My husband and I wanted to be very involved in the planning process and we chose the Wedding Day Direction package, which worked out really well. Chanda was like our Fairy Godmother, providing so much wisdom and guidance for us as we navigated planning a wedding. She was so patient with us and has a really beautiful energy as a human being. Her team was incredible as well on the day of the event, Zeraka and all of the ladies were so kind and encouraging. I felt very supported. She coordinated multiple site visits to make sure the venues, vendors, and our families were all aligned. There wasn't a single concern, big or small, that we brought to her that she didn't help us navigate with calmness and reassurance. When it came to decor, we came to her with countless ideas that changed constantly, and R&R helped us organize everything into a cohesive and realistic vision we were genuinely excited about. Raman suggested themes and ideas we never would have thought of on our own and was always transparent about what was and wasn't possible. In the end, the team exceeded our expectations across all of our events. The team also helped with custom items like signage and photos, picking everything up earlier in the week while setting up our home decor so we didn't have to think about a thing. From the moment we met Jenni, we knew that she was the right planner for us, and going with her and her team was by far the most important decision we made. At first, we thought we could plan our wedding on our own, but as busy early-career professionals, we quickly realized we needed someone we could trust completely to carry out our vision without too much oversight. Jenni offered exactly that. From our first meeting, we felt listened to and could tell that she genuinely understood what we wanted out of the wedding and knew exactly how to handle the mountain of tasks necessary to make that vision a reality. Throughout the planning process, Jenni made it possible for us to plug into and out of planning as needed, and at every check-in, we were amazed by how much progress she made. It was not uncommon for us to raise questions or needs at these check-ins only for her to tell us that she had anticipated them and handled them exactly how we would've wanted. Without Jenni, we simply could not have had the wedding we had. Since Jenni is so experienced and beloved by vendors and venues she's worked with, she was able to curate a team that perfectly matched our taste. There's no way we would've found our venue--which was nothing short of magical--without Jenni, because the owners of the venue don't host many weddings but have a personal relationship to Jenni, so the venue is not something generic you would find on Google or wedding venue sites. Also, all of our vendors had worked with Jenni before and, as a result, had either worked with each other or at the venue before. This made the wedding that much better because the vendors were comfortable and familiar with each other and with the venue, so they could better focus on their work and have fun while doing so. If you want a wedding that uniquely reflects your relationship, choose Jenni, who has the connections to make that possible. If it's any indication, every vendor we worked with praised Jenni and told us how lucky we were to have the best wedding planner. Nothing phased Jenni. She is incredibly organized and a spreadsheet master. Having attended our share of weddings as guests, we have definitely come across planners that seemed stressed and overwhelmed. Jenni is the complete opposite of that. Jenni handled everything that came our way with grace, levity, and a smile. The day before our wedding, Jenni remarked that "Nothing scares me anymore," and that is 100% true from everything we observed. At no point throughout the planning process or the wedding did Jenni make us feel stressed. She only ever made us feel calmer because we knew that the wedding was in good hands and that we did not need to worry. What makes Jenni special is that she is also the loveliest person on top of being a master wedding planner. You can tell that she loves her work and genuinely cares for her clients. During the rehearsal and wedding, she made the effort to speak with our family members and friends, and everyone loved her instantly and could tell that the wedding was going to be incredible in her capable hands. Having her as a wedding planner often felt like having an old friend taking care of things for you. We sincerely cannot imagine a better wedding planner than Jenni. We had talked to several other planners, all of whom seemed capable, but didn't quite vibe with our goals and vision. We were having a multi-cultural wedding (Indian & German) and her team and her energy (and their knack for beautiful, unique and colorful weddings) had what we were looking for. My husband and I both are pretty type-A, but really busy with our work/travel schedules, so we needed someone who would hold up to our insane standards and that we could trust creatively to help make our vision come to life, with minimal stress. Jenni & her team were INCREDIBLE. Any time I got nervous throughout the process, she was right there to assure us that it was all going to be fine (spoiler: it always was). She helped source us an incredible team of vendors, and made sure we had the best wedding imaginable. We ran into a few last minute snafus with our venue, and Jenni was an absolute lifesaver, allowing us to focus on our families and getting our important personal tasks done. Finally, the weekend of our wedding was perfect- if there were things that went wrong, we have no idea- which is truly an incredible blessing. I felt that Ann…read morewas not adequately detail oriented for the size and complexity of our event, although ultimately everything turned out great. Pluses: 1. Ann is friendly and professional. She made me feel special during the planning process. 2. We technically had not paid her for wedding planning- only for the day of coordination - but she was happy to meet with me at length before the wedding and also met with the florist and my sister who was involved in the planning. She made a special site visit and made helpful suggestions to my sister. 