Let me first say this is not my first time going there but my second. Both time we have gone we have waited quite a while to get our pedicure. Once the pedicure begins I would say it is mediocre at best. They DO NOT do a good job scrubbing the dead skin of our nails like most places do. You are left leaving the place with the same amount of dead skin as you walked in with. The man who did my nails seemed distracted and did not pay very much attention to what he was doing while he was scrubbing it with the pumis stone. He ended up cutting the side of my foot. It took him ALL of the time that he was painting my toes and lotioning my legs to notice that he had cut me. He DID NOT apologize all he said what that he was going to put this stuff on it. I asked him what it was and he said it was to stop the bleeding and that it was cut from the pumis stone: This stuff was blue and in an UNLABELED bottle. I told him no he wasn't putting that stuff on my foot. Still no apology and didn't even act like he felt bad. He then put the slippers on and sent me to the dryer. When I went to pay with my card he would me to get cash out of the ATM. Still no apology for cutting me. I paid him 25 dollars for the pedicure. Did not leave a tip. Well.....I must say that the environment and appearance looks very nice. My nails were rushed. After the nail tech applied the acrylic to my nails, he didn't allow me to wash my hands after. He been applied the clear polish to my nails and then that was it. I asked him to re-shape my nails because they weren't shaped properly and he had an attitude because I asked. I then asked him if he could refile my nails lower because the acrylic was too thick on the nail and he had an attitude. Then he had the nerve to charge me $45 for unprofessional service and poor service. My nail tech was Eric N. Overall the quality of the service was very horrible. I feel bad leaving a bad review because the people who work there are SO nice. But I have given this salon 3 chances over the last year, worked on by 3 different people, and I was so disappointed each time. The Deluxe Spa pedicure comes with a massage and callous remover, but the massage lasts about 2 minutes and they don't bother timing it, and they don't acknowledge the callouses whatsoever. My gel manicure looks like I did it myself. My nails were filed unevenly and all different shapes. The polish is sloppy near my cuticles and they didn't do the greatest job cutting my cuticles either. They're not terribly expensive but it's still upsetting to spend $65 on such a mediocre service. Beautiful nail salon! The "spa" portion of my pedicure was great. Costs $45 and you get all types of scrubs, warm compresses and paraffin wax. The nail tech did not rush and my pedicure took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The polish was just ok, not as smooth as I would have liked. Bring cash! There is a sticker with Visa and MasterCard logo at the front desk as well as a credit card machine but when leaving the guy demands I go to the ATM. I asked if they take cards and they say no. Luckily my bank card doesn't charge fees or I would have been very upset. ATM fee was $1.50. The spa experience balanced out the paint job so I gave 3 stars. read more

They cut the nail way too short for coffin and ended up with bulky round/square shape.. Sat there for 40 minutes waiting when I was told I would be only waiting 15 minutes, charged me 30$ and didn't even touch my cuticles, yes it is clear polish but you can still tell it was rushed and didn't even paint the edges of my nails. So, by watertown standards, this place is pretty good. The prices are comparable to the poopholes in the malls, but they give you a much more luxurious feeling. Spa pedicures are in amazing massage chairs, they put aromatherapy pads on your shoulders, overall very cozy experience. Reasons why they dont get a 5 star: IF you get the owner or managers to work on you (which I dread!) they wont stop trying to upsell you shit. I said NO! Stop asking me youre making this experience more stressfull than enjoyable. I was also over charged once. But I cant be mad because I went back 2 weeks later and the guy that overcharged me acknowledged that he over charged me and gave me a credit on my services that day. So from all the salons in this area I will definitely be coming back. They also do great eyelash perms! Obviously its not perfect. It's not up to city standards (ie: LA or NYC) but for Watertown/Fort Drum area, I suppose it's the best any of us pretty girls can ask for :( read more

The woman who did my manicure was one of the rudest nail techs I have ever encountered. I wasn't expecting to be doted on, nor to have a particularly luxurious experience, but I was not prepared to be treated so poorly. When I came in and said I just wanted a manicure, she briskly walked me to her station, motioning (I assume) to sit down. She went into the back to get supplies. When she came back, she pointed to some fake nails with designs on them and asked, "you get these?" I said, "No, I'd just like a plain manicure please." She kept on & on with the fake nails, and then gel nails. I kept having to repeat, "No...just plain polish." She finally just sat there & stared at me, as if in disbelief I was not going to get gel polish. I had to ask her, "Umm...is that alright?" before she snapped out of it. She continued to look at me throughout the manicure, it made me really uncomfortable. Not once did she try to engage me in conversation. (Fine by me, as I don't really enjoy talking during manicures, but a simple, "How are you doing today?" would have been nice..) It was the quickest, and least efficient manicure I've had to date (and I have had plenty!) I think she spent about 2 minutes on filing, buffing, and clipping my cuticles. The actual polish was fine, however. I was in & out of there in 15 minutes. It was $14 for the manicure (a little high, for the services received and the location, in my opinion) and then she added $1 because I used my debit card instead of cash. I am giving it 2 stars because the inside was fairly nice looking by normal nail salon standards. But my polish chipped not a few hours after the manicure, and I can assure you I will not be returning for another. read more

