Within four days, we had an experienced coordinator assigned--and what a blessing that turned out to be. Rachel Roddewig and her assistant were absolutely AMAZING. Rachel met with us twice--first for an hour and then for another two and a half hours. She developed a detailed schedule and timeline and came prepared with thoughtful questions to ensure that every detail had been addressed. During the week leading up to the wedding, Rachel contacted every vendor to confirm logistics, schedules, and responsibilities. She also directed the staff I had hired for setup, bussing, breakdown, and cleanup. She attended the rehearsal, arrived early to walk the grounds and familiarize herself with the venue, coordinated everyone for the ceremony, and took care of every detail throughout the reception. We were assigned Christina Tran as our coordinator who started working with us properly about 2 months out from our wedding. I have told so many people this by now, but hiring SmittenKiss and Christina was the BEST money we spent on our wedding. I am so serious. I have been to multiple weddings in the past year and not to sound overly smug, but our wedding was by far the most on-time and smoothly run wedding of them all. And one of the biggest contributors to this was Christina. She and her day-of assistant did such a phenomenal job keeping us on schedule and communicating with all the vendors. Multiple times throughout the day our photographers and videographers remarked "I can't believe we're on schedule!!!" And beyond just the task of keeping everything running smoothly on the day, for me the peace of mine of getting to let someone else take over was priceless. I am a VERY Type A person, a massive planner, and a complete control freak. I was able to plan the vast majority of our wedding with my husband without a full-service planner. But 2 months out from the wedding Christina reached out and told me she would be taking over all direct vendor communication from there on out and I didn't realize how much a relief that would be. On the day of my wedding I was able to fully enjoy my wedding and not have to worry about answer questions and directing people. Also, SmittenKiss provided us with a really helpful workbook that broke down seating arrangements, desired photos (though our photo/video company also had one), song list, schedule breakdown, props/items, etc. I already had a massive wedding master spreadsheet, but I still found this really useful. As the owner of an event venue, creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing good customer service should be a priority. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this venue.

When my friends and I were deep in conversations, I forgot we were in a closed room and it felt like we were sitting at a table in a forest instead! We loved all of the food and drinks that were served. We had blueberry scones, tea, lemonade, various finger sandwiches, salad, cheesecake, and sparkling cider. We were able to take home the leftover food and we had plenty to eat between the 6 of us. Denise is friendly and easy to communicate with both via email and in person.