3. Ann appears to be very experienced. She thought of issues to consider during the wedding planning which I never would have thought of including considering how to position readers in the ceremony seating arrangement, where parents most likely should sit, etc. She similarly gave helpful suggestions for the order of the procession. She recommended making lists of people to pick up centerpieces, leftover cake, and other equipment from the wedding so that the day of went more smoothly. I felt that her suggestions helped us feel more relaxed on the day of the event because many things were "taken care of." 4. When my sister discovered at the last minute that the chairs that arrived were incorrect, Ann spent time with the vendors and helped correct the problem. Behind the scenes, she took care of everything and I didn't even know about it. Minuses: 1. During the pre-wedding preparation periods, I started to notice that she failed to read most of the emails I sent her or CC'ed her on to update her on changes in plans. 2. At the rehearsal I was shocked to find that she had a beautiful timeline and outline of all the details of the wedding which she didn't seem familiar with (I heard her daughter puts the packet together for her). She was inefficient in conducting the rehearsal due to lack of familiarity with the details. 3. The day of the wedding she was often not present or readily available, even when we called her cell phone. 4. She failed to make sure corsages and bouquets were available for the photos even though we followed her timeline so she should have known when to bring them. 5. I heard afterward that she snapped at a family member who came to kindly ask why the candles for the ceremony had been removed. 6. When the time of the bouquet toss came I realized that she had not made the toss bouquet available to me and she was unavailable at that time. I ended up using my real bouquet which luckily i was ok with parting with. Overall, I will say this- my wedding turned out beautifully. I didn't feel that this was really because of Ann, but I think that she may have done some behind the scenes work that helped. There weren't any major disasters, but I wondered if she would have been able to handle it if there had been. A simpler and smaller wedding may make for a different story. In addition, her strengths may be more in helping with the planning process than in the hectic day of coordination.

I had searched and searched and even met with a couple other party planners and event specialists. This business has so many qualified people who can really pull out all the stops. I was really looking for a genuine connection with the person that I chose to work with for our very special event. I am so thankful that I was able to find that connection with Marshecka and then some!! The event I was planning was my daughter's Quinceanera. One of the most important days in a young woman's life in the latin culture! It is an event that comes together with the love and support of the entire family (immediate and extended) . Marschecka was so patient and accommodating as I had constant input and ideas that I was sharing with her. I was working with a budget but wanted the world :-) Marschecka was absolutely amazing when it came to taking my vision and working within my means!! She was able to secure a vendor that provided uplighting for the entire ballroom. WOW!! It was so beautiful! Just the lighting alone added such an amazing touch of class!! My family and daughter's friends complimented the lighting so much! She also secured a vendor that took care of the balloons for us. It was very important to us that we have balloons but that the room did not look informal or too childish. Marshecka and her vendor took our vision and found the perfect way to compliment the ballroom!! My vision was for the entire ballroom to have draping. I saw so many pictures online of events that were just breathtaking because of draping!! Unfortunately, that amazing decor comes at a very expensive price and I didn't have the budget for it. Marshecka was able to take the budget I did have and the vision I had and designed an absolutely magnificent backdrop and head table decor!! It was such a beautiful focal point!! Marshecka's style and execution was more than I could have imagined!! It was so wonderful to hear family and friends feel like they were at a royal event without it compromising my budget!! Marshecka was has a great heart and compassion!! I recommend her to anyone looking to plan a special event! I feel like she treated me as if I was her family and that allowed me to enjoy my event and not stress about the details. She had my back the entire time!!

You're either reading this because you're just starting out planning your wedding, or you've been…read moreplanning your wedding and you had no idea how much work it would be. I was in the latter category, and having never participated in the wedding planning process, I had no idea what a wedding coordinator did. I only found Marshecka after I had given serious consideration to cancelling what should have been a low key wedding reception. Simply stated, a wedding coordinator is the person you don't know you need until it really starts to hit the fan. When you're feeling overwhelmed, when your vendors go MIA after you've accepted their bid, when you have no idea how your venue is going to get setup in time for your event, when those you've hired to help aren't getting the job done, and when your significant other doesn't really seem interested in anything wedding related, this is your go to person. Do yourself a favor and hire Marshecka at the initial planning stages. Wedding coordinators may seem expensive, but you'll save yourself time and money if you aren't wedding savvy. My family and friends that came to help setup our venue and deliver the décor had nothing but positive things to say about Marshecka and her team. When they needed something, her response was, "I'm on it." I thought she was a bargain for all of the work she got accomplished, and believe me, with all of the décor and vendors at our reception, she had a lot of work to do. My only regret was not hiring her sooner, because I think she could have made my life much easier.
