My hair texture is fine, curly hair and it's something I've been struggling with on my own. I came in for a simple cut (I wanted layers and bangs) and conditioning treatment. She was so kind and gave me tips on how to take care of my hair, which I really appreciated! She is very careful and meticulous. She takes a lot of moments to ask if the cut is going well too, I could just tell she cared a lot about what I thought. I know some stylists get a little ahead of themselves with their scissors, so I was very pleased! My hair has more volume, shape, and curl now than before. I feel more confident! Even my coworkers noticed a difference in my hair :)) I think if you're anxious and haven't been anywhere before, investing in your hair here is good!

However, this last time they messed up on my hair. For the first day my girlfriend couldn't stop laughing lol. As you can see in the photo, it is very uneven in the back. I tried calling to see if I could come back in the week to get it fixed. Their number seems to always go to voicemail and their VM says for a quicker response to send a text message. I did just that. Explaining what happened, showing a picture and asking if I could come back. 0 response and it's been 2 weeks since then.

She asked excellent clarifying questions. She worked slowly and carefully. She paid attention to individual locks, getting them to fall just the right way. I had made one mistake -- I hadn't asked what the haircut was going to cost. I'm used to a haircut (including the post-cut styling) taking 30 minutes. As Sara went past the 30-minute mark and then past the 60-minute mark, I started to wonder: What is this going to cost me? $200? $300? More? After 90 minutes, she was finally done. The result was fantastic! Exactly like the photos I had shown her, and very, very flattering. I asked how much I owed her, and she said just $60! I even asked, "Are you sure?," but I certainly wasn't going to argue with her. I made sure to make another appointment with her before I left. I'm a little reluctant to tell the world what a great experience I had, because I'm afraid Sara will get all booked up and/or raise her prices! But fair is fair, she did a terrific job and I recommend her highly.

My nail tech was super friendly and did an amazing job on a custom French manicure. I asked for a thicker style, and we originally planned for a clear top coat. But she accidentally used one with subtle glitter specks--and honestly, it turned out even better than I expected. It gave the look a fun, unexpected sparkle that I ended up loving! One of the thoughtful touches I really liked was that they give you your manicure kit to take home (if you are a first timer), which you can bring back for $3 off your next visit. Compared to other salons in town that offer Russian manicures, the prices here are very reasonable. The salon itself has a super cute vibe--kind of like a "cotton candy chic" aesthetic with a light, airy feel. I went back in today to explain what happened, and they offered to repair them but since I got them done for a trip that is now over I didn't really need them done anymore. I asked for a refund, which of course they do not give. After a lot of back-and-forth, they explained that this is industry standard for nail salons. Whether that is true, or not, I don't know maybe it is! However, the fact still remains that I paid for my nails to be done and they weren't done correctly and I wasn't able to come back to get them fixed before my trip. They couldn't make an exception for that which is their right, but I will never go back. They said they couldn't afford to give refunds, and I can't afford to pay for nails that aren't done right. Ivy, who I think is like an assistant manager or something was super rude about it. There was a guy manager that was way more chill but still didn't fix anything. Boo, this place! Seriously take your money and find a place you can trust.

When I asked her, she said it would hurt..... I get it done all the time. My feet were incredibly dry and I had to buy a roller to remove my dead skin. On top of that, I had to REFILE my nails because they were not even. It sucks because she was very pleasant but did a terrible job. In addition, we went during the morning where they offered 15% off and they charged my full price. Would be nice to get at least half my money back. Very disappointing.
