Literally my mom could not stop talking about how Makenzi made her look radiant and 30 years younger without it looking unnatural. Easy to talk to, she understands your vision and truly just enhances it. We had two artists that day for my party's size and one was delayed, no worries here because Makenzi sped up, took on extra folks, and everyone was able to be ready by the time of our first look. Loved Makenzi. I did both my trial and day of with her and couldn't be happier.

For me particularly, as someone who rarely wears makeup, it was important to look like a heightened version of myself, rather than someone completely unrecognizable. I went for a hair and makeup trial months ahead of the big day; while the hair was perfect, I had some notes to scale back the makeup. Makenzi really internalized that feedback and delivered the perfect face for the wedding day itself: understated, yet enhanced. It lasted all day and made me feel so confident. Perhaps more importantly, though, the moms were both so happy with their final product - and my mom can be tough to please! Makenzi didn't bat an eye when my mom asked for multiple tweaks to her eye makeup, and stayed right on schedule. She exudes a sunny professionalism that is so welcome as the (likely) first vendor you interact with on your wedding day! I wish Makenzi could do my makeup every day!

Joseph and Sloan brought my dream look to life and made sure I felt beautiful on my big day. They were so kind and made everyone feel comfortable. Additionally, all my bridesmaids were so thrilled with their looks. My sister said she liked her hair and makeup better than on her own wedding day! Joseph did some flawless makeup, a mix of traditional and airbrush. It was exactly what I asked for, but better. And Sloan was the sweetest--she stayed back and waited extra time so I could fit in PJ photos and helped me figure out the best look for my flower crown. She was so great and my hair was freaking beautiful--she is so talented. Highly, highly recommend for all beauty needs! Professional photos to come.

Georgia Bramhall is a curly hair magician. I loved the way she took the time to get to know what I…read morewanted out of my haircut but at the same time was confident enough to make the cut that she thought would work best for my curls. She begins with a dry cut, so she recommends showing up for your appointment with your hair down and in its natural form (try to have most of the tangles out for her sake and sanity :)). Her DevaCurl expertise was spot on. After the cut, she gives you a no poo rinse and condition and styles the hair with a DevaCurl technique. She explained the techniques she was using, but also informs you of ways to make it work at home for you. Her pointers for how to style your hair based on how much time, resources, etc. you may have are extremely reasonable and helpful. After drying for a short time she comes back and loosens up your curls and plays with them to develop a gorgeous finished product. I've never been happier with a cut! Stop by and see Georgia sometime. The salon itself is a hidden treasure. Friendly staff all around and plenty of refreshments to keep you satisfied while you wait (which is minimal).

And now I'll never stop - Jill will always be a part of my skincare routine, because my skin is the best it has ever been. I love that she approaches each appointment in a customized way, so she will use her expertise to let you know the best use of the time for your skin to see the best results. I have never experienced that type of service at any other place! I felt it was very easy to trust her fully with my skin's needs from day 1! Oh and I love that every skin session ends with the light therapy treatment (at other places is a separate service charge all on its own)... I fall asleep in there every time, and I leave so relaxed. Knowing that Jill will give you an extremely customized experience, when you come in for your appointment it's really important to communicate everything with her. For example, once I was scheduled for a peel, but when I let her know I was going to the beach the next weekend, she decided we should skip the peel and opt for Microneedling to protect my skin. I've also had other services here, including an herbal body wrap, lash extensions, and makeup - all were amazing! Jill also has her own line of cosmetics that help compliment her services, won't harm your skin, and help protect your skin as well. I can't say enough good things about Jill and her business. She is amazing and gives her whole heart to what she does, and it shows!

I wanted to try a longer lasting eye lash treatment so I felt more put together even without make…read moreup. I saw a Groupon for a lash lift treatment at this location and decided to give it a whirl. First, the booking experience and communication for the appointment were excellent! An accident on the mopac meant I was going to be late for my scheduled time (unforeseen, I left with PLENTY of wiggle room but we all know how accident traffic in Austin can be). I called to let the shop know and they were very accommodating in pushing my apt out a bit due to the u expected delay - 5 star! The shop itself was small but clean and well appointed. The room where I received my service was cozy and comfortable with blankets and pillows on offer for additional coziness if desired. My esthetician was friendly and talked me through the whole service - including explaining how the process worked and the products being used (they touted the treatment as less harsh and more "natural" than typical services). Admittedly, I am new to the lash game so this review does not have any previous experiences to compare results against or chemical vs natural products to know if one is better or worse. Check-out using the Groupon was quick and easy and so was tipping (my esthetician had a Venmo code up in the room). The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars (I would give 4.5 if I could - come on Groupon) is for two reasons. First, and this is something that happens at all beauty type appointments but it is annoying, products were pushed/recommended at check out. For me, I'd much prefer to only learn about products if I ask. If I don't ask then I'm not looking or interested and I dislike when I feel that I'm trying to be upsold at the end of an otherwise great experience. Second and this might just be my needing to manage my own first time expectations, the end result isn't as dramatic as I was expecting. I guess I expected it to look like I had false eyelashes. My lashes do look like they have a light coat of mascara on but it isn't as dramatic as I was anticipating but that's probably because I was thinking of lash extension results or false lash look and that's not what I got (so again, that's on me). Overall, I did really appreciate the space and service and I did rebook another appointment (and I plan on adding on an eyebrow gloss as well). I do appreciate the shop not using aggressive products to achieve their results and overall it was a good experience. I also think their regular pricing is pretty on par with what I've seen around Austin (but for sure check out Groupon to save a few bucks).
