Picked up burritos & tacos on the way up to a friends for dinner. Everything was really good & flavorful - nothing was dry or poorly cooked. Salsas were great, I loved the carnitas the most, and our vegetarian loved the variety of vegetables in the burrito (not just beans and rice). read more

Went to this place today. So glad to have them here, very good and fresh. easily the best burritos in town, my wife really enjoyed her tamale. A bit pricey ($12.99) for a burrito but they are very large and they don't skimp on the meat like others. Talked with the owner and they are building the menu ( new place). This tiny little restaurant has the best salsa we've ever had! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to them getting their liquor license! Got a super burrito with Al pastor and it was wonderful. Very flavorful with pico de gallo and chunks of avocado inside. The staff were all very nice and polite. They have a table for takeout orders inside their front courtyard with outdoor seating but also a dining room in the back for table service that was cute as well with a good amount of seating. Outstanding food and service! We had chorizo, chicken and carnitas tacos.....all were tremendous. Seasoned wonderfully and done to perfection. We were treated to a cinnamon pastry that was sensational. The complimentary chips, salsa, and sautéed onions and jalapeños were a bonus to the meal. Food is always amazing. I live in Watsonville but visit aptos often, it's a perfect place for Takeout so you can go sit on the beach and eat. I'm Mexican and I can say this food is super authentic, and reminds me of my grandmas cooking. Staff is always nice. I'm so glad I've discovered this place. I was disappointed to see some bad reviews, so I decided to write my opinion to show my support. First time trying this restaurant. My husband and I walked up to the take out area. We looked at the menus, they had several. We decided on 2 super burritos. The young woman said $38. We looked at the menu and they were $13.95 each. Then she said the burritos were $15.00 each. We showed her the menu. I said I didn't want the food now that we were being overcharged. She didn't care. Every menu was marked $13.95 in black grease pencil. We would have paid the price on the menu. They should change their prices on their menus. We will never go back! read more

OMG! Why did I wait so long to try this place?! Delicious, mui sabrosa! As soon as I walked into the courtyard the aroma was amazing. There is a small quaint courtyard and a very nice person who takes your order at a walk up table and delivers your order. I got my food to go but it was pleasant and I would have eaten in if my dog wasn't in the car. I had the "California" burrito with carnitas. It has potato, love the authentic addition of potato. It was delicious and my order included chips and three different salsas. Can't wait to return. As I was waiting a cranky person was complaining that she had to wait two minutes in line and told her partner that the service was terrible, uh, no. Service was friendly and efficient. 5 stars for this area. It's not as good as taquerias in San Diego or Mexico (duh), but for our area, they're my new fave. Carne Asada was seasoned really well, a lot of flavor, delicious red rice and good tortilla. Horchata was classic, which is all I ask for lol. Both had very little meat and what was there had No flavor. They we're all masa.The red sauce was just hot the green sauce had no flavor. This little hidden gem is located next to Manuel's .... but is different enough and good enough to compete. The quesadillas de birra are really good, and their tamales are top notch. The sweet corn tamal is almost a dessert and it sounds strange, I know- but shouldn't be missed. Tacos and standard fare are good, it's quick, and prices are half the cost of manuel's. I get their Carne asada burrito and it's great but the quality and filling ratios is not consistent. 1st time I got it the seasoning was great, good ratio of rice, beans, meat and other. Great sauces and salsas. 2x I got it California style - not worth it. Soggy fries don't add any flavor to a burrito. 3x- had about 1 tbsp of meat and the rest was rice and beans. Flavorful, but not really what you want for a satisfying Carne asada burrito. Salsas were also nor consistent this time. They'd be great with some quality control. read more

Ordered food from them after a day at the beach. The food was really good. We ordered birria tacos, super birria burrito, super pastor burrito, and a plain quesadilla. The pastor was delicious. It was full of flavor. The birria was good but I felt like was kind of lacking flavor. Overall I'd recommend this place. They didn't go skimp on the meat. Their prices were reasonable. I'd order from them again. We were late from picking up our food. Our food was already ready 15 minutes before we got there but it was still warm and fresh. read more

Unfortunately we had a bad experience tonight with our order. In the past we've loved the quesa barilla. We were craving them when we ordered. They are usually crispy and flavorful. Tonight we had an order of the quesa barilla and a taco plate. Both quesa barilla's we're soft and under cooked and the meat was bland. The shrimp taco came with Costco coconut shrimp! A little weird and not what I was expecting. The fish tasted old and from the freezer. The chicken taco wasn't bad. The beans and rice had no flavor. The beans were pinto beans and not seasoned. The rice tasted like plastic. Definitely a change in what we were used to. I feel bad recommending this place. I hope it changes for the better with a better cook and management. I'm sorry Casa Rossy but tonight was not your night. read more
