A few weeks ago my mom got into an accident in my brand new 2015 Nissan Sentra Sv and my insurance sent my car to carstar in Brookfield. I NEEDED to get my car fixed and since the insurance suggested it I assumed that when it was sent here things that were damaged by the accident would get fixed. Things were NOT fixed properly. My rear rim is still bent and there is more damage to my car that was not there. I have random scratches on my car, and things weren't screwed in right. If anyone wants there car fixed correctly I suggest they go somewhere else! read more

My car was taken here per my insurance. Tony, the owner was reasonable after I had decided to decline service due to what I would consider poor service by Tony Lamoreaux. I requested for my car to be reassembled to its original state but they refused to do so. Upon receiving my vehicle, the front bumper was bent at a place where there was no original impact. They threw everything in the trunk and got dirt on the fabric throughout the interior and to top it off they scratched the inside of my door jam railing all the way through the metal. I took my car here for repairs based on this being the place my insurance company recommended. The work on my car was done well. The staff waited a few minutes past closing as I was stuck in traffic coming to pick up my vehicle when it was ready. It's also nice that Enterprise is located next door (though I find Enterprise to be a 'meh' rental company, it was convenient. My only complaint is about their communication. I had to call them each time I wanted to get an update, despite being told that I would be called with updates on my car and the progress. read more

I just fixed my 2007 Jeep Cherokee at Car Star in Brookfield through my insurance State Farm. Tony was the collision estimator that helped me and kept me updated during the whole time my car was in the shop. When I got my vehicle back it was cleaner then when I dropped it off and couldn't even tell it was worked on. I will definitely recommend this shop to anyone else in need of a collision repair. I have had good experiences with Scola's CarStar twice in the past when there was insurance coverage and an insurance company acted as mediator. But, my recent repairs were at my personal expense and did not involve an insurance company. After bumping the original estimate from about $850 to about $1500, we picked up the car and paid the final bill. Over a month later, I received a phone call and an email demanding additional money for parts they claimed they had forgotten to put on the bill. I paid an extra $66 under duress but don't know if I was ripped off. Ironically, I had recommended them to a friend several years ago, and he had a similar complaint. In the future, I will not use them because, in my opinion, I can't trust them. read more

Do not recommend. Made the appointment for a quote over the phone. The are horrible hours for those who work. Ended up scrambling to get there, when I got there the receptionist had no clue what was going on. Seemed very confused about having an appointment. Looks into the system and is shocked that I am in the system. However still acting like I was the biggest inconvenience because she was unaware of the appointment. She then tells me it's $15 for a quote knowing that they didn't tell me in advance. I say something along the lines, well I made the appointment, showed up, and no one told me in advance, so wouldn't it make sense to wave this fee, since I wasted my time to come in. And she says and I quote " Well there is a sign" and points to the sign. So yeah that should give you an idea of their customer service let alone organization. I brought my car to get repaired here and when I got it back their were a few minor surface scratches on the drivers door. When I mentioned it to the owner he took full responsibility and pulled it back in right away. No argument, no it was you it wasn't us. Just took responsibility and got me taken care of. I am pretty disappointed I chose this place to repair my vehicle. I was not going to write a review until today's voicemail form the owner. I found this place conveniently located near my home and an enterprise so I chose this place to have my vehicle repaired. I called to have make an appointment to drop off my car. I walk in at my appointment time to drop off the car and was told they do not have my down or have it listed anywhere I was dropping off my car. They still took it after I sat around for a while, guess I should be happy they were so accommodating? About a week later I get a call from my insurance company stating that car star told them this is old damage so they were going to drop my claim. Luckily, I park in a parking garage for work and know people who work there. I had to spend time getting photo's of my car the day before and send this over to my insurance company. Next, I am told my car will be ready a week later. A week later I call and they said it's not ready they will call me the next day. Of course no call. this happened every day for a few days. They also did not inform my insurance they still had my car, so enterprise at this point was calling me. Finally I call and they said my car would be ready that day at 4, I work beyond the time they close so I said I will pick it up first thing in the morning when they open. I walk in 5 minutes after they open and am standing there a good 10-15 minutes with no one at the front. I can hear someone playing music in the bathroom. Finally I see someone in the back and had to yell for them. I get my car and pay what I owe. I asked if they were sure that was it and they said yes. I get into my car and see a car part in the back seat. um okay? I should have went back in but I did not. I drive away to work and my tire light goes on. They had to replace the wheel, mine originally had a sensor on it and it was replaced with a non sensor. the old tire was placed in my trunk. My tire had the sensor when I brought it (the proof was left in my trunk) in and should have been on there when I left. At this point I was annoyed but whatever its a car shop. Was not expecting anything spectacular. It has been maybe two weeks? I get a voicemail today from the owner. Stating that my insurance company sent me a check that was owed to him and he will send me to collections and said he will put a lean on my car. Really? this is the first time I am hearing about this and I get a call with this aggressive rude voicemail. He was right I did owe him this chump change. I called right away to pay it of course. Had the voicemail just said please call us it is very important I would not be wasting my time writing this. The customer service here is really poor. I am paying to take my car somewhere else to fix the sensor on my tire. I know I should take it back, but I do not want to go back unless I need to under the warranty of the parts. I see other people gave good ratings on customer service, not sure why they were not with me but I will never go back here. read more

This place is a total body shop scan they try to charge my insurance company with on authorize repairs on a scratch on my passenger door that was done months prior to the accident they they also took about an extra week on top of the expected due date besides The unnecessary bodywork they totally destroyed my door filled it with body fillerand had it re- painted from the original factory paint..just so date can at a higher total to the billrvrooman@Esurance." read more

My daughter's Chevy Equinox was keyed from the front of the driver's door all the way to the rear tail light. It had multiple deep scratches that looked terrible. Tony at Carstar Scola's Collision Center assured me our one year old car would look like new when they were done with it. Do not waste your money and come here. I was given an estimate for $1500 and charged $15 for them just to give it. And two other body shops quoted me $400-$500 for the same repair. Safe to say I didn't end up fixing it there. read more
