It was our first spot and they did not disappoint. We weren't planned to get a dozen but we did and share some with our friends. Their cupcakes are super moist, not too sweet, and just delicious. At first I thought it would be heavy because of how much frosting is it. But to our surprise it wasn't and just perfect sweetness. Got banana pudding, strawberry & cream, Tre leche, pumpkin pie, banana cookie butter, and carrot cakes. Our favorite would be strawberry & cream, banana pudding, and carrot cake. That's one of the best carrot cake for sure. Customer services was great and great recommendation. I got to meet the owner for a little bit and she's so sweet too. Definitely will have to come back when we are in town again.

The entire reason why I put in a special order was because I was told one of the flavors I wanted would be changed out on the day I needed to pick up the cupcakes and I wanted the cupcakes to be fresh. I was assured that the bakers that day would see the order and make the cupcake flavor special for my order. Lo and behold, I walk in to collect my order on time and I'm told they dont have my order ready AND they dont have the specific flavor I requested! The person helping me looked at my order and it was the first time she had ever set eyes on it. I had already pre paid for the order at this point and did not have another option so I was SOL. Instead they gave me an old cupcake in the requested flavor that they had stored in a fridge for who knows how long and filled out the rest of the order with what was in the display. So I basically paid full price for old cake. This was my first experience with this bakery and if this is how they treat something as basic as a simple small cupcake order, how am I to trust them to handle anything more complex like a custom cake or a wedding order? No thanks.

I've never had this happen with a coffee shop cup before. The cup was clearly not secure enough to prevent leaking, and it made a huge mess. Please consider using better-quality cups and lids because this is a pretty frustrating experience, especially when you're taking coffee to go. I hope the shop addresses this because a simple cup should at least be able to make a 30min drive without leaking everywhere.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment following a recent visit to Casey's Cupcakes. As a longtime patron and someone who has always held your establishment in high regard, I was particularly excited yesterday to share the experience with a close friend visiting from Manhattan Beach. She and I had planned to enjoy the new weekly flavor of cupcakes, a treat we were both very much looking forward to. However, our experience was marred by the unprofessional conduct of the staff member working behind the counter. Throughout our visit, she was lip-smacking and appeared to be eating something from a ramekin dish -- which I found to be absolutely foul. She did not wash her hands before handling our cupcakes, despite wearing gloves, and proceeded to put her finger inside the ramekin. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially in a high-end establishment that I have trusted and admired for years. When we inquired about the vegan and gluten-free options, she responded that she "doesn't know anything about it" and merely "sells them." This level of knowledge and professionalism is concerning, particularly given the reputation Casey's Cupcakes has built over the years. This experience was quite disappointing, as I hold Casey's in high regard -- having visited regularly since working nearby in 2010 and celebrating special occasions at your spa with my friends every January. I sincerely hope this incident is addressed, as it does not reflect the standards I have come to associate with your brand. Thank you for your attention to this matter. read more

A year or two ago, Casey's Cupcakes were some of the best cupcakes I'd ever had. They were expensive, sure, but they were worth it. They were HUGE cupcakes, packaged in cute little boxes. They were a real treat. Not an every day thing, but something you rewarded yourself with once every few months. Then they won Cupcake Wars and something happened. The cupcakes got smaller and the quality got worse. Much worse. Cupcakes I used to love and mouthgasm over were not moving me anymore. They were just blah. Not even good, sometimes. They're less tasty than many you can make yourself from a box mix. I don't know how this happened, but over the last few months, I've continued to give Casey's Cupcakes a try, buying monthly specials and old favorites, and getting disappoint every time. This month, March 2012, they have a mint and chocolate cupcake. I decide if you can screw up mint cupcakes, it was my final straw. The cupcake was extremely blah. It also had a weird chemical taste to it that left a bitter aftertaste. I'm really disappointed because I want to support this store. It's no longer worth it. Save your money and or across the street to Simple Simon's. They don't have cupcakes, and they don't have Casey's generous hours, but their home made sweets are much better. At first glimpse Casey's little shop is a female fantasy. Pink everything, little flickering candles, nostalgic candy lining the walls, cutesy jewelry and trinkets for purchase, and picture-perfect looking confections. But if you look a little closer you see the conceited nature of the Roberts/Reinhardt family oozing out of the cracks. I respect family owned businesses and their right to pay homage to their beloved family members, but this is just ridiculous. The pictures of Casey cooking and baking in stilettos is laughable. Like I actually think she comes in every day and bakes? Who are they trying to appeal to? The cupcakes have been hit or miss for me. So far the Raspberry featured flavor has been the best, fluffy and moist. The lemon was so-so. The red velvet was awful, dry and with almost no flavor. My best friend said the strawberry was delicious. Yet, at 7 bucks for one cupcake and a glass of milk, I may not attempt to try any more. I applaud the creativeness and having the confidence to bring a LA trend to the IE, but we shall see if it even succeeds. read more

