Great service, and fast, too! I was delighted with the service provided by Mortgage Specialist Michael Tang (mtang@intelliloan.com). I expected my situation to be a challenge: I had several months before attempted a re-fi with another provider; in that case it went on for about 3 months as they kept asking for more and more documentation, sometimes with some new participant in the process asking for things I'd already documented to someone else, and the fees were steep, too. It went so poorly and was looking like it was going to be so expensive that I had to call it off. a couple months later I got a mail solicitation from Intelliloan promising great rates, like all the mail solicitations do. But I figured maybe I'd just give them a call to assure myself that it really wasn't a possibility. I explained my situation to Mike, thinking it would probably make things difficult. My previous attempt was done just before I left my employer of 19 years to start my own business. I figured I'd better lock in a re-fi before I lost the employment status, but as I've said that foundered. So with Mike, I was in the position of having just begun a new business, with only 2 paychecks issued to myself to date. My wife is a 1099 self-employed salesperson, with 3 years at her employer. Our house is not under water, but our loan to value ratio is quite high. When Mike first ran the numbers, there wasn't an obvious solution, and he was straightforward about it. I was focused on a 30 year fixed loan, and the only possibility that could save me any was a 5 year ARM, so I figured I had hit another dead end. A few weeks later, the Federal Reserve took some actions that pushed mortgage rates even lower, and Mike gave me a call to let me know that a 30 year FHA streamline at 3.5% was now do-able. This could not have been easier. I have owned my home for a few years now, and I have put off refinancing because it was such a hassle to get the loan in the first place. Not this time however. I heard a radio ad with the President of the company stating they had a new way of doing things (I usually ignore these types of ads, as they usually what is advertised is not available) so I thought I would give it a try. On my first call all of my question were answered, and they quoted me a really low rate. I said I would think about it and shop a little, and the representative suggest I should, and he sent me a short list of items he needed should I decided to move forward. That was refreshing, no high pressure sale. I made a couple of calls to the tarp bailed out banks and found that my tax dollars had gone to banks that were much less competitive then Intelliloan. When I called back the next day to tell them I was ready to proceed, my mortgage specialist voluntarily informed me that rates had dropped and I was eligible an even lower rate than I was quoted the day before. I decided to move forward. I was given a target closing date of 3 weeks, which I thought was not possible, and then Intelliloan surprised me by closing 4 days ahead of schedule. I got the exact rate I was promised, but the fees were $28 less than I was originally quoted. This was a great experience, but what I was most impressed about is when it came time to close, I had a question and the Notary was not able to answer it, so we called the company, and I actually spoke to the President, Darryl C Preedge himself. I have recently completed a cash-out refinance with Intelliloan of Costa Mesa. I started with multiple lenders in an effort to get the best rate. I heard an ad on the radio announcing refis as low as 3.25%. I was sceptical because I've tried to consolidate once before with my banking institution, and they said my loan to value was to high. In other words , no they could not assist me. I called and reach Kemo Smith at Intelliloan. We talked at length, and was able to resolve my request of consolidating a first, and a line of equity loan into 1 lower interest new loan. I saw their ad on TV and called for information on a refinance. I spoke with a very polite and knowledgeable loan rep. When I first called I was initially skeptical that I would not get their advertised low rate at no costs that was lower than my bank and other lenders, however, after providing some preliminary information over the phone on my transaction I was told I was eligible for the advertised low rate @ no cost. The loan representative introduced me to his team and I was guided through the process professionally. I was provided a list of the detailed information that was needed and a timeline for the loan closing. The actual process was very modern and straightforward. I uploaded my information onto a secure on-line portal. I was able to track as the information was received and confirmed. The transaction was done entirely on-line via Docusign with the exception of signing the closing documents which happened in person with a notary. The loan closed within 30 days - on time, at the agreed upon rate and at no cost. I recently refinanced my home through IntelliLoan after receiving their mailing with a very low interest rate. Having refinanced twice with Quicken in the past 3 years (which also was the current servicer of my loan), I initially approached Quicken to see whether they could match the interest rate. I refinance my loan with Daniel from Intelliloan. The process was smooth and was online which I preferred. I got my loan refinanced in 2 to 3 weeks. Being online made it much easier then my last refinance with another company where I had to come in during my lunch hour. If you are busy it is worth it.bThe electronic signatures are much better. I spent 4 months contacting and researching companies. The most important thing for me was a low rate and decent reviews for a company. I believe the rate is close to the best I could get. I got 2% with about a 2.38% APR at the week of July. APR is what I looked at. I had a competitor who tried to do better or match by going to his VP. He could not and told me I got a great rate and should take it. I saw few companies that offered lower rates a few weeks after I refinanced (2.1 APR with one and 1.875% with another), but I am not sure if they are actually rates since one of my coworkers contacted them and decided to go with Intelliloan in August. We refinanced with them last month. Both representatives we worked with were professional and understanding. We have refinanced a couple of times before but this experience was by far the best. Everything was handled online as far as submitting your documents. The representatives were very responsive to our questions. The fact that there were no points or fees was definitely a plus. We had locked in at a higher rate and few days before we were to sign the rates dropped! Having done multiple loans in the past with my bank. I had moved to a commercial bank that didn't do home loans. I kept hearing Intelliloan on the radio and figured they must be OK (so many years) My only compliant was that they sent me digital disclosures that seemed "clunky" After this everything went great. The loan closed on the day to the penny they quoted. I am a engineer AND READ EVERYTHING. I believe the rate I got was better than my previous bank offered but with better service. I think they are trying to become a sort of Progressive Insurance of home loans by showing and comparing themselves to the rates from other larger lenders. I would rate 4.5. Not a 4 but not a 5. Yelp doesn't let you do 4.5. Make the disclosures easier to understand (not so many pages) and I raise to a 5. Because I have bought and refinanced houses quite a few times, I know the amount of paperwork that is expected, which can perhaps be intimidating to some people. Intelliloan made it easy by letting me send all the documentation they requested electronically, i.e. pictures of documents I took with my mobile phone or downloaded PDFs from websites that provided them. From my perspective, the amount of documentation requested was not excessive. They also worked with me on resolving a rather sticky item on my side during the whole process. I wrote a review about my experience with Inteliloan which was less than flattering and it got removed after they petitioned the review (truth hurts business when its less than flattering I suppose). I firmly believe the removal from Yelp which was a real disservice to those who could have benefitted from the information. However . . . I thought I put the painful experience behind me when my home FINALLY got refinanced after a long and PAINFUL process. But surprise, surprise, over a year later they I keep finding hard inquiries on my credit score bringing my FICO score down as if I keep trying to qualify for a new home loan (which I'm not); but that doesn't stop all the junk mail from Inteliloan telling me rates are low and I should refinance again.
