    Chile Verde Pork Omelet
    Di H.

Great breakfast place, family operated on top of that. Came here due to the reviews, was def worth it. We got corned beef hash, Chile Verde omelette, pancakes and avocado toast. The Chile Verde was great, salty and flavorful with a slight spiciness. Combined with the omelette, it was a great treat in the corn tortillas. Beef hash was solid, albeit not too special but the hash brown was crunchy. Pancake was fluffy and decorated with banana and strawberries. Don't expect rush service and enjoy.

This place is not fancy, trendy or hip. However if you want to go to a friendly cozy place with good food this is it! This is a welcoming family-owned and run place where they treat you like you are visiting their home. I enjoyed the hamburger with handmade patties that were juicy and flavorful. The only thing I would change is the bun as it got moist and was a little to soft to hold up to the hefty meat patty. The Salmon Eggs Benedict had generous portions the hollandaise sauce was particularly good and the accompanying hash browns were cooked to perfection being crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Sabores de Mexico! Bite after bite, I was transported. So many flavors and perfect presentations brought me back to great sensations, memories, and fantastic flavors of 40 years of traveling through Mexico. Warm greetings by the team resonated at all the right frequencies singing red white and green. Muchas Gracias y hasta Pronto Evarista's!

Super friendly and speedy service for breakfast and lunch. Cocktails aren't terrible or special - basic. On Sunday morning for brunch they have a duo performing Mexican music - really cute couple. It's small but we were seated quickly. I'd return.

Great service and food! My husband and I came here for breakfast one Friday morning. I got the crab Benedict and he got the rojo pork omelette, I can't remember what it was called lol. But they both came out amazing. We were super stuffed and left happy! We will be back!

This is a reason this restaurant is highly recommended and a nice hidden surprise. Authentic dishes and flavor and the cocktails are really great. The staff is really great, courteous and friendly.

FOOD: -lots of options -my salmon sandwich was delicious but the fish was a bit too dry 8/10 -salad was fresh and flavorful -my child's grilled chicken was also dry and salty. It didn't taste fresh at all. The broccoli served with the fries, while much appreciated, was way too microwaved and had no seasoning whatsoever. My daughter actually loves broccoli, but she didn't enjoy this broccoli. It didn't taste so fresh -other family member loved his pesto burger -others in our group really enjoyed their eggs Benedict -fair prices AMBIANCE: -incredible music played by friendly musicians -fun and colorful atmosphere -indoor and outdoor seating -dog-friendly establishment

I have been wanting to come to Home for years, but every time it would pop into my head to go for…read moredinner it would be 7 PM the same day and their reservations only. Finally it came into my head when my in-laws asked me where I'd like to go for dinner for my birthday! It's a small quaint indoor restaurant but outdoors has a large patio with seating too! We were sat at the round table which was quiet and intimate. Everything we tried was fantastic, the starters we had were the foccacia. It wasn't warmed which I would've preferred but it was still fluffy and tasty and served with sea lettuce butter which definitely had a hint of garlic, which always makes things better ;). Who doesn't love garlic?! The other starter we tried was the asparagus, loved it! Would totally order again! The portions were perfect for sharing for 4 of us as well. My entree I ordered the beef check gnocchi, they make their pasta in house and this was so rich and freaking tasty! Absolutely similar to a short rib. 10/10 recommend!! My husband ordered the CA strip loin, cooked perfect medium served with a garlic aioli and crispy potatoes. I got to try his and his was equally fantastic! My mother in law ordered the rock cod crudo and she shared with me as well, the chili oil really came out in flavor in the dish, it was plated beautifully as well. I think this would be a great shared appetizer for groups too. Father in law got the fried chicken, and WOW - an entire HALF chicken! So large, local chicken, fresh and flavorful. Desserts we had the pistachio pana cotta and olive oil cake, the panna cotta was FANTASTIC. You should absolutely order this if you have room! The service could have been quicker, but she was still attentive overall dining time was about 2 hours which is long in my opinion and we could've ordered more beverages and upsold us but overall this place is a must try! You will not be disappointed!

Cauliflower with pine nuts and currants. Papardelle. Beef cheek. Pork chop. All. So. Good! Absolutely cannot wait to come back and try many more things!

