Such an amazing place to come and enjoy the best bagels in town
Marlon B.

The owners are so sweet. They're very friendly and every time we come, we always get a positive experience highly recommend it. one of the owners was such a sweetheart she gave my daughter a chocolate chip bagel just to show kindness. Amazing service 10 out of 10 everybody has to come here!!! I know we do.

I was really excited to visit this new location and it didn't disappoint. The food was great and made very fast! The service was nice and welcoming. My egg sandwich with chive was delicious! I do wish they had the bagel bombs available at this location. The inside was very cute and well decorated.

Sadly, the last few times the bagels havent been toasted the best. The toaster oven broke. So I had to take my bagel home to toast it. The next day no issues... but then I realized they bought a toaster. Which is the reason why everything is running so slow! Yesterday I went and my bagel was barely toasted - and they forgot the butter. I think I need to take a break... maybe they can get their toaster oven fixed. It really makes the difference.

Studebaker with large iced tea
Ana J.

As a fan of Cassidy corners bagels I was super excited that they were joining the Whittier community. They didn't disappoint! Parking is on the street and I imagine can get tricky when they're busy. I ordered a studebaker and a passion iced tea. I opted to get it with the agave syrup for 50cents more but I don't think I'll do that again. I didn't care for the flavor. It was still good and refreshing. The bagel Sando was bomb! I only ate half cause it was a lot. I got it with a tomato basil bagel. They had run out of a lot of bagel options by the time I got there around 12pm so go early so you have your pick. They have some seating options inside and outdoors. The team working was friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be going back! Welcome to Whittier Cassidy's! So glad you're here!

Where's the $2.25 cream cheese??

I'm going to give this place another chance. The everything bagel was salty!!! Too salty I can feel myself bitting into the salt. $2.25 for cream cheese!!!? Are you serious it barely had anything on my bagel The coffee 12oz was $3 Plain coffee, no room to add your sugar or creamer on the counter because as you're trying to do so there's people behind you trying to get their order. Service was good. Can they not cut bagel? Can you give me my cream cheese on the side option I'm not okay with $2.25 for just cream cheese and $3+ on bagels that's crazy Place was packed no room to sit down because the line and people waiting were everywhere

Visited today on their first day of soft opening the cafe. So happy that the community came out to support a new business. Line was long but the vibe was cool with a DJ and coffee samples. The restaurant was clean and table were bussed very quickly. Service was about 10 mins after I ordered. Staff was super nice and friendly. Food was ok. Ingredients tasted fresh. Bagels were soft on the inside and nicely toasted on the outside Coffee was ok too. I wish them the best .

Cool wall of bagels

Good tasting breakfast bagels but parking is kinda tricky if you've never been here before. Some people park on the street right in front but they also have a lot in the back. Anyways, Joe's Special had a unique twist with the lemon pepper and jalapeño cream cheese on top of the bacon and egg! I'm biased but their jalapeño cheddar bagel is the best and it's not that spicy but had good flavor. Will be back for another quick breakfast!

Ordered the Joe's special with an Asiago bagel. Loved it! Super flavorful and the bagel had the perfect chew. I kinda wish I chose jalapeño cheddar too but I was worried it would be too much jalapeño - but it wasn't!

Joe's Special at Cassidy's Corner Cafe is a must-try! The combination of crispy bacon, egg, melted cheese, jalapeño cream cheese, and a hint of lemon pepper on a fresh bagel is packed with flavor and makes for a satisfying breakfast. Paired with a fresh cup of coffee, it's the perfect way to start the day. The coffee was smooth, rich, and complemented the sandwich perfectly. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back for another Joe's Special and coffee!

This was my first time going to Cassidy's corner in Whittier and I will say it was a great experience. The customer service was on point. I got a coffee and a breakfast sandwich bagel and the quality in both were great! It was a girl's coffee outing and my friend got a cinnamon glazed bagel with plain cream cheese. Their bagels and cream cheese were on point, everything was so delicious! We will definitely be returning!

Black decaf. I haven't yet drank any, for reference.