I am not sold on this place. They have their prices set because they are the closest thing to the base. First - it's overpriced. For a full set, pedi (that they don't even scrape the doggone dead skin, but instead will smooth it), and eyebrow, I get charged $110. That is ridiculous!!! I have tried several people in here. A few of the guys are rough - my cuticles have been cut and bled several times, I've left with my fingers stinging from them being too rough. One of the times, I had a sprained finger and let him know several times prior, and he was still snatching my doggone finger and bending it at angles it couldn't go. There is a guy - Michael - who is very gentle; however, he is as slow as molasses! OMG! It took 2 hours to do just a pedi. I didn't have time to do the mani, pedi, and eyebrow in 2 flipping hours! The owner, I have found her to be really nice, but the other staff (in general) are not the most pleasant. They also try to upsale so much that it ruins the experience. I'm willing to pay well (and tip even better) for a phenomenal experience, but a) I can't afford this crap, and b) I left every time feeling like I had just been bent over. So the price was a bit high. I paid almost 40 for a regular manicure. The woman who did mine said about two words not counting how many times she tried to get me to buy designs for my nails. I've had 4 manicures in my life, I don't really care for fancy stuff. I had some time to kill. Now my main issue is its been almost a month and I can't get the fucking polish off!! Than he had me wait in his chair for 30 minutes while he was in the back doing absolutely nothing!! The place was not clean at all and he was just rude. The nail tech I had was very pushy and I ended up getting more than I wanted because she pushed shellac and a nail design. I'm just now leaving at 4:15 from a basic mani pedi when i arrived at 1:20 and was told 15 mins. My feet soaked in the water so long they were prune and the water was cold. Adam was great honest and polite but the lady on 5 that did my mani was terrible. All I wanted was the gel taken off and clear coat. I read reviews before going, and it was very helpful. The interior looks beautiful. The people working there are relatively nice. The service itself wasn't the best. I got acrylic nails. The acrylic was applied quickly and not properly. The filing was painful and I actually started bleeding a bit from them filing too much of my nail. The pricing is also expensive. Well for being in the military and wearing combat boots all the time, I like to treat myself to a pedicure every so often. This was the first place near Fort Drum who I thought did a decent job on my toes. I mean I can't compare it to places back home because they are so much better, but the past two times I went to Casablanca they did a good job. This rating is compared to other nail salons in the area because one of the ones I went to, they sawed into my toe with a nail file. It was so painful and hurt for days!...I usually get the Deluxe Spa Pedicure which cost $35, but they almost always have some kind of sale so it came to $32. The gentleman who did the job was great and I am satisfied with my pedicure. However, throughout my time at the salon, he kept trying to sell me more and more. I went here to get my nails done and I don't often indulge in these types of services because I don't have a lot of expendable cash. I cant express how disappointed I was that I wasted my saved 80 dollars on this place. I will say, that the man who waxed my eyebrows was FANTASTIC. They look great, it barely hurt, and the price was normal for that service. My pedicure was rushed because it got busy, the don't scrape the dead skin, and he didn't use a base coat or a top coat, and the nail polish is not opaque (you can see streaks in it). The manicure was the same, and he kept hounding me to get fake nails which I didn't want. He was OBVIOUSLY upset that I did not want fake nails and was extremely rough when "massaging" and doing my nails. All the extra services included in the "spa" manicure were nice but he spent more time on that then the actual care for the nails. Also I sat in the dryer for 22 minutes and my nails were still so wet that even just lightly touching the side to check if they were dry wiped the entire polish and sparkle right off in one clean sweep as if it was lotion. This place is WAY to overpriced and not worth it. If you are on base, there are places not to far into watertown, and clayton etc that will not assume they can overcharge you. It was not worth the price, and a very disappointing experience, especially for those of us who consider this a treat and not a routine. I've been here x2. First time was excruciatingly painful. The guy made my cuticles bleed, left the blood on my hands and wouldn't let me get up to wash it off. He barely spoke anything to me... was too busy talking on his phone or just talking to other people. Was not a very warm nor inviting experience. 2nd time, the lady was really nice. Since I first tried this salon I have never gone anywhere else. I also never used to go regularly, but I go every 2-3 weeks now and find it is well worth the cost because my nails are perfect and I do nothing myself to maintain them. The people at Casablanca are friendly and I get so many compliments on my nails everywhere I go! Several times someone has asked me out in public where I got my nails done and when I said "Eric at Casablanca" they said, "Oh, I love Eric!!!" I also have had a problem in the past because my hands are very sensitive and this made manicures painful, but I've not had that problem there. I also get my brows done periodically and appreciate that they aren't over-done. Also appreciate being able to get an appointment and stay on schedule. I recommend Casablanca Nails Spa. read more
