    Cascade Salad

Everything here is fantastic (but I have one gripe that I'll get to). Went here for my actual birthday dinner (we couldn't get into the restaurant on move in weekend and a Saturday night, so we settled for Sunday afternoon). The service was fantastic, even made a few jokes. The place is beautiful and the views are nice. Focaccia - $13 - I asked if this was house made bread, and they said yes, so I went with this over the Burrata appetizer. The bread was fantastic, and the whipped ricotta was delicious. It's simple but very good. 5/5 stars. Lobster Bisque - $15 - Good flavor, decent amount of lobster. I was pleasantly surprised how good this was. 5/5 stars. Cascade Salad - $9 or $14 - This was pretty good as well. A different family member ordered this and I was also pleasantly surprised again. It ALMOST makes me want to order it (if they didn't have lobster bisque). 5/5 stars. 16oz Ribeye with Black Truffle Butter - $78 + $4 - The sear was perfect, the medium rare cook was spot on, and the flavor couldn't be better (well, almost, because my Black Truffle Butter was more like wine butter). Here's my gripe, if you put something was Black Truffle Butter why on earth is there wine?! My body can't process alcohol (which is why I don't drink), and when I taste uncooked alcohol, all I taste is alcohol. So, this was my only gripe. I couldn't taste any truffle, just alcohol. I had to switch with my husband for parts of his New York Strip, and he took the parts of my steak that had the truffle butter. 5/5 stars, but the Truffle Butter 0/5 stars. 14oz New York Strip - $69 - Perfect sear, cook, and flavor. You really can't go wrong with the steaks here. 5/5 stars. Grilled Asparagus - $14 - Perfectly cooked, and not stringy. 5/5 stars. Au Gratin Potatoes - $14 - These potatoes everyone loved. Normally, I'm not a bread crumb topping person, but it works here. 5/5 stars. Mashed Potato - $12 - These are just typical steakhouse mashed potatoes. Smooth and good, you couldn't make them better, but they get outshined by all the other dishes. 5/5 stars. Creme Brulee - $9 - This was to die for. Whatever cream they use is so good. One of the best creme brulees you could ever get. 5/5 stars. I apologize for the lack of picture, apparently I was so excited that I just forgot to take one. This place is one of the best restaurants in Indiana. You need to go here. Just don't get the truffle butter, unless you like alcohol. Everything else is amazing.

Halibut steak with wilted Swiss chard and a lemon butter.

My wife and I chose Cascade to celebrate our first date, a "few" years ago. I'm not "allowed" to say how many years. Suffice it to say, it's measured in decades. We were warmly greeted and handed a card, signed by all staff, to congratulate us. Very thoughtful! Taylor was our server. She was fantastic. Couldn't ask for better service all the way around. We started with the steak tartare and yellowtail crudo. The tartare was served with house chips and it was excellent. Nice garlic and scallion flavor. The crudo was in a sesame ponzu dressing and it was also excellent. For the mains I had the Texas Wagyu ribeye. Great sear and cooked perfectly. My wife had the halibut steak, with wilted Swiss chard and a lemon butter. It was also cooked perfectly. However, there were bones that weren't mentioned. Not a problem tho. Plus, because we mentioned that, that entree was discounted. Totally unasked for. Very much appreciated. We struggled with entree choices, as several sounded great. Happy with our choices. Dessert was a huge slice of chocolate cake and crème brûlée. The cake, while heavy in weight, was light, airy and moist. Knocked out of the park. The crème brûlée was also large and just wonderful. The sugar was still warm when served! We had a great experience overall. Window seat. Perfectly spaced out courses. There will be return visits!

This dinner was amazing! Place had an upscale, but not pretentious vibe. We were in town for a Notre Dame game and opted for a good dinner the night before and my brother scored when he picked this place for the fam. We arrived a good 30 mins before our reservation and were able to get seated right away. It was a busy Friday night, but we were there to enjoy and socialize and never felt rushed. Steaks were amazing and some of the best we've ever had. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation now!

Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Cascade tonight, what a phenomenal experience! We arrived early to our reservation, but our table was ready and we were warmly greeted with an Anniversary card signed by the team and complimentary bubbles. Yessica was our server and did an amazing job guiding us through service. All courses were expertly timed, table reset after each course... the whole nine yards. The Pink Moon Oysters we fresh with a bright mignonette to compliment. The Yellowtail Crudo was flavored perfectly and we loved broth and roe. We both had steaks-- a filet and strip-- and both cooked and seasoned perfectly. We added lobster tail, crab oscar and split truffle Mac and cheese and grilled mushrooms. Everything was amazing. I had the seasonal Autumns End cocktail but subbed Mezcal for Reposado. As a 15 year bar veteran, their wine list was more than impressive and I was content enjoying my cocktail overlooking the river while dinner finished. What a beautiful dining space. Kudos to the team, it was a great evening and I will definitely be back!

My husband and I tried Cascade restaurant for our anniversary. We made a reservation on a Tuesday, which I was glad we did because it was very busy. When I went to the host we were seated right away at our reserved table. The tables were very close together in the section that we were in, but we made it work. When we got to our table, they gave us an anniversary card signed by the staff. I thought this was a very nice and genuine touch. The waitress also gave us free champagne glasses as a celebratory favor for our anniversary. She was very nice. During our time here, they were running a special where you could get a starter, main meal, and dessert. Overall, the deal was worth it. We both ordered the lobster bisque for our starter. The lobster bisque was good, but it was room temperature. We also both ordered the filet mignon with king crab for our main meal. I really enjoyed how they were both cooked, medium rare and they tasted very good. For our dessert, I chose the chocolate cake and my husband chose the crème brûlée. They were good classic desserts, and I would order again. The only downside that we had happened in this restaurant was we had ordered cocktails at the beginning of our dining experience and we did not receive them until over halfway through our main meal after asking multiple times. Overall, I did enjoy the food and I really loved the steak. This is not somewhere I would eat all the time due to the price, but it was wonderful for our anniversary. The oysters were really fresh and delicious as well. I highly recommend ordering those!

Great location! Food was delicious and service was good. The interior design gives a modern costal vibe. The bar area boasts a large and airy bar. I can see how the parking lot could get challenging, the spots themselves are on the smaller side and with private residences in the same location it could be questionable.

Everything was lovely. The ambience, food was really great! Service was good but I think our server was not old enough so our drinks were slow. That's ok. I understood. But he has things to learn. Loved my Black Cod and the sprouts were superb. Exactly what I wanted! Pricey but not over the top. Nice date night or just a super nice place to eat.

This was my first time at Cascade, and I was really impressed! For starters, the food and service were absolutely fantastic. Additionally, the interior appointments paired with the view of the river really elevated the overall dining experience! It was nice that they offered a vegetarian option even though their primary offerings are seafood and steak. Overall, a fantastic value and experience that I will be returning for!

Easily the best steak I've had in the area, only topped by ones I've had out of state or overseas! I ordered the filet with Oscar-style topping, which wasn't even necessary but made it even better. The crème brûlée was generously sized (a big plus), and the service was outstanding. This place is definitely a new favorite!

love being able to look out to the water. i'm so glad we sat inside and not outside because there was crazy smoke being blown outside (i'm guessing by the vents). server was nice but a bit forgetful. creme brulee was the star of the show

We went for an early afternoon date and were seated by a window with a beautiful river view. The staff walked us through the menu, and we enjoyed a variety of appetizers crab stuffed avocado, beef tartare, crudo, and steak gnudi. We ended with their house made chocolate cake and Guatemalan coffee perfect combo. Loved the upscale yet fun atmosphere definitely coming back! Highly recommend

Best steak I've had in the area. The only better steaks I've had were when I was out of state and out of the country! I can't wait to go back. I got my filet with the Oscar style topping, which it didn't even need, but added to the deliciousness. The creme brulee was large, which I love. Service was amazing. This place is truly up there for me.