omfg...never again will i EVER go back to this place in this lifetime. i had better expectations of this puked out pink store. afterall, it's at mission inn. step-daddy made a BAD choice in giving this wanna-be barbie a store. i can't believe she has pictures of herself all over the website and store. gag me with a spoon! all i have to say is that the cupcakes were soooo disgusting. i can't believe my friends and i paid that much for a cupcake that was suuuuper dry (cake part) and the frosting was overly sweet. i agree with the other reviews on this page that the cake tastes like it's out of the box. i'm pretty sure the hotel does bake the crappy cupcakes for her because i'm pretty positive she doesn't bake and that her little bio is all a fake. save your money people and go elsewhere. you'll thank me for it. hey...wasn't this the blond on laguna beach with the horrible vaneer work who everyone hated? i can't believe it!!!! step daddy should pay to get her horse teeth fixed instead of giving her a store. read more

These are honestly the worst cupcakes I have ever had. I went to Casey's Cupcakes last December and had the gingerbread cupcake, my friend had the red velvet one. They were both horrible. The icing was extremely sweet and grainy. The cupcake bread was dense, oily and dry. The girls at the counter were rude too, they gave us attitude because we asked if they used milk to make their hot chocolate so that we could ask them to use fat-free or low-fat milk. They looked at us like we were aliens for asking and answered our question with an attitude. It turns out that they do not use milk, they use hot water and cheap tasting cocoa powder. The cupcakes were pricey and they don't even offer good quality hot chocolate or coffee to wash the nasty cupcake taste out of your mouth. I wanted my money back the second I took a bite out of that disgusting cupcake. I thought it was just mine, but my friend's cupcake was disgusting too. This place is the worst. read more

OMG THE CUPCAKES ARE AMAZINGGGGG!!!!! My boyfriend and I went into Casey's Cupcakes while staying at the Mission Inn for the weekend and we were hooked! We took a box of 6 up to our room and tasted every single one. They were so good that we decided to go back down and get another box of 6. We were celebrating our anniversary so we decided to indulge! Before we left to go home on Sunday we got another box to go... I know... we are obsessed. My absolute favorite was the dark chocolate! OMGGGG SOOOOO Yummy! It has little chunks of chocolate in the cake and its so moist... I'm craving it as we speak. Seriously every single cupcake was soooo delicious and amazing! My boyfriend loved the raspberry and strawberry. The hot chocolate and coffee were so so so delicious as well. The service was outstanding and the employees made us feel so special. I am beyond impressed by Casey's Cupcakes and I highly highly recommend it! I will for sure go back! read more

Hands down the worst cupcake I've ever had (and I didn't think that was possible.) I have a major sweet tooth and love pretty much anything that has sugar in it, but these cupcakes were the worst. Ignorantly I ordered two, the strawberry and the raspberry razzmatazz. Honestly, both cupcakes tasted exactly the same! Neither had any of the flavors they were listed as. I could have gotten more flavor if I ate the box! If you want cardboard covered with waxy paste, head on over to Casey's! This place is giving Cupcake Wars a bad name... if she won, then the show is rigged. Now if you want to spend $3.50 on a good cupcake, I suggest you make a trip to murrieta, Ca. and try The Cupcake Cottage... the cupcakes are twice the size of Casey's and the same price, oh yeah, and they have flavor! read more

