I'd give no stars if possible ... had an appointment with Alyssa for 1pm, and she still hasn't shown up at 5pm. She booked the time with me and already had the designs ideas. The price was going to be reasonable, and I paid a deposit (hopefully I will get it back!), was ready to pay and get my work today and nothing. The shop was closed so I tried calling and left messages, then texted vis FB messages still no response for an hour, then I get a message saying that the piercer is trying to get ahold of Alyssa. More hours go by and no word. Finally I said enough (while running errands around Watertown waiting for a response, and just canceled. This is ridiculous and very unprofessional! My boyfriend and I went to this shop thinking it was gonna be the same experience as the shop located in Evans Mills, we got tattoos done by this girl named Kovy and absolutely loved how professional and nice she was. The second we arrived in Watertown the shop wasn't open and it said they were on lunch but we had already called and set an appointment up with them beforehand and they said 3 o'clock. We sat outside calling the shop for about 20 minutes with no answer until the lady picked up and said Darrell would be on his way. Time just kept flying by until we heard news that Darrell was coming from court. We sat in the shop and didn't get any work done until 6 o'clock after having a set appointment for 3. Also, meanwhile my boyfriend had an idea of what he wanted for his arm sleeve and did not receive any where close to what he wanted. We payed 750 for this and it's definitely not worth the money meanwhile Darrell said we would fill my boyfriends whole arm out for the amount we had given him and hadn't. I told my boyfriend to ask for it back but we were told that he had already spent it on meth very unprofessional by the way. Meanwhile all of this is going on and we went back because he said he could finish it and picked my boyfriend up around 3 and didn't bring him back until 1 in the morning with it still not finished and continues to ask for more money when we haven't even received the amount of work we had payed for. The artist was getting up all the time and could not stay still and also left my boyfriend in his shop alone for around 1 hour. We have called and called him to finish or just give us money back so we can just be done with this place but he hasn't even answered the phone. Very very frustrating and not happy with this place at all. Wouldn't recommend going here. Meanwhile we're sitting at another shop getting his work all fixed up, even the tattoo artist here say it's shitty work. Meanwhile my twin brother got a tattoo done by them too and the tattoo artist didn't even do it and let an apprentice do it which is fine no hate to let someone who's just starting do something but she couldn't even do it so he started it and it looks worse too. read more

Unorganized and unprofessional. I went in for my appointment and found out the owner double booked the artist and didn't even tell the artist i was going to be there. I got my tattoo, but it was going to need some touch ups. Scheduled the appointment with the artist who "checked her calendar" to make sure "I have the time". Showed up for appointment, five weeks after the original, and the owner said it was her day off and had no idea that I would be there. So he says he'll take care of the touch up and proceeds to do a piss poor job and actually fucked up with a dark line crossing over a lighter area. His line work is not good. Still have the Tat but I'm going to get it lasered off and redone by a good shop. read more

This place deserves 20 stars! Everyone (who is into tattoos) has *that one guy* and won't go anywhere else. For me, that guy is Mike at Underground Ink. So far I've only had him do 3 of my tattoos. One was a star on the back of my neck, the other 2 were much more elaborate cover ups and I FREQUENTLY get compliments. The first cover up is the most elaborate. I won't get into the story behind the tattoo underneath, but the cover up took about 5 years of planning and looking for somebody who could actually draw what I had in mind- the way I wanted it- without charging more than I could afford. The details were: a gypsy fairy with tattered butterfly wings and lilies in her hair, riding on a white tiger. Sounds simple, maybe, but what Mike drew was far better than I would have ever imagined. It looks simply amazing! More importantly, Underground Ink puts a lot of value into making sure their tattoos will look as good a year later as when you first walk out of the shop. They explain things that other tattoo artists rush through, such as the effect of the sun on your ink. The tattoos themselves look amazing because of the attention to detail given to specific things like ink color and shading. My second coverup is simply a rose vine wrapping around my arm. It has 3 roses, each with an initial for one of my kids. The vine itself has about 5 different shades of green, and black for shading, and is simply marvelous. No wonder I get so many compliments, and I tell everyone why the only place I will go to get a tattoo is at Underground Ink. Strongly recommend! read more

He was willing to talk through ideas. A great deal of patrons just want help making their tattoo ideas come to life, this studio is great for that. "I am the only female certified piercer in the area." highly doubt it. someone with formal training doesn't pierce that deep and cause irrefutable damage to the area.