If only I listened to my wife! We were supposed to go try this new menudo spot and idk why I wanted a sourdough jalapeño bagel (maybe because she has me spoiled with her home made sourdough bagels). In any case, we stopped by this place to give it a try. I always try to be very objective and fair in my reviews. COFFEE: I ordered a Spanish Latte and it was one of the worst I've had. It was not a Spanish latte. It was a latte with a ton of condensed milk, or some type of sweetener. It tasted like a hot Starbucks sugar overload drink and nothing like a Spanish latter. Not to mention that the cup was 1/3 empty at the top: not sure if they were leaving room for something. ‍ The drink was so bad that I asked to switch it for a straight black hot coffee. My wife had the Signature coffee. She said it was "ok." I will leave it there. BAGELS : There is nothing worse than cold bagels, at least for my preference. Besides the bagels being cold, they were soft and seemed fresh. The cream cheese was fine. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Customer service was ok. AMBIANCE/ LOCATION: Parking is good if you can find a spot on Whittier Blvd, otherwise park on Gunn. The inside is on the smaller side and feels a little crammed. They also have tables outside which is good, except on a hot day like today. In short, would we come back, no.

I visited after seeing several TikTok reviews praising the bagels and coffee. We arrived around 11:30 a.m., and the only bagels available were plain and blueberry. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, but the spread was uneven and very light on one side. The coffee tasted like it was made from a powdered mix, and the passion tea tasted more like regular tea than passion tea. The employee who helped me was very friendly and allowed me to exchange the tea, which I appreciated. However, I was concerned when it appeared the returned drink was set aside after I had already taken a sip. Overall, the customer service was pleasant, but the food and drinks did not meet the expectations I had based on the reviews.

Highly recommend! If you haven't tried this place yet, you're definitely missing out. . I absolutely love everything about this place! The vibe and music always make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The owners and staff are incredibly down-to-earth and greet everyone with genuine kindness. Yes, the line can get long during peak hours, but just like anywhere that's popular, that's to be expected. I can honestly say the wait is always worth it...the bagels are amazing, and the coffee is consistently top-notch. I've been coming here at least once a week since they opened, and they've never disappointed. Parking can vary depending on the time of day, but don't let that stop you. Take a short walk, and you'll be rewarded with a bomb coffee and, yes, THE BEST BAGELS IN TOWN! *** One thing I'd like to add: If you're not satisfied with your order, please give the staff an opportunity to make it right. I'm sure they'll take care of you. It's unfair to come online and immediately bash a small business, (especially one that's newly opened) without first giving them a chance to fix the issue. Every business has a learning curve, and what matters is how they respond to their customers.

We got there without the usual long wait, which was a nice surprise! I ordered the Cali Toast with country potatoes and a Rose Latte, and everything was so good. The orange juice tasted nice and cold and fresh. Very cute decor, the server was very kind and attentive. The pepper shaker cap fell off and dumped tons of black pepper on my friend's hash brown chips and they did not hesitate to bring out another order! Super kind. My only bummer was the toast on my Bacon Up Toast Breakfast was not... toast. It was very lightly toasted. Could have been WAY more toasted to hold the weight of all of the avocado spread, tomatoes, bacon, and onions that was stacked on top! Definitely needed a sturdy toast base so it was hard to pick up to eat. With the business being named TOAST, I would think they could nail the toast more. Food tasted 10/10 and will definitely be coming back. I will just ask for the toast to be more toasted for the future.

The unfortunate negative is it's location and I'm referring to parking. There must be 8 business crammed into this lot. With a bar to the right and a laudermat on its left finding a parking spot is like winning the lotto. Now layer in one driveway and you have to make a 3 point turn just to navigate to leave. The short answer is I will absolutely go back to this place as long as there is a parking space to be had.

This time we walked in and immediately thought... wait, are we in the right place? It just feels completely different now. New owners? New management? New everything? The vibe has somehow gone from cute neighborhood café to "family business that also happens to own an espresso machine." Even the barista was casually having a meal behind the register. Honestly, she might've had the right idea because I should've asked what SHE ordered. We got the Everything Croissant and the C&S Grilled Cheese. Unfortunately, both were pretty disappointing. The Everything Croissant has eggs, onion, bell pepper, cheese, tomato, house spread AND avocado. That is basically the Avengers of breakfast ingredients, yet somehow they all assembled and forgot to bring the flavor. Then came the C&S Grilled Cheese. The menu says soy chorizo, spinach, bacon, cheddar and spicy buffalo cheese. Ours had absolutely NO soy chorizo. That used to be one of the best parts! I kept looking through the sandwich like maybe it was hiding. Nope. Soy chorizo had apparently taken the day off. We also noticed several things we used to order are gone from the menu. And then, on the way through all these changes, you notice the B health department rating and think... okay Cream & Sugar, we really need to sit down and talk. I'm not trying to beat up on a local business because we genuinely used to love this place. I just hope they can bring back some of what made Cream & Sugar so good before, because right now it feels like the café we loved went on vacation and forgot to tell us.