I had the spicy Devil's Ginger vodka martini with the calamari appetizer and with dinner, the Lava Top Sauvignon Blanc ($13), a perfect complement to the swordfish. My swordfish was perfectly sautéed in a tapenade beurre blanc sauce ($40) with deliciously creamy and decadent polenta and buttery chopped bok choy. The way they served the bok choy was perfect- never change it. It was artsy, buttery and didn't look wilted. My son had the grilled boneless pork chops (two boneless chops) with fries and smoky beans ($28), loved. He devoured the berry fruit crisp à la mode for dessert ($12) and I had two small bites: It was like granola over compote with ice cream. I didn't complain. The best part was the incredibly flawless service. We could have felt rushed dining since it was towards the end of service. Instead, Genevieve paced the meal perfectly so we felt spoiled and unrushed. Next visit I would love to dine in their "secret garden" courtyard; it was beautiful. Having done that, we all agreed, we were a bit underwhelmed, and would probably stick to Vim in the future. I will say, start to finish, their service was great. It's easy to have great service when the place is so small, but that doesn't mean everyone does. Service was great. I was rather less impressed, though, given how relatively small the menu already was, and how early in the evening we were there, that they were already out of several things, including the only appetizer I had personally been particularly interested in trying, so we just ordered entrees. The booth table we were sitting at also felt a bit cramped - the tables by the window looked a bit nicer. They did bring complimentary bread - but we also all agreed that their complimentary bread was almost, though not quite, inedibly salty. I definitely did appreciate, at least, given that obviously all their wine is going to be expensive, at a place like this, that they did have a fairly substantial selection of local craft beer, including multiple local craft ciders. If I had been more impressed by the food, I would definitely have been super happy about that. Cider is so versatile, and not on nearly enough menus.) Anyway, I tried their braised short rib dish - it was... good. I think that's really the best way to describe it - I enjoyed eating it, but I still have random memories occasionally how great a short rib dish I had several years ago at Vim was, and I really don't even remember exactly what this one was garnished with or anything. I had no complaints, but there wasn't anything about it that would make me specifically want to come back, nor to have that amount of money spent, even if it was my parents', when they could spend it elsewhere. (My mom made similar comments about the fish entree she ordered.) That said, since we didn't order any appetizers, we did have room to share a dessert, their panna cotta with fruit, and we all agreed, the dessert was definitely the highlight. Excellent panna cotta.

The butternut curry polenta was genius and flavorful, yet needed a dash of salt. The beet greens were tender. The pomegranate sumac gastrique was yummy but there was wayyy too much and it was overly sweet. The Maitake mushroom itself was crunchy but could use some finishing salt. From a visual perspective, it was brightttt and beautiful but I wonder if being able to see the top of the mushroom would have been more appealing to the eye than the base stem. When trying all the dish's components together, the flavors danced and invited curiosity, especially with the bite of mint. A little more salt and just a drizzle of the gastrique would balance the dish perfectly I can tell the chef had fun crafting the that dish as it was seemingly the most expressive one, definitely worth a try! This last experience dining we decided to try out a bunch of starters to share and drinks. The pitcher of beach don't kill my vibe was really good, it's like pink lemonade. I think it is premade because it came out very quickly. The crispy pork belly was the best thing we had, 10/10 recommend. It is sweet, and the mustard greens go great for a bitterness. It was such a flavorful dish. The foccacia is also delicious, it came with 3 pieces and it's warm and crunchy but soft! I really liked the shrimp cocktail, the waitress said they poach them and the texture is like buttery goodness. I swore I tasted a smokiness to them too, they definitely had some sort of seasoning on them. Would get these 3 items again!! I wasn't that into the bean and leek soup, wasn't very flavorful and I didn't finish it nor order this again. My friend also got the clam chowder and he didn't like it either, it was watery. The soups were a miss here. The calamari wasn't the best either, it's a light batter but not seasoned, the cocktail sauce was good though. Had lots of horseradish! Our server had a great personality, she was outgoing and didn't make anything awkward when we let her know we weren't feeling the soups. She handled the situation well and with grace. I would give this a 3.5 stars! I still enjoyed my meal and will return in the future.
