We normally go to Facinations when looking to be adventurous however, tonight we decided to try The Castle Superstore. It's been a long while since I've been here and I have to say, they have come a long way. I remember these stores being the "lower class" version of what they do compared to the other place but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this store was. Very well stocked and merchandised and the entire store was clean and well lit. The prices seemed to be comparable to other companies so if you need an extra spot to try and fill your needs, this is a great option. There were two people working and they were helpful but we felt a little overbearing since we originally had told them we were just browsing. Had it not for that, I would have given 5 stars. This is how I describe Castle in comparison to Fascinations. Castle is food city (no offense) and Fascinations is AJ's. Castle's focus are every type of customer from those who are hookers, escorts, strippers, porn industry, college student, divorcee, married or partnered couples. Castle Megastore falls in the second category. On arriving about 1 PM, there were several cars in the parking lot. When I pulled the door open, the clerk caught my eye and said "Hello." I replied and cast my view about the store. Clothing opportunities, toys, DVDs and magazines available in abundance. I came in search of a DVD title from a few years ago, which was highly recommended to me. As I walked toward the DVDs, the clerk advised if I needed help, just let her know. I like a shopping experience (hardware/department store/buying a car) where the salesperson is not hovering over you...but has made you aware they are there to assist if you need assistance. The mix of patrons was interesting. A couple of "ladies who lunch" were perusing what appeared to be bathing suits...several "working girls" were there to stock up on their preferred condoms and lube...two couples were looking at various toys and two men were perusing magazines and DVDs. I found what I was looking for without having to ask the clerk. Clean, not skanky, decent prices...absolutely!
