard to find and definitely made me feel confident in my purchase. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. I would absolutely recommend Castle Motors to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and a dealership experience that feels honest and professional. read more

I have been in my vehicle for almost two months now and I have enjoyed it quite a bit. read more

Sells poor quality vehicles worh warranties shops not even big enough for some vehicles let alone there working on there own vehicles for a separate business so odds are you'll be waiting a while and theyll be sending your vehicle somewhere else for service because they can't meet service needs such a waste of time here if I could give 0 stars I would read more
