Looking forward to our return trip this year to Killington. First stop... Casey's Caboose, it never disappoints. The food is excellent, the mac n cheese is to die for! not surprising its won awards, and the service is always amazing. A really great atmosphere, the bar is a great place to have a pre dinner drink the bartender and all staff are really friendly. Such a cozy and welcoming place. We came on St Patrick's Sunday and were greeted with a special menu (my husband tells me the Guiness stew was delicious). Our 7 yo spied the little eagle's nest seats in the caboose and the owner was gracious enough to reseat us there, even though the place was starting to fill up. Kid's chicken meal was gobbled up, and the ice cream was declared best she's ever had. I have a bunch of dietary restrictions that mean I eat many plain hamburgers, and this was hands-down one of the best I've ever had. Everyone focuses on Casey's burgers and their fish and chips, and they are as good as the reviews say. Problem is they are so good and the portions so large that no one ever makes it to dessert. Stopped in for appetizers, skipped the "main" offerings, and went straight to dessert. Awesome! The strawberry/rhubarb pie was as good or better than anything you will find in a bakery. The apple crisp got rave reviews from my dining companion. Both came ala mode and with a serious helping of real whipped cream. It's worth just stopping in for coffee and a dessert. read more

We went to dinner tont for my sons 19th bday and I had the worst experience!! Not only did we wait a hr for our food when it wasn't busy but I asked for a filet mignon with lobster and my steak was sent bck twice !! I asked for med and it was raw twice the third time it was well done and tough as if it were microwaved! And my lobster was cold as well as the potato as veg!!! $50 meal was crap ! Wasn't happy at all. I've been a cook for 17 yrs online and never seen such a poor effort in wht they produced to me tont ! So disappointed . The server barely checked on us , very slow !! Wonderful restaurant with a fun vibe! The train theme is a delight and the food is creative! We had the Gobble Turkey Burger, The Rueben, and the Guiness stew. After a great round of golf we visited Casey's and we had our minds blown! Their wings were some of the best I've ever had! The Lasagna that was on the menu this night was the closet thing to home cooking I've had. Two of my other friends got the same dish and we were speechless at how good the meal was! Went there for dinner only to find out they closed the kitchen an hour and a half early. The fast track to annoy customers. This is a new owner to a restaurant that has been closed for years. I will not go back. The 50.00 they saved closing the kitchen early cost them 150.00 in revenue the Garlic was happy to take. 3 weeks later - Modifying review. My girlfriend made attempt to go again. Chili was delicious and my burger was very tasty. The food is pretty good overall. Place is missing music or something though. Or maybe the lights are on to bright. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with waiter Jimmy. Tasty pretzels to start that came super quick because Jimmy places the order immediately on his tablet. Burgers and Mac and cheese yummy as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant was clean. We had steaks and both were cooked perfectly to order. The salads, soup and bread were excellent. I live in the area and have never stopped in. Went for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The wait staff was helpful and pleasant. Loved the onion rings and siracha dipping sauce. Was so full with the appetizers that my burger went home with me. read more

Visited during fall '21. Despite resource shortage everywhere the service was good and food enjoyable.

We came in around 7pm and simply wanted some good burgers as we weren't in the mood to spend a bunch of money. Ordered some Gin & Tonics which were really good. We then ordered some of the house burgers. They were all excellent plus more than enough food between the toppings and fries. W'll be sure to come back here again n our next trip to Killington! read more

we were there with 6 people at a high top on Saturday night 1/8/22 and we had Noah as our waiter. He was amazing! Polite and funny and so helpful! They were short staffed like everyone else, but you wouldn't know it with Noah and Emily behind the bar. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone near or far! read more

I went to Casey's Caboose the other night w/ 2 of my friends. We had some awesome Calamari for an appetizer, followed by some of the best Prime Rib I've ever had. I had a side of mac and cheese w/ dinner and that was really good too! Both the manager, John and our server, who we referred to as "Kreskin" were welcoming and very good. I was pleasantly surprised by how big and inventive the menu was! Tons of unique burgers to choose from as well as pick-your-own. The beer, cider, and cocktail menu was huge and I have never see a gin-and-tonic tasting flight before- what a great idea! The drink menu was only available on mobile which made it hard to really appreciate and compare the different options, like the huge variety of gins. There's another caboose-themed restaurant down the road a ways but in comparing menu offerings this one stands way above the other. read more

When we entered we were ignored by the absent hostess for about ten minutes and then grudgingly she told us it was a forty minute wait and walked away. We attempted to sit at the crowded bar area where things just got worse and were ignored. Another staffer told some patron to get the fuck out of the way. So we decided our business would be better off elsewhere. They may have 21 beers on tap but the customer service is non existent. read more

The food itself was not completely disgusting, however the service left me with no appetite. Our waiter, "Dan", was extremely disrespectful and complained when we were not ready to order in his time. The back handed comments were extremely uncalled for. The manager even came over when we asked if the plates that were piled on the table from both the appetizers and entrees could be cleared since we were being served dessert. She replied by asking if I wanted a job as the bus boy, and after the disrespect comment, she served frozen dessert. Overall, Dan had a comment to made about anything that was asked for or said. We were a large party who received a bill of $700, but no hospitality or even respect from the servers. I highly suggest steering away from this place, the empty parking lot should have been a hint from the start. It is safe to say I will never be returning here. read more

NEVER EVER COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH NASTY, smelly SERVERS and 0 service. my waiter made a lot of back handed comments and complained about everything we ordered. We also got dessert uncooked and COLD apple pie. Also there is no bus boy and the leave dirty plates on your table. So if your looking to deal with backhanded comments, uncooked food, a place with no service, and overall a bad experience this is your place to be. Good for kids/families, kind of noisy with television, music, and the little train going around the track. Cute wooden tables and lighting (green and red). Liked the mac and cheese, burgers were also good. Estimated wait time was 30 minutes, ended up being much longer. Had a nice conversation with the staff about skiing conditions though. read more

Spent the evening talking to the owner John what a nice guy couldn't do enough. Jim behind the bar was awesome too, again couldn't do enough real nice guy. We had an awesome time. $5 beers and that includes local Vermont microbrews, can't go wrong. We had burgers that were outstanding.
