I told him what I was trying to do and he immediately began taking down my information. I asked about the loan terms and different options available. I also asked about credit scores and closing dates. We had a good, long and detailed conversation. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I decided to move forward with the application process and over the next week or two, forwarded my financial information to Ana, their loan processor. Ana is very knowledgeable as well and answered additional questions about the loan and where we were in the process. At a certain point, we were able to lock-in the rate which is a good thing. As we got down to the wire, and through no fault of their own, I had to cancel the loan. However, throughout the process, both Jared and Ana was above board and did everything correctly. In summary, I found that both Jared and Ana are a good team and do an excellent job at taking care of their customers. Cashcall mortgage was used for a purchase of a home in CA. Peter, my loan officer, and Jon, my processor, made the transaction easy and smooth. Peter is very knowledgeable and easy to work with and I hope to make him my go person from now on. I am thinking of buying an investment property in the future. He mentioned they offer a no income loan called a DSCR loan that we might use on our next purchase .We used Cashcall Mortgage back in 2017 as well without any problems. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND to call Cashcall Mortgage and speak to Peter. He is always available to take my call or call me back right away when I had any questions. I cannot say how great Jon was to work with and getting my loan across the finish loan from me signing documents to funded. He was always around to take my call and help with any questions during the whole process. I will not do business with CashCall again. I did a refi with them years ago and I was very happy. I have told several friends, family and coworkers about them. However, I did a refi with them at the beginning of 2021 and I will explain below what happened to make me change my mind about them. After getting my loan, I was told the loan servicing company would be LoanCare. Shortly after the loan funding, I received a goodbye letter saying they were selling my loan and LoanCare was still the servicer. I made a couple of payments and everything was fine. I began receiving phone calls from BSI Financial stating they purchased the loan from One American Mortgage company and saying that from now on I owe them. However, I never received anything from LoanCare or One American Mortgage telling me that they sold the loan to BSI. I have tried to make my payment to LoanCare, like normal, but I'm getting an error. When I call LoanCare they are saying the loan was not sold and I still owe them. Now I have two companies saying I owe them for the same house. I've called both companies, including CashCall and One American several times and no one can figure this out. It seems like an easy fix, someone from BSI should call One American Mortgage or LoanCare and tell them since they purchased the loan, they need to notify me of the transfer. I, as the customer, should not be having to keep wasting my time to figure this out. This is an issue between these major financial institutions and I'm the one suffering. This has been extremely stressful, because I can't get a straight answer or anyone to take the extra steps to help me with this matter. I called today and spoke to a Floor Sales Manager named Nathan from CashCall. He was not very polite and his customer service skills were horrible. They will string you along for months and months telling you everything is great, even though it is a string of new names that suddenly take over for the last person, and then they eventually fail to close your loan, even after docs have been drawn and notarized, one, two, maybe three times. I have bought and sold more than 6 homes so far and never have I dealt with any lender as incompetent and unprofessional as them. I started out application on a condo we purchased last year . Lenders are supposed to order HOA documents as soon possible(within a few days) escrow opens . Bottom line, not more than 3 weeks after which is past the 21day due diligence period. Anyway, sat on the loan, no communication after the initial few days. This a 45 day escrow. They waited until 3 days before the 45th day to order more documents long story short until the No wonder they have a C rating with the Better Business Bureau and they are not Accredited by them. ! Loan#6100276623 Successfully refinance my loan 3 times in the past with CashCall Mortgage. Current Credit score avg. 800, full time emloyee with same employer for last 12 years. Salary above $100k per year., current on my primary and secondary home. Assets over $1mill. Called CashCall and asked for Dave Winslett, whom I've worked with in the past to handle my refinances. I was informed that Dave no longer works at Cash Call- and Jeremy Escobar would be my agent. I proceed with Jeremy on submitting my 1st application. A week later, I was informed by underwriting that my refinance loan was denied due to a credit report , not updated to show my loan is out of forbearance. I was told to reapply a month later once credit report is updated. 