Awful Awful Awful. We paid $3.50 for 10 cents worth of weird gooey sticky stuff that actually had no taste whatsoever and a ghastly texture. I'd hate to think what was in it, since it resembled rubber cement and had some weird stringy things running through it. This was the gluten free red velvet - but come on, just call it disgusting and don't try to give red velvet such a bad name. On top of that , literally on top, was a frosting that, amazingly, also had absolutely no flavor. I can't tell you what it was because it was unidentifiable. It's hard to imagine how you could take ingredients for baking and render them so wholly inedible. Our friends bought two regular ones but I've resisted the temptation to find out how they were. I was very disappointed in the cupcakes here. I got a strawberry flavored one. Yuck! I could have went into any store and bought a 12 pack of this same flavorless cupcake for the same price. It was waxy frosting that had no flavor, the cake had no flavor just dyed pink. I was highly disappointed in this cupcake shop. My sister bought another two and they tasted exactly the same even though they were different flavors. I didn't think you could make bad cupcakes but this shop has proved me wrong. The decor was cute though and the little box the cake came in but that was all you were paying for. I am going to stick to "The Cupcake Cottage" I go to in Murrieta off of Los Alamo. Now they know what flavor is it is twice the size and way more flavor for the same price. read more

Unfortunately, Casey's has gone from fabulous to forgettable! I have bought many cupcakes here since they have been open. Also have ordered cakes, but that ended when our last ones frosting all slid off before we could present it. 1. the size has gotten smaller since opening, but prices have gone up. 2. not sure if they still have a stamp card, but you get 1 stamp per visit or at least you get 1 stamp even if you buy a 6 pack, and we usually buy a 6 pack. At that rate, I would pay hundreds of dollars for that 1 free cupcake...bottom line pointless. 3. The staff went from being cute, happy, ready to help to angry, bitter young ladies who seem to hate their job! Used to drive 30 minutes or so to get Casy's, but just not worth it anymore :( read more

Caseys cupcakes is just like the owner Casey, lacking any substance and all for show. The place is decorated cute but their cupcakes are dense, way too sweet & you can tell they aren't same day fresh. They should focus on their actual products as much as they do their decor. I guess I shouldn't have expected so much from this place as Casey Brown herself is fake! She's all for likes and appearances but lacks any moral compass. She claims to be big on charity including for children's hospital but doesn't donate to them, hmmmmm, god forbid her own children ever get sick I suppose. She should close shop and become a OC housewife and push products on instagram like flat tea, she'd be better at that. read more

So... I finished my cupcakes and have to say... Delicious. I also had some issues with a mug being broken. I had it bagged for me and got home and it was cracked under a lid. Here is my interaction! Really positive. Sassy Strawberry: best to me when I had it cold. The frosting is SO light and perfectly sweet. It wasn't to over powering. Favorite by far! Cinnamon sugar: if you love the flavor that's what you'll get. Absolutely great for a fall / more of a non sweets person. Confetti cupcake: Funfetti type with ultra sweet frosting sprinkles and glitter with a cherry! I have to take slices from it. Pretty sweet. I have been here three different times to give them a honest shot. My husband and I go on bike rides in downtown every so often, and when we do not stop to have a glass of wine or we indulge in our sweet tooth. Having given them a fair try on three different occasions I can honestly say the cupcakes are not all that. To much frosting, really dry cake, and the flavors I think are not all there. I am also an avid watcher of the Food Network, and do not understand how these cupcakes won?! I am sorry to say it but just because you won on a TV show does not legitimize the taste and quality of your product. read more

