We walked in and rented a jet ski at this place and I would have to say, I am really satisfied! The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and accommodated! He loaded the jetskis onto his huge truck and then led us to a secluded/private area of the lake where you pretty much have the whole shore to yourself. The water was warm and refreshing, the view was amazzzing. It was my first time riding one and I'm looking forward to coming back! I don't have any complaints. The jetski was in good condition and the owner was hospitable. He even insisted and actually brought us a whole cooler of drinks when he found out we didn't bring drinks (oops) which I really thought was very generous and nice of him. He came back every now and then to check on us to see if everything was okay. Side note: DO NOT start the jet skis in shallow water! You will get rocks in them and damage them and pay for the damage! The family who rented a couple jet skis before us managed to do that to both of them! Ouch on the pocket there! We parked our jetski to get food from our cabin and when we got back they were gone and their jet skis were just sitting there. I thought that maybe they got hungry too and left for a little bit but a few hours passed & they never came back. The owner later on told us what happened. Made a few calls to schedule the trip, but it was definitely worthy. Here are some tips: The additional $40 insurance DOES INCLUDE everything, gas, gears, double-riding..so it is recommended. And do not ride the snowmobile too slow as it will overheat (surprisingly) Other than that, everyone there was friendly, willing to help, professional. By then we were done and wanted our money back. He said go out for 1 hour and that's all he would charge us for..we got back and he wasn't even there, and we were double charged..plus $30 for gas for our 1 hour of riding. Rented a pontoon boat for a day on the lake w my family. Shawn and staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. I called a few weeks in advance and followed up to confirm - this makes sense to me during a busy season. Cascade Playtime pros put the boat in, loaded a cooler w ice and water for us and were especially patient and gracious with all of my nervous questions. We had an awesome day and I was so grateful. It's Lake Cle Elum, not Lake Como. This is a casual, relaxed place with fun-lovin' folks and they certainly took great care of us. Just wish the trails were marked a little better... but half the fun getting lost... would definitely recommend Sean for a no worries have some fun kind of place that doesn't try to talk you in to (unnecessary) guides and such. We reserved a couple jet skis last week for a family vacation. When I reserved them I was assured that the jet skis would be put in the water for us since we didn't have a boat. I got a call from someone the day before our rental who said, "you have a truck to put them in right?" I told him no and that I was guaranteed they would be put in the lake for us. His response (exactly) "nope. We don't have the guys and it's too much trouble so it's cancelled". He also mentioned something about the water being too low? We were very disappointed but the good news is we found a different (and professional) company who took care of us.. I will never rent from this place again. Terrible service. read more

I placed a deposit in late October for 2 performance snowmobiles, Ski Doo 800's, for 1/15/10. When we arrived, they set us up and sent us out. We only made it 2 miles down the trail before my snowmobile began to smoke and bog down. We decided we should turn back right away. We almost made it back, but the snowmobile's engine ceased. They then came and got it, and said they had another set up for me. when I got back to the facility, they tried to set me up on an 18 year old (one of the oldest in their fleet) Polaris Indy. Now keep in mind, I had paid the extra for a performance rental. There were many more, newer models out and available, so I told them I would like to ride what I paid for. They then grew annoyed with me. I had to ask the office employee for help to get me on another snowmobile of equal value to what I paid for. She then told me to take a Ski Doo 500 trail sled. This was apart of their normal fleet, and was not, like the old Polaris, a high performance rental. I then asked if I would be reimbursed the difference between the high performance rental and the normal rental. After their reluctancy, they agreed, and I was off on the normal rental. Right away, I noticed a severe pulling to the right. The handle bars were bent and the sled was dangerous to handle. I had my brother in law try it to confirm what I was feeling, and he, being an experienced snowmobiler told me that we needed to go back--that it wasn't safe at all to take. When we arrived back, the very frustrated owner and mechanics were short and snippy with us. we remained composed and asked nicely for our money back, because we had already wasted 2 hours already... and they refused. We even requested a partial refund. they told me NOT A CHANCE. The owner than demanded that I take another sled. I told him that I would need for him to make sure that the sled was in running condition and safe before I would depart. He set me up with another ski doo 500 trail sled and filled it full of fuel. My brother in law and I rode 20 miles before I noticed that my gas tank was reading empty. we decided we should turn back just in case. We made it about 5 miles more (towards CPT) before my snowmobile completely ran out of gas. Luckily, my brother in law's phone had signal and he was able to call CPT. The owner said he would come right out, and that it was strange that we were already out of gas. an hour later, after having to huddle in the trees off the trail for shelter because it was pouring rain, they showed up. This time, the owner brought me a BRAND NEW snowmobile and told us to take it and go ride. After having been stranded in the pouring rain on sled # 4, we were cold, soaked to the bone and discouraged with how poorly we had been treated. It was also 2:00pm--most of the day wasted. We decided to head back and take off. Why is it that we had to go through 4 sleds before I got a nice, reliable snowmobile? When we arrived back, the shop woman offered us hot dogs and told me that they were refunding me only $25 (and only me, not my partner who was stuck with me all day) for the inconvenience. That's all they would do for me. We didn't ask for much. We understand that snowmobiles are temperamental machines and that misfortune happens, but they could have treated us better. We spent a lot of money with them only to be treated like this? All we asked for was our money back. My brother in law and I spent $250 each. They ended up refunding me the difference from a performance sled to a normal rental PLUS the $25. a grand total of $100. how fantastic of them. I would NEVER GO HERE if I were you. read more