2nd Application with CashCall, same agent resubmitted my application. Once again, underwriting denied my application because Experian credit report had not been updated . I contacted Experian and went online to file the dispute. There was nothing to dispute , since Experian showed it is current . I took snapshot and sent it to the same agent. He said my credit report must have been updated since last time and to resubmit for the third time and he reran my credit report showing everything is clear and credit is clean, 800 avg. score. My loan is below 50% LTV, excellent credit score, meets FHA/FNMA requirements, and prior 3 successful refinances with CashCall- agent was able to waive the min. loan requirement. Very Low risk loan and 2 years worth of cash reserves. At the same time secondary property is generating income and already refinanced and funded during the same time as 1st application, minimizing less risk if any. 3rd application, denied by underwriting due to a prior forbearance. Sept 08, 2020, Jeremy's persistence that underwriting should accept my application to move forward has been approved by Director of Underwriting . I originated a 5% down / standard loan with CashCall in mid 2016-- purposefully avoiding an FHA loan so that I could drop mortgage insurance once I reached 20-25% equity. The setup went fine and the interest rate (thanks to Janet Yellen) is good. However the time to drop PMI has come, and Cashcall is showing what a piece of @#$?& company they are. The market has risen, and I've made enough payments and improvements to the property to reach 25% equity-- but now I'm now stuck in a cycle of idiocy, trying to obtain a review and appraisal of my property. Cashcall has been stringing me along with 30-day response periods, letters, and service agents that don't know what they're talking about. E.g. - "you can't drop PMI sooner than 5 years" (Yes you can. You just have to have 75% LTV rather than 80%) "Fannie Mae won't accept a BPO appraisal in California." (Fannie Mae is a federally backed institution with uniform standards for the entire country) "The formal appraisal cost is $580" (Fannie Mae's own website says a BPO is $150 and a restricted one-unit appraisal is $325). While I'm frustrated that CashCall seems to be employing stall tactics in hopes the market declines... I doubt they're coordinated enough to actually implement such a strategy. They just employ num-nums whose lack of knowledge and screw ups can cost you thousands of $$$. Beware. read more

I had a great experience refinancing a few times a few years ago but found out that my contact person is gone and this company is not what it used to be. I contacted someone whose name I found here last October and I was specifically asking for the current rates. He initially responded to me but stopped doing so and would not disclose the all important detail re whether he was quoting me a 15 year or a 30 year loan. Isn't that a basic info you give to your customers unless you're trying to pull a fast one on them? I tried to explain to him via email that it's not that I don't wanna call him but I work night shifts so I could not get around to calling him yet but would he let me know the current loan terms before we spoke? I called them at the recommendation of a co-worker, as I wanted to look into refinancing my house and didn't want to spend any money. Within 15 minutes, the loan agent was able to do a comp search of surrounding properties and deemed my place eligible for a no fee loan. This place is highly organized and moves quickly. Within two days of my call, I had the appraiser out to the house and within 9 days I was signing papers, and it funded 4 business days later. Within one week, after funding I received the escrow pad check. The rate I got was more than half a point lower than the Big Bank (WF) and a quarter point lower than an independent broker (referred from a friend). If I had questions, I could call the loan agent's cell phone or the jr loan agent phone. I never waited more than 10 minutes for a response. I highly recommend this company. read more

Mark Prieto (#2093248) answered my call and tells me he can cut my payment in half with no closing costs and no points. They were advertising 1.99% @ 15 yrs with no closing costs and no points. Before I fill out an application he asks me what my credit score is and I tell him 800+ and tells me he doesn't believe me. Should've ended everything there. Filled out an application after he quotes me a payment of less than $500 per month. Asked him 3x if this was absolute and he says yes. The next day he calls me asking for $4100 down to buy down the rate from 4.00% to 3.25% but can't explain what the down is for. Aren't you the expert Mark? You're the professional so act like it. These guys are classic bait and switch. Told this fella Mark to cancel everything and he still sends me an application to my residence. This guy is more interested in his commission than helping me lower my monthly payments. Thanks for wasting my time Mark. You have no integrity. You're a glorified order taker! read more

