AMAZING! If I could give Whitmer Decks six (or more) stars, I wouldn't hesitate…read more Cliff Whitmer and his entire crew--Sam, Mike, Pavlo, Wade, and Keen--truly knocked it out of the park from start to finish. From our very first meeting with Cliff (the company owner!) to the final walk-through with Sam, the project manager, the experience was exceptional every step of the way. The communication throughout the entire process was outstanding. Not once did we feel anything less than a top priority. Texts were answered within an hour, and emails were always returned within hours. That level of responsiveness gave us complete confidence and peace of mind. Mike, Pavlo, and Wade were the primary builders, and they were phenomenal. They treated us like rock stars during the entire three-and-a-half-week build. Mike, the lead carpenter, took the time to explain every phase of the project in detail, which my wife and I truly appreciated. Whitmer Decks removed our old deck and built a beautiful new 14x12 screened porch, along with a 10x10 deck and staircase. I'm no professional photographer, but the results speak for themselves--we are absolutely thrilled. We can't wait for warmer weather so we can fully enjoy our stunning new space. The craftsmanship is simply incredible. These guys are true artists. Every time we look at the work Whitmer Decks completed, we're blown away all over again. Thank you to Cliff, Sam, Mike, Pavlo, Wade, Keen--and Spark Roofing as well. You are all amazing, and we will not hesitate to give our highest recommendation to anyone who asks. I want to mention that their estimate/upgrade process was incredibly easy and actually fun to work with! Each upgrade came with about 5-10 photos that were VERY helpful in envisioning what the final product would actually look like! With gratitude, Shawn Purcell

Complete waste of my time. To set up the appointment for a quote, I shared I wanted to replace my…read morewood decks with composite and screen in the lower deck. It was very clear. Spent an hour at my house discussing and taking measurements. Waited nearly two weeks for the quote and get a call they don't "replace" and confirmed they said they only do new construction per the "manager". Missed HOA deadline for May due to waiting on this final quote to make my decision to submit the application. Frustrating. They clearly didn't want the job or update your website to remove "deck replacement".

The project was completed as planned, exceeded my expectations and was done to my satisfaction. The entire team was professional and easy to work with. They answered all my questions and concerns during the process. The team was very neat and respectful of my home. The crew provided meticulous attention to detail and communication during the process was clear. They cleaned up the work area everyday after they completed their task. There were small cost overruns, but they were reasonable. I would contact them without hesitation for another job. The professionalism helped ease the stress of such a large endeavor. I am excited about enjoying my new outdoor space. I was pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Creative Exteriors Plus.

The estimate, design, demo, and build processes all went smoothly because of Agustin and his crew, who started every day bright and early - even when utterly frigid. Like any big project, there were some unforseen challenges, but Agustin communicated with us regularly and made the design changes and/or repairs that were necessary to push forward. Agustin and the crew did a great job with the deck and patio modifications to accommodate. I highly recommend Creative Exteriors Plus!

What a BEAUTIFUL job well done! I have a deck that is probably 30+ years old, and it was ROUGH (see…read morethe last two photos for before pictures). Some of the floor boards were rotting away so much that I was afraid to step on it for fear of falling through. Other boards were so frayed that it was a splinter nightmare. I worried about the safety of the deck, which made me not want to spend time out on it, or at least, not invite anyone else to spend time on it! There was also no way to access the deck from the outside, so any guests had to come through the house to access it. With a small group this wasn't a big deal, but for large neighborhood events this was a lot more difficult. I contacted 4 different companies to come out for an estimate, and Deck Impact was only one of the two companies who even answered/responded. Their estimator, Antonio, listened to what I was looking for and wasn't constantly trying to up sell me (like the other company was). He was able to give me a quote on site. My quote included replacing the floor boards, adding in another support beam underneath, painting the deck with a solid stain, and installing a spiral staircase. The work looks GREAT! I have been out on my deck ever day that hasn't been disgusting. When outside doing yard work, I've had multiple people share their adoration for the spiral staircase (which honestly has been a dream of mine since buying the house). The work ethic of their teams was incredible and they were very kind (I would leave out water and snacks, bring the dog around, etc.) and they were happy to share the different steps they were doing. They went above and beyond when small issues came up, working to fix them, which sometimes resulted in multiple trips. I know this was probably frustrating on their end, but they didn't show it to me. My only complaints, which are small and do not warrant a star deduction, but also I want to give a thorough review: sometimes, communication was lackluster. At times in the process, I had to reach out to get updates on dates when teams were coming out (after a week of not hearing anything). This very well may just be the nature of the trade, but it wasn't communicated to me that I wouldn't hear from them. But, every time I reached out I would receive a response within a day. Also after a couple of the work days (there were probably 5-6 total days teams were on site), there was a bit of trash left behind. Most of it was from demoing the floorboards, which were falling apart so I understand, but it was 3" nails and fragments of wood. The biggest concern was my dog running around. Also sometimes food wrappers and wrappers from construction materials were left in the yard. It's very possible it would have been cleaned the next time the crew was there, but with a dog, I had to spend time doing the cleanup so he wouldn't pick up something that would hurt him. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the work Deck Impact did from start to finish and would easily work with them again and refer them to family and friends. While yes, there is room for improvement, the work they have done has made me enjoy my deck again without breaking the bank. Thank you guys so much!

My questions and concerns were always addressed promptly and attentively. Their work is thorough and the results are of high-quality. While I can't speak for their other projects, the price for my staining project was fair and reasonable. They even cleaned the mildew off the concrete retaining wall abutting the deck while the rest of the deck was cleaned! Well done Deck Impact!

Caught on Camera…read more The owner of the company participated in dangerous road rage on US Route 340 in Charlestown, WV, involving a green subaru SUV and a semi truck. I was driving the semi truck when I noticed the white F150 (company owner) tailgating a green subaru in the left lane. The F150 attempted to overtake the subaru in the left turn lane at an intersection, almost causing a massive accident. F150 continued tailgating the subaru in the left lane until the next intersection. The right lane opened up in front of me as I approached the intersection. The F150 cut me off to attempt to pass the vehicles and forced me to FULLY apply my brakes. I laid on my air horn and the driver than SLAMMED on his breaks almost causing me to rear end him. I was less than a foot from the rear of his trailer when we came to a complete stop. I pulled over at the Harpers Ferry Sheetz. Police were immediately called. Incident caught on dash camera. I called the number on the back of the truck to report the driver, and the owner of the company answered. He said he was driving! He then cussed me out and said he will show up at the sheetz and "settle the situation." He then showed up to the sheetz in a red corvette and confronted me in a threatening manner. I backed away and told him to wait for the police. He left before the police came. Please consider another company, as this can happen in your neighborhood and someone could get killed!