I've been renting up here for years. This place Rocks. They have everything, all the gear you need, all the cold weather equipment you need, a coffee shop that makes rad pizza's and other killer snacks. I was just up this past Sunday and my trip started with breakfast from the owner and ended with dinner. Three of us went up and it felt like being with family. I highly recommend this place. They are fair, friendly (above and beyond), knowledge and just some good folks trying to make a living and make you feel comfortable learning a sport their whole family loves. SOOOOOO much fun snow mobiling!!!! We came as a group of 5 on President's Day and they were accomodating & quick to get us geared up and on a ride! The prices are fair and the staff were so wonderful, I truly felt like family! They were helpful & knowledgeable and I will definitely be returning to do more business with them in the future. I've been going to Cascade Playtime ever since they opened for business around 1999. A friend of mine has a cabin near their shop and I can't begin to tell you how many times and how many hundreds of miles they have saved me! When I was a broke joke kid out of high school riding old Indy 500's and XLT's countless times they let me come in and "rummage' through parts to get my sleds back running, most of the time either giving me the part for free or selling it to me dirt cheap as I had very limited means back then! There was an instance I'll never forget when I let my buddy ride my old XLT and the lower bearing went out, jamming up all the gears and toasting the entire chain case. Who did I call first?? I went to Cascade and of course always talk to Sean the owner (but his staff is helpful too.) He had me talk to a mechanic who just parted out a similar sled. The mechanic went off the clock to drive me to his house and sell me a complete chain case off an XCR for $60, gears, bearings, everything. Not only did Sean let him leave to do this but when we got back he even loaned me a torque wrench to do the job properly. Now that I've grown up and can afford newer sleds I still buy all my gear from Sean and wont forget how much he helped keep our fun going. While other dealers are just out to make a buck at any cost I always felt like Sean knew we just wanted to be out there enjoying the sport.. by whatever means we could. I use to live near Puyallup and would make the drive over just to get my Klim gear because dealing with ANYONE ELSE was just plain ridiculous. I now live in Boise ID and will continue to shop for my gear exclusively through Sean and Cascade Playtime because once you deal with quality customer service and someone who is as passionate about the sport as you... you'll never go anywhere else! My friend and I were here in Feb. I am so glad we came here. The owners were the gold standard of small business owners. Friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We were offered hot chocolate, and when I realized I left my warm coat back at the hotel, they gave us each a snowsuit to use. The snowmobiles were great, and the fact that you go where YOU want to, and not with other people was awesome. We were here on a Thursday so it wasn't busy at all, and Katrina said, enjoy, we are only charging you for 1/2 a day. We wound up about 5 1/2 hours of the most fun in a long time. My fiance who grew up riding snowmobiles in Minnesota decided that it was time to show me how much fun it was. We found Cascade Playtime on the internet. They rented us 2 standard performance sleds (SkiDoo Summit and SkiDoo Expedition) for a bit longer than a half day and hooked us up with some brand new helmets and a pair of boots. After a quick lesson we had a trail map in hand and away we went. WHAT A BLAST!! Miles of groomed trails, uphill, downhill, straight-away, off trail, hairpin turns and switchbacks galore...the views were great - the ride was AWESOME!! My fiance's sled pulled a bit to the left - and we came back for lunch and they swapped it out for a different sled- no problem. After our ride we were offered soup and a hot drink. We highly recommend coming here for the day if you live in the Tacoma/Seattle surrounding area. Can't wait to do this again! read more

I have used Cascade Playtime services for years to rent both snowmobiles and watercrafts. Hands down they have provided the best service and products of any rental service I have ever used. They are a true family! Lately I have chosen to go back to this area as opposed to other closer places simply because of them. They have all the equipment you will need and GREAT service to go with it. I don't really write a lot of review, but after my most recent trip to rent from them I was once again amazed by their service and noticed more so that every other customer received the same service.