I would like to relate to you my cash call experience that just completed yesterday. I applied for a refinance loan with my credit union who I have done business with the last 12 years. My loan I would consider is extremely easy and clean. I have great and all of my documents. After getting messed around with them and telling me I was approved we just had to go through the process I was a day 16 and told it would be taking approximately another 20 days. They told me my loan was going extremely fast because I had everything in order. I have to say I was very irritated and I was driving home and heard a Cash Call commercial for the refi no cost mortgage loans. When I got home I gave them a call. I spoke with Steven Floyd 949 535-9681 at their Orange office. He was extremely helpful listen to all my information told me that they would be able to do my loan in about 15 days. By the end of the phone call I was preapproved and they lock in my rate. This was a Friday night at 5:30 PM he told me someone would be getting in contact with me on Monday. Within 15 minutes I had entire set of docs emailed to me and I was able to do online sign to be able to open the loan process. On Monday just like clock work I received an email from Monique Sanchez she was assigned to be my loan processor. In her welcome email to me she let me know there were two pieces of data that she needed and if I could email them to her she would be able to continue with the process. She had me in contact with the appraisal company within 24 hours and an appraiser was at my home within two days following that. Monique is a woman of few words her emails were always directly to the point short and precise. She never asked for one unnecessary piece of information and never asked me to resubmit something twice. She always responded to emails within 24 hours many cases with in hours. I would get emails from her time stamped at 10:30 at night to one in the morning. This woman was diligent and she knows her stuff. Whenever I asked her question she would respond promptly with a truthful answer. She was AMAZING. The appraisal company that they used was very polite and efficient. They showed up exactly on time and when they said they would. The same held true for the notary that they sent to our home. He had excellent communication with us. He was at our home 10 minutes before the appointed time and extremely professional through the entire process. My loan funded in 13 days that include a holiday in between there. It recorded on the 14th day and my process was completely finished. I can't say enough amazing things about this company. I forgot to add one extremely important thing my loan at the credit Union was going to cost me $4800. My loan with cash call cost me zero for the exact same rate I would highly recommend giving Steven a call if you are looking for a loan. I'm not sure of their process but if you can request Monique to be your loan processor you will fly through the process. Now remember you have a part to play in this too. I had all my documents ready and whenever they ask for something I had it emailed back to them within hours I didn't make them chase me or play email tag. They are a tremendous company that works extremely efficiently. I was talking to a friend who told me that after October 8 the Feds are putting some new guidelines in place that might slow the loan process down a little bit. They want to allow people more time to review documents etc. so if after this date your loan takes a little bit longer it may be the fault of the feds and not cash call If you want to get a no hassle fast loan give them a call. My loan was to have funded per the loan people on several different dates and now no one is returning phone calls or emails. Decided on these folks for a refi. Signed all the paperwork over a month ago and am having the same experience as others here. The put a recent hold on funding their loans long after all my paperwork was complete and did not notify anyone, so payments with my existing lender are now delinquent. No one will speak to you and email responses are canned responses. My credit report can now be affected and now I have to make a double payment after I was promised those payments were "covered". Horrible service and communication given the level of these transactions. Beyond disappointed with the lack of accountability. Inexcusable. read more

