A mom and daughter day at the spa at Biltmore Hotel, the spa services are great, the massage amazing. After we had lunch by the pool, the crab cakes were excellent and so where the steak quesadillas, didn't get 5 stars because the margarita were blah, i'm certain they could elevate their margaritas to match the beautiful ambiance and delicious food, after all, you're at The Biltmore, you expect the best. Service was fabulous though, kudos to all employees and their friendly/helpful attitudes! PS The Bake shop inside Biltmore Hotel, coffee and croissants are great BUT the other desserts i bought to go (cuatro leches & chocolate mousse) were both old and stale, you would think they would discard desserts not bought by their freshness expiration date!! Annoying.

If it's a beautiful Miami day and you're looking for some sun Cascade is a great option in the Gables! Last on Saturday I feeling this way, but didn't feel like driving to the beach or far so my friend and I went for a quick drink and bites. When we got there even though we didn't have reservations or anything we were sat right away! The restaurant staff was all very nice and polite. To eat we got some guac, shrimp, and chicken tacos. The food was all good! Was it the best ever, no, but it does the trick and the atmosphere helps! The drinks were also good. We did't get anything fancy, just sauvignon blanc and tequila with club soda, but they both tasted good and had great alcohol to mixer ratio. Cascade was a lovely time and I hope to be back soon now in the Miami "winter" months where our weather gets even prettier!

Let's start with the fact that the food took a little over an hour to come! The view was beautiful. The food was very whatever. For the time it takes for the mediocre food to arrive, go somewhere else. The fish was good btw not fishy at all.

Taking a moment during a long day of meetings, we went poolside for lunch. The views at lunch are stunning, blue skies, and elegance. The Cascade Cafe is a typical poolside cafe offering a variety of options to satisfy mid-day hunger. I ordered the lobster tacos with fries. The lobster is lightly breaded and sprinkled with mango salsa and cabbage. Nothing outstanding, nothing bad - a just right place.

Nice café by the beautiful pool in the legendary Biltmore Hotel. We had a beautiful afternoon enjoying the weather, pool, and great service at Cascade. Nicole, our server on this day was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the wings and a few cocktails. The wine of the month is $10 a glass. Not a bad deal! We loved the outside seating and the beautiful hotel. It is a wonderful place for a lunch date or just a simple afternoon snack.

While the view of the pool is excellent, the food was mediocre at best. First off, our party of three waited for over an hour for our food. The restaurant wasn't at capacity, so, in the absence of any clear explanation for the wait, it would appear that our order was simply forgotten. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and my girlfriend ordered the huevos rancheros. I expected that my order of pancakes would be just that. Pancakes. Plural. What I received was a single, small, flavorless pancake. I caught a hint of lemon in one bite out maybe 12. My girlfriend's order had soggy, corn tortillas covered in what appeared to be ballpark nacho sauce. On top of that, there was a 20+ dollar service charge to the meal. Unclear what it was for, because what service we did have was pretty poor. Over priced and extremely underwhelming.

Atmosphere poolside is very relaxing (not including the children screaming in the pool lol). The food is just ok. We ordered the ceviche, tuna tartar, calamari, and Lobster rolls. ceviche had some spice but not enough lime juice. Calamari had no flavor or salt, Lobster roll was good but tasted like it was made with too much Mayo. Overall, just come to the Biltmore pool for the view lol

Fries dry and look the bread is burn !!! For turkey sandwich club !!!

Bad service . 30 mins to wait a server come to see you to order . Then you order 3 burgers + 1 turkey club sandwich. The meat for the burger is cook bad , fries are dry and the bread is burn !!!! The bread de turkey club sandwich is burn . Very bad food bad customer service . Big mess on the others tables . No clean . For a huge hotel as the Biltmore hotel I was expecting more ! That a really shame to see how bad is this place is so beautiful and how the restaurant and the customer service is so bad very dissatisfied. I will not recommend.

    Beautiful Historic Biltmore Hotel

Breathtaking views, clear waters, and a Mediterranean Cuisine that will definitely impress. This little hidden gem is tucked away on the Historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. The hotel literally looks like a Spanish castle. Huge pool with a cascading waterfall and that's where you will find the Cascade Poolside Grill restaurant. It so relaxing and mellow here and a must see if you're in the area or Miami period. I was served by an awesome server by the name of Neilson. He offered some great insight on the menu and selection of entrees. They have a pretty simple but interesting menu that I would describe as Mediterranean/American Traditional. I'm a big seafood lover so I had to satisfy that craving and set my eyes on the Lobster & Shrimp Tail. The presentation was spectacular and picture worthy as you'll see. As much as I wanted to take my time and savor the taste I couldn't because it was just that darn good. Anyhow the food was GREAT, the poolside views are something you have to see with your own eyes, service was spectacular (pool attendants were very friendly and even set me up on a pool chair with a small table and complimentary water without me even asking). Also if you have the time feel free to roam the grounds of the hotel, there is a golf course, nice elegant lobby where there was a lady playing the harp, and if im correct they do tours of the hotel on Sundays...and 3 other restaurants to pick from in the hotel.

Lovely place to sit and chat with a friend and have a glass of wine. The menu is tasty with a nice variety, but resort prices.

In our 2 meals there I had a pizza for dinner and a breakfast sandwich the next morning. For a 3 meal hotel restaurant, I thought they did a great job. In the morning my wife had their "version of a pancake" which was very custardy in the middle and a bit strange but still good. You want to make a pancake where it is cooked on the outside and still soft on the inside? Sure, why not. Not our fave but the service and buildout were good and especially when we stuck with the more traditional fare, everything was delicious.

They have a huge drink selection and I think they are well priced despite it being The Biltmore. I got the Heartbreaker martini for $18 and it was so delicious! The service was efficient and friendly, Ken took great care of us and made sure everything flowed smoothly. The menu has a great variety and everything is beautifully presented. I started with the sweet-sauce chicken wings, perfectly crispy and full of flavor, followed by a round of tacos, some with beef, others with chicken, fresh and well balanced. I also had the chance to shake things up with an espresso martini or known as RumWake. It had all those rich coffee aromas and an interesting twist from a banana nut texture. It was good, but I still prefer the classic version. Their mojito, which I usually don't enjoy, totally surprised me, bright mint notes toned down the sweetness just right. At Mamey, they call it the "Mint Condition," and it's definitely worth a conditional try. The one drink I liked the least was the Serata, essentially an Aperol spritz with Asian gin blended with Prosecco. It felt watered down and the flavors just didn't come together for me. Overall, Mamey delivers a unique "island-minded" experience that blends flavors from the Caribbean, Asia, and Latin America. Between the beautiful setting, creative menu, great cocktails (with a couple of misses), and attentive service, it's a spot I'd come back to for both casual nights and special occasions.

We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out. That said, if you're just looking for a solid drag show or appreciate Latin nightlife, this is definitely an option.
