My back window broke (a hatchback, tinted with a defrost and wiper) on a Friday, and could NOT find a mobile service who was able to find my window, who could come down and replace it ASAP. I contacted about 4 places who all said they wouldn't receive my window until at least 4 days later. Whilst Yelping and Yelping and Yelping, I finally came across Casper, and decided to give them a shot. I gave them a call, and alas(!!!)...they actually found my window, and were able to come down the following morning! I asked how they found my window so much faster than all the other people I had contacted, and Casper explained that he's been in the business for 40+ years so he knows a lot of people. Casper was friendly, efficient, thorough, and reliable. He no longer has his store front on highland. My car was broken into and I came to find this out on a Sunday morning. A lot of repair places/people are closed on Sundays. I found him on yelp after a desperate attempt to get my window quickly replaced. I called and he quoted me a price - $145 for my 2008 Toyota rav 4 - rear passenger window (the one that rolls up and down) WITH tint. His price included parts, tax, & labor. AND he came to the house. We arranged a time to meet and he came right to the house. He quoted me a great price which included everything (no surprises). While he doesn't work with insurance directly, he can get you the invoice you need to do it yourself--supporting a local business was worth it to me, and his prices are reasonable if you're paying out of pocket. Caspers was amazing. On my drive into work at 7 AM I called and left a message with details about needing my windshield replaced. I received a call back at 8:30, and with a suggested time of 11 AM for repair. I would have rated this a four-star due to the fact that his language was hard to understand, and did not take credit card. However due to the quality of his work and the speedy time of which it took, I overlook those minor details. Other companies had quoted much larger amounts to replace my windshield due to having a rain sensor, Caspers came way under pricing from these other companies. Kudos guys! read more

I wouldn't have found Casper Auto Glass were it not for the giant banners on the side of an auto repair shop along Highland Ave. They weren't listed in the phone book, Google or Yelp. But I needed a new windshield thanks to an encounter with a pebble on the 57 Freeway and this place was within walking distance of my house - handy when I was dropping off the car. I received great service, a fair price ($295 for a complete windshield replacement), and got to patronize a local business - which is something I always like to do. He also does mobile installation. Also, I had had a terrible experience with Alfa Auto Glass, who didn't show up after waiting for them at my house for four hours the previous day. But, just so you know and aren't put off, the "facility" is a little rough around the edges. Casper, who is friendly, but not a ghost (though he has one on his business card), operates out of a large shed at the back of aforementioned auto repair place. The shed was full of various auto detritus and his desk was a piece of plywood set on two sawhorses that was also used as his snack area judging by the box of donuts sitting atop a colorful collection of I-don't-know-what-all. It's rustic, but seemingly efficient. So don't judge an auto glass repair place by its junkyard and give Casper a chance. Super nice guy, great service, local business = no more cracked windshield! read more