Based on some reviews I saw here, on October 11th I submitted my loan application. Today, October 24th, my load funded. That's 13 days from the day I started the whole process. No points, fees, or hidden cost. A rate that was better than what I expected. I have been through a purchase and two previous refinances and this has been BY FAR the easiest and painless process. And my situation wasn't easy (due to high DTI and Cash Out); I almost never tried because I was so sure it would not get approved let alone finish in under two weeks time. This review is for a mortgage refinance initiated 2 months ago. Pros: -- Competitive rates -- Locks in rates -- No closing costs -- Quick quotes and review in the *beginning of the process Cons: -- After we received approval and we thought we just needed to sign to close, something came up. Our loan officer contacted did some research. We offered to help with research to resolve any confusion, since our loan officer had said she'd "exhausted all of her resources" and she had "40 other files to review; unless we could find [what she needed], nothing else she could do." So we offered to help, did our own research, found and gave her the information she needed. Then we got a vague update that our file went to the Credit Policy Manager. We kept asking what that meant, if there was still an issue, and the likelihood of getting a final approval. We had to keep following up, and when we got updates, they were vague, such as the manager just came back from convention; that end of the month was too busy, other files to close. -- More than a month had elapsed since the projected closing date, we finally got a clear update that our application was denied. -- Halfway or so through the process, a couple of phone meetings that we asked our loan officer to make, but we had to initiate because we didn't get a call or a call back. One of them I had to leave a couple of voice messages and emails as reminders. When I heard back, family was the reason, so we tried to be understanding. A friend advised that maybe we should find another lender because the excuses seemed unprofessional and suffice to cause a red flag. -- We had to wait, led on with vague updates that the file was under review, whatever that meant, it was never clear enough​ for us to do anything other than wait and follow up. After weeks of going back and forth for updates, mortgage rates had risen, we felt stuck since we thought this lender had already locked in 3.99% for us 2 months ago for a 15-year fixed mortgage. --- We could have refinanced or at least locked in a similar​ rate with a lender whose broker had pre-reviewed our file before telling us we were approved, whose process was more transparent. Other info: -- If it weren't for our friends who referred us, we wouldn't​ have considered this lender. The service at CCM, on the other hand has been awful. I'm now 57 days into my final refi with these guys. The biggest bunch of incompetent scammers ever. Stay far far away from these band of idiots. I started my application in May after one of their "reps" duped me by telling me he could place my loan at a better rate than the hard money lender I was working with. The next 2 months were torturous. The original rep, Joe Tejada was fired or demoted... can't get a straight answer. The next rep on my case just never called me back. After contacting Paul Bae, the manager, I was put to someone else who attempted to complete the process but inevitably was handed back to Paul Bae. So during 3 months of back and forth, I lost the original loan because this supposed loan was in process. Now, the firm refuses to give me back my documentation, including sensitive dox like tax returns and bank statements. I am going to hire an attorney next week and file. (Unless you don't mind your closing date indefinitely extended) Friday: all paperwork was signed and we were assured funding would take place Monday morning Monday: Funding didn't occur due to problems with the insurance. Fine, stuff happens, so they get an extra day. Tuesday: Funding didn't occur - no reason given Wednesday: Funding didn't occur - no reason given Thursday: Funding didn't occur, no reason given. After calling a manger, I finally got a call from the processor, who gave no reason for the delay. Friday: Last day before the sale would be rescinded due to lack of funding. Funding finally took place, but after a lot of pressure was applied by all parties. Who knows how long it would have taken otherwise. We literally went down to the last day before the sale would be cancelled. My realtor, who has 25 years experience in the industry, said this is the most unprofessional lender he has ever seen. I saw a CashCall ad either on TV or online. In researching the company, I stumbled across these Yelp reviews for the Orange, CA office. Minh Nguyen was specifically recommended by at least two other reviewers and given 5-stars. So I contacted him directly. (949-535-9636 Minh.nguyen@cashcallmortgage.com) I've been trying to get loans for years. I continue to be "punished" by banks and mortgage companies for getting whacked during the recession. I have very good credit and everything about my situation screams "low-risk customer." They would tell me they could do it, I would give them a ton of personal financial information, just to be turned down for the very thing I disclosed to them before I handed over a single piece of paper. Minh listened to my situation and told me about a new loan program that was specifically for people like me called an investor's loan. No cost to me to do two cash-out refi's. Not a penny. (That said, expect to pay a higher rate for this kind of loan.) We ran into a couple of snags. In part because it's a new loan program that the loan processor was not familiar with.
