We loved our sleigh riding today. People who work there are very professional and knowledgeable. We learned so much about draft horses from our instructor. Just great experience! Kid is so happy! Enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate at the end. Can't wait to be back next year!

I was visiting family who live at Suncadia for the Christmas holiday and have always wanted to go on an authentic sleigh ride but it has never worked out before. Well this time I made it happen and it was a fantastic experience. They were too booked up to take my full party (don't be like us...book ahead at least a couple days for this!) but they were able to squeeze me in as a solo person morning of since I was the one who really wanted to do it. The price was fair (about $25 per adult, not sure about kids) and the ride is 30 minutes. They provide warm fuzzy blankets for during the ride and hot cocoa at the end of your ride. They will also take photos of you with your camera on the sleigh. The ride was super relaxing (snow was falling!) and since I was by myself, I got to sit up front with the guide even though there were two other families on the ride with me. The scenery was beautiful. If the conditions are right and you are here in the winter, it's a great family friendly activity. It was definitely the highlight of my trip! The signs are easy to spot from the road and parking is easy. You can book online in advance through their website or if you get lucky last minute (like me), you can pay onsite (cash or card).

Trail off Bull Frog Road. Jolly Mountain Fire could not stop us from enjoying this ride! Yes it affected our view.

Finally tried Three Peaks Outfitters 1.5 hour horseback ride after many fantastic 1/2 day rides. It was GREAT!! It included beautiful scenery, nice trails, wonderful horses AND our always terrific guide, Michelle! This is so worth doing when you visit or live in Upper Kittitas County!

Scott, Michele, and Burton showed four of us a fantastic 6-day, 5-night, adventure in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area in the Cascade Mountain Range. They made our trip comfortable, fun, educational, exciting, and forever memorable. Their food and camp accommodations were perfect. Their willingness to please and surprise (limes, strawberry rhubarb pie, Starbucks, fresh huckleberry pancakes, and more) was excellent. Their daily rides from base-camp were tailored to our desires and abilities, and were challenging, and beautiful. I came back a much better horseman than when I started out with their professional coaching, particularly in the areas that challenged me. Thank you for all that, Scott, Michele, and Burton! To new friends! Three Peaks Outfitters - Best folks to take you into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area!

We went on an amazing 3-day, 2-night camping trip on horseback with Michele, one of the owners of the business.

Rattlesnake Ridge is an awesome hike that is quintessential to the area. It's popular for good…read morereason as it's accessible and has great views of Rattlesnake Lake and beyond. For anyone who loves hiking in the Seattle area, they've likely already visited Rattlesnake Ridge. So take your visitors from out of town here and it'll be a solid time. Because it's a popular trail in North Bend, like any others in the area, get here early if hiking on the weekend. We visited on a holiday where many people had the day off, so ended up parking on the side of the road as the parking lot for this trailhead was all full in the late morning. You've been warned! Bathrooms are located at the start of the trail and is where the lake is for beautiful views and a swim. The trail itself starts through a forest and is mostly covered by the trees. At the top is where it's clear, so it's a great hike for sun coverage. But you'll still break a sweat as it inclines. It's four miles roundtrip, and there are other trails attached to it for further adventures. For those who are used to hiking, this is an easy one to do. AND, it's dog-friendly! Loved seeing all the dogs here. I recommend climbing Rattlesnake Ridge and soaking in the views at the top. You won't regret it.

It's perfect with great views. Expect the trail to be busy on weekends during the summer months. I always like to start early and end early. Would say it takes 2-3 hours round trip depending on your level of fitness (this includes some time at the top to enjoy the views, take a sip of some water or coffee, and eat a light snack). Highly recommend (wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and some snacks for the top).
