VERY disappointed in Castle Karaoke. We originally had the room RESERVED for 6-9pm. The guy didn't show up to open up until around 6:10pm. I was the one that had to make contact first to find out what was happening because he didn't. We ended up starting our session @ 6:35pm - in which HE let us know that this will be our new start time (because he was late) & we will end @ 9:35pm. Keep in mind that it was super hot BECAUSE HE WAS LATE TO SET EVRYTHING UP!!!! He also had the nerve to ask my husband "is this for a birthday?" in which my husband said "yeah it is." Then the guy asked "do you guys have confetti?" My husband laughed it off and said "no we do not." & the guy responds, "okay good." Our group extended another hour before our time was up. He tells us "your end time is 10:30pm" cutting us 5 minutes. We didnt think anything of it. Whats 5 minutes... thats nothing major. We then did another 1 hour extension, which you'd think 1 hour from 10:30 is 11:30... he then told my sister (who extended) that our end time is 11:15!! He told her "it's because I gave your group 15 minutes to set up before you started." She didn't say anything about it, but came back in the room & told me that. I went outside to ask for clarification because it did NOT make sense that we are PAYING for the time we are using their system & they allowed us the 15 minute set up time prior to our session starting! When I asked about it, he told me "it's because I gave you 15 minutes before to set up." I then asked "okay, so just to clarify... with us setting up, 15 minutes before the karaoke session, that cut us 15 minutes of karaoke? Is set up time included in the karaoke session & what we are paying for?" He tells me "no it's not included you can set up before you start. But since let you guys set up 15 minutes before thats why your thats your end time." So i reiterate -- "So because we set up 15 minutes before, we are cut 15 minutes from our Karaoke session? But you just told me that the set up time is not included. And you also told us before that our end time is 9:35, then changed to 10:30 & now it's 11:15?! That does not make sense when we are paying." He responds with, "thats okay. You guys can just have the 15 minutes." So of course I respond with "we will because it's what we PAID for." We then decided to extend 1 more hour. At this point, you can already tell that the guy is even MORE irritated. I asked what our end time was, he says "12:30pm." So i told him "okay thank you! This is our last hour." 12:15 hits and we are still singing, but also starting to wrap things up by gathering & putting away whatever we had out. 12:24am hits -- the door opens. It's the guy with a trash can & the broom. We are still singing because we have till 12:30am to end our session. He leaves the door open & tells us "your session is up." One of my sisters said "it's not 12:30 yet." he walks away. He comes back at 12:26am & says it again, "your session is up." My sister continues to sing. I told her to stop & let's get out of here because of the shitty service they've been providing. As soon as we all walk out, he locks the door, shuts everything off & turns off the "open" sign. We were the last ones there. Their hours of operation literally state 5pm-2am. & you are allowed to extend as long as there's no reservations after you! WHICH THERE WERE NONE! You'd think they'd be happy to get money & service on a Thursday night when they are slow. But this guy was a total dick who tried to cut time off of our session that we are paying for, because he wanted to close up & leave!! read more

So much fun! Who could ask for anything else, pay for the room, play the music you want, bring your own food/beverages!!

There's 4 rooms. The ones I know of are a big size (good for groups/parties), medium size (can probably fit about a dozen or so people but might be kind of tight), and a smaller private size room. But not sure about the last room. We called to do a reservation and they said just walk in for the small room. Some of the songs are older. It would be nice to see more current song choices, but it's still a lot of fun! Room can be a bit sweaty even with AC and fans. BYOB. BYOPupus. There's a trash can and a bucket for recycles in the room. When you go, you gotta tell how many people and how many hours before you can find out if a room is available. For a moment it almost felt like we couldn't get a room. It's about $40 per hour. It's easy to be there for couple hours minimum! Time flies when you're having fun. Just FYI - those under 21 have to leave by a certain hour even though Castle Karaoke is open until 2am. Overall, as one of the few private karaoke places in town, it's usually a fun time with friends that keeps us coming back. read more

If this spot was on the mainland, it would be sketchy as fuuuuu**, but it's not. It's on Maui. So forget the fact that it looks like you are entering someone's personal residence, grab a cooler, fill it with booze and pupus, and grab the mic. This place is BYOB, and BYOM (bring your own munchies). I've had many good nights and terrible hangovers because of Castle's. read more

Tried to book a room and was informed we have (this time) available and than they said it's not available now that the party prior wants to extend! The experience was okay. There was a lot of song options, but i guess the karaoke set that we got only had older songs and it wasnt updated. Also, it was $40 for an hour and $80 for 2 hours which was pricey. While singing, we got a visit from a centipede... and we only got thanked for killing it. read more

I have tried to book a room multiple times and they refuse to book us because, in their words "it's kinda late huh?" It's not professional and their hours say they are open till 2am. I have called at least 12 hours prior to the time I want to book and they think it's too late (11pm, the time I wanted to book) and refuse service. If you asked me 2 years ago, where is the best karaoke place on Maui, I would've said Castle Karaoke. But things have changed since then, especially the customer service. With an empty parking lot, we were told all the rooms were full at the moment. We then asked what time would a room be next available to which she replied we are booked for the night. Super friendly!! Room is super big and equipment is new!! Lots of updated songs and very nice selection! It's bring your own drinks and food but that's even better because we brought all the drinks and food we wanted and it was really cheap!! If your Maui i would recommend it! :) read more

Recently went here for my friends birthday, spent $500 for 5 hours, the owner was not only rude but asked for a tip, she then told us to leave, and when we're about to leave we decided to help clean up the room and mop the floors, and then she told us we didn't pay the amount we payed. long story short 100% would not recommend, customer service is bad and the owner is rude and grouchy. read more

Decent looking place, we were greeted by a nice hostess at the door. Small private rooms were available for just $25.00 per hour for up to 7 people. It was okay to bring in your own food and drinks. There were both a Hawaiian song book as well as an English songbook available (Korean was available as well). They had these great remote controllers about the size of a tablet that controlled the Karaoke system. I was amazed that the place wasn't a lot more busier for a Friday night.
