We changed the order. Then the group next us - who came in 20 minutes after us and ordered after us all got served their pizzas(including a few potato pizzas). While we waited and was not served. Finally realizing that our diverse group of 5 was being shafted for the very non-diverse group of 8 we asked for our pizzas to go and we left. So if the intention of Il Lazzarone was to make us feel sidelined and "othered" - congratulations. Job well done. Because we left there being reminded of just how how bigotry feels. The chef came out and asked if I'd like to have the cinnamon roll heated up, she said, "trust me", and she was right. We were going to take these items to go and eat at a park because we had the dog but we couldn't even make it to the car. The cinnamon roll was calling me - it was absolutely divine and the breakfast burrito was cheesy, stuffed with potatoes, and really hit the spot.