I went to Casey's because I was curious about all of the mixed reviews plus I wanted to see if Casey was working. When I went there, she was not in and her staff did not seem to know what they were selling. I bought a red velvet cupcake and it was super dry and the frosting was too sweet. I think that the best cupcakes in riverside is still Creme de la Creme Bakery on Van Buren. Their cupcakes start at less than a dollar and they melt in your mouth. They have other stuff as well if you are not in the mood for cupcakes like New York Bagels (from New York) and the most buttery croissants in the world. read more

Disappointing. I waited 15 minutes for the one person in front of me to get hot chocolate because the machine wasn't working. They only had a few flavors left by 4:30. The cupcake, although decorated super cute, was very average. Sadly, the frosting was below average with zero flavor. The chocolate flakes on the side were also oddly lacking in flavor. I also got a vanilla and a salted caramel macaron. The flavoring seemed the same for each. To top it off, the clerk put my two little items into a bag and then proceeded to charge me .35 cents for the bag without telling me. I didn't even need it. read more

UUUugggghhhhh ;(. How did these cupcakes with Cupacake Wars? Got a dozen for my b-day. Most of the cakes were cry, the decroations were just a load of blopped on icing with a chocolate disc with the logo on it. The disc was the best part. Too homeade looking for the look of the actual store! Way too sweet, and paste tasting icing. If these are truly grandmas recipes then...maybe they should buy new ones. Sometimes Nostalgia plays a role in the way we remember things tasted. Just because they are at the Mission Inn doesn't make em taste good. read more

Being a cupcake lover, I have to say, Casey, in my heart, sets the standard for all cupcakeries within the Inland Empire. With the knowledge that she has, she is not fearful of taking on the rest of the culinary community. She is actually one of my inspirations, till today, regarding cupcakes and the restaurant industry. (I could go on all day as to how and why she'll go far but what use would it be if the greater majority didn't appreciate what she has to offer) I'll just say this. I forgot to write a review for this absolutely pink concoction of a little bakery. The decor to me was like I was in a little CANDYLAND fantasy world. Absolutely adorable! I kind of felt like skipping around in my LOUBITONS! We actually picked up cupcakes for our grandmother and personally I did not eat any. Wow! Their cupcakes were amazing. I ordered the red velvet w/cream cheese frosting and a 24 carrot gold flakes carmel drizzled decadent cupcake stuffed with a snickers candy bar. Both cakes were incredible moist, fresh and delicious. Staff was up-beat and friendly and the interior of the store was cute and trendy. I had my 1st Insomnia cookie at the OG brick and mortar location in Syracuse, NY 10+ yrs ago! It was great then, catering mostly to college students and their late night cookie cravings. Then I tried them when they had a store out in LA, and finally Riverside! I love it! It's just too bad that they're so expensive now. Nearly $10 for a 2 scoop ice cream and cookie. A deluxe cookie I think is around $6. But they serve them perfectly how I like cookies, soft, a tad crunchy and ooey gooey with whatever filling or chocolate. The salted caramel is one of my favs! This is one chain of businesses I really do like. Crumbl doesn't even compare (they all taste the same bleh).

Okay, I finally tried Uncle Fluffy and now I understand the hype…read more I only got a chance to try the Original Japanese Cheesecake, but it was SO good. Super light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, which makes it dangerously easy to keep eating. Pairing it with their cold brew was honestly the move--the coffee and cheesecake together were . The location itself is pretty small, so in my opinion this is more of a grab-your-cheesecake-and-go kind of spot rather than somewhere you're going to hang out for a while. The parking lot can also get pretty busy, so just keep that in mind. Definitely coming back because now I need to try some of the other flavors. If the Original was this good, I have some research to do.

We definitly do not have anything like this in the IE. It is on the pricier side but it is good and light and "fluffy". Everyone was super nice as well.

Price: seemed a little cheaper than our regular donut shop at $9.75 for half a dozen. I liked that they did not charge a fee for using credit card if over $5, unlike another place.

I don't usually write…read morereviews for good coworkers bring (or even touch donuts that have been sitting on the table for a while) but they must've been good. By the time I went to look most of them were gone except one donut and a couple donut bites. I took a jelly filled donut and it was the best donut I've had in a long time.