Unfortunately we were completely ignored at our table. Several other two-tops got seated and the large party and they were all attended and even got their drinks before anyone greeted us or got our drink order. Eventually we moved tables to something more in the center of the dining room and still no one came to us. It wasn't until I flagged down a group of servers and food runners chit chatting by the corridor to the bathroom that someone finally came to our table. It's a shame the service sucked because the food was delicious. I loved my plum wine and spicy creamy V ramen. I added some extra veggie toppings which I think gets ridiculously pricey considering the ramen is already priced kind of high. My boyfriend had the chicken wings and white rice. He seemed to have enjoyed it. The following time I ordered delivery to avoid the spotty service we received last time. The packaging was great and it arrived early and was nice and hot. The V red fire opal ramen was DELICIOUS. And I'm absolutely obsessed with the matcha tiramisu. Delectable. I still want to try the Flying V harvest ramen. I appreciate they have several vegetarian options, considering the majority of the menu contains pork. Perhaps the next time I dine in and the service is improved they'll get that 5th star.

I have not yet had the pleasure of trying anything off of Fatbird's normal menu. I'll try to keep this review quick since it is pretty specific but long story short, we loved the unique and well made food and the service and vibes were great! So while Fatbird is known for their chicken sandwiches, my bf and I ordered the $40 lunch for two from this special 2026 menu, which was heavily indigenous Latin American-inspired in the ingredients. For the starter, we shared 8 sweet plantains slices which were yummy but we wish we had more. Then for our main, we split one grilled jerk chicken sandwich with VERY unique ingredients like a pickled green tomato as well as two creative tacos with tender shredded pork and more pickled veg. The tacos were spicy as heck and definitely not for the faint of heart! Lastly, we split a small bowl of arrow con leche brule, which helped bring the heat down from the tacos. While we didn't leave full, we had fun trying a curated and very unique set of dishes with interesting flavors, textures, and spices. The other 4 people we ate lunch with ordered a variety of stuff from the normal menu, some of which are in my attached pictures. My bf also ordered himself a pineapple tepache to sip on, which was $8, and I got myself a diet coke with lemon ($3). Our waitress was on top of her game and was very friendly. The interior is cute and spacious and the bathroom is cute and clean. I love a clean bathroom! Their normal menu has 8000 things I want to try next time! As for this special menu lunch, we paid, after tax, tip, and a credit card surcharge, a total of $67. A bit high for lunch, but good vibes all around!

He made me a really good skinny margarita with Tajín rim, he even suggested good tequilas to try! The chips and guacamole were amazing! I was a little disappointed that they don't have a queso appetizer. I tried the beef sope which was pretty good. I got the Michoacán fajitas and even though he did tell me that they use some of their Thai sauce in them, I did not like it. It was very sweet and had a weird flavor. I much prefer traditional fajita seasoning, so keep that in mind when you are ordering. It is a very large portion for the price so expect leftovers! The beef was definitely overcooked and dry. Even though these items weren't marked as gluten free I assumed they were because I got corn tortillas but I did end up having a reaction so I should have clarified better before ordering. He let me try all the salsas - mild was no spice and honestly not much flavor, medium was very spicy and hot was basically inedible for me. I did not try the Thai food, but might if I am ever back in the area. As for ambiance there isn't much to be honest. The bar was sad. All the liquor just sitting on metal wire racks with no actual bar or shelves. The restaurant furniture all looks old and needs to be updated.

The photos looked incredible, and the stellar reviews confirmed it wasn't just good lighting. I was sold--even if Waze had other ideas! After my GPS took me on a scenic tour of South Bend, I almost gave up. I called the restaurant, and the staff graciously guided me in. From the outside, the brick building looks like a standard office, but once you step inside, you realize you've stumbled upon a total hidden gem. It feels like a beautiful secret. Upon entering, the entire staff welcomed me so warmly that I felt like I was catching up with old friends. I walked past the elegant bar and chose a seat in the dining room. The ambiance is romantic, relaxing, beautifully decorated, and quaint--yet completely comfortable if you are dining alone. I opted for the tasting menu, which is served as a total surprise. For a true foodie, this is pure heaven. I didn't dislike a single dish. In fact, each plate brought so much joy that I caught myself closing my eyes just to savor the flavors and the atmosphere. As I told the staff on my way out: "The food was so good, it makes you want to cry!" (Happy tears, of course!). If you're a local who hasn't been, GO. If you're traveling for work, GO. If you have a special occasion, GO. Life is short--take the road trip to South Bend just for Roselily. The menu changes so I'll be back every chance I get! My only actual complaint? The owner wasn't there for me to beg him to open a second location in Lexington, KY!
