I had one of the best burritos I've ever had here. The staff is incredibly friendly and the redwoods on the outdoor patio are absolutely stunning! Highly recommend.

This is our new spot for dinner for a great price. We decided to enjoy the outdoor seating today. Very spacious! Looks like it would be good for a party. Food has been great! Service was attentive. I was a little thrown off when the server didn't bring the check to the table but asked us to pay with the handheld? We wanted to pay cash, would be nice to give guests the option and to review the check. Cash is better for business anyhow. We are looking forward to the next date!

Finally got a chance to try out this New Mexican restaurant located at the former Casa Nostra location in Ben Lomond. It was a wonderful experience. The food was fresh and delicious. We were seated outside since it was a warm evening on a Tuesday. In the past, we have usually chosen to sit under the trees or in the patio area on the other side of the building. Apparently, they don't open that side during the week. Hopefully as their popularity grows...that will change. We were seated outside. They brought us water, chips and salsa. They do not have alcohol yet. Hopefully, soon. I had a fish and shrimp taco. My partner had the Chili Colorado with pork. Both were served hot and fairly quickly. Everything was tasty. Looking forward to get the Seafood Soup. Nice local new choice.

Perfect location with beautiful outdoor sitting area and amazing food. I was not a big fan of Mexican cuisine, but this restaurant changed it for me. Chimichangas are addictive.

The food is the best I've had in ages. The prices are inexpensive and plenty of food on the plate. We go at least once a week.

Awww these reviews make me sad because this place is awesome! I have been here 3 times…read more The first time I went with by boyfriend and it was so nice we had to come back. Erica the bartender helped us at the bar with food and drinks. The second time I was engaged and I wanted my engagement party there. We set it up by the couches with "Happy Engagement" sign, "she said yes" napkins, Ring straws and Ring balloons. We all talked, took photos, had mimosas and brunch. Everyone was attentive and just had an amazing time. about 20 people showed up. The third time we went to the pool with 3 kids. It was a bit pricy for 5 people with food and drinks. It also did take a little long like 30 minutes for drinks but it was fun and the pool was warm. They brought out a pretzel that was rock hard. When I told them they quickly brought me a new one that was soft.

Last yr I spent many sunset evenings w/o ever being asked to leave .. guess they thought I was a member. I asked her about happy hour food and she said happy hour is in the bar... I told her I wanted to check out the happy hour and went inside -she should have informed the pool closes at 5 at that point. I said hi to the bartender and inquired of the happy hour and that I was enjoying the pool. He then informed me at the bar to get happy hour prices I had to eat in the bar and that I could not take my happy hour food outside to the pool. The young man at that point should have informed me of the pool closing at 5 as well. I ordered. 2 tacos and grilled shrimp and it took 52min to arrive. I asked the guy bartending twice if he ordered my food. I got back to the pool. It was a few minutes after five after jumping into the pool the nice attendant informed me the pool is closed. I got charged $ 35 x2 for two people to not use the pool because I went inside to get happy hour food. A lot of non communication A lot of taking advantage of peeps unaware ! Not cool

Service is next-level friendly (they're basically homies), and everything comes out quick without cutting corners. I somehow remember everyone's name... except Alex? (Is it Alex? Sorry, man. I'll get it eventually.) The ambiance is like your favorite slightly-chaotic dive bar--mounted animal heads and all--but way cleaner. No shade Monty. The music swings from emo to Shania Twain and somehow always works. There's solid outdoor seating if inside isn't your vibe. I've learned how to play Mario Kart on their little TV, discovered I don't hate Cats, and even squeezed in some laptop time (WiFi's a little iffy, but there are spots nearby if you need it). Honestly, this place is kind of epic--and it's because of the staff and guests are SC beasties and beauties

Sea for Yourself…read more Eponymously named bar featuring the beers of the namesake that shares a space with bakery/eatery (Emerald Duck, which has a separate Yelp page, fwiw) and is located in the historic Cremer House (remember this now). The Good: * Friendly bartenders * Large shared parking lot with Wild Roots * Beers are as fresh as it gets, as they're brewed just a few miles away in Santa Cruz. * Full bar with liquor, if you're not here for the beer. * Food at the Emerald Duck is fantastic. Definitely come hungry. * Large dog-friendly outdoor seating The Meh: * I don't know why, but I'm just not a huge fan of Humble Sea's Hazys. They're always just a little bit off for me, but with that said, I'm a picky b¡tch when it comes to Hazys. So take it fwiw. The Ugly: * We tried visiting here once before but got scared off by the signage in the parking lot that states something to the effect of "Parking for Wild Roots Market and the Cremer House." Well, we had no idea what the "Cremer House" was, so we got scared of getting towed and dipped out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Conclusion: Beer and burgers. 'Nuff said...

3% fee for credit cards…read more I highly recommend the distillery tour. Book it in advance. It's super informative and fun. Afterward, there is a tasting of each spirit; however, the pours are very small; about 1/4 ounce of each spirit. It's such a small taste that it's not much more than "smelling" the gin. Which is fine. They make a total of 21 spirits, including 7 whiskeys. Highlights: For their gin, they use Lambic potstills; they have no column stills with baskets. Since they only use potstills, they macerate all the botanicals; it's a "wet" gin. Gin 01 is the flagship, and loaded with lavender. They sell 10000 cases per year. It's available at Whole Foods state-wide, and at the Santa Cruz Costco. Costo sells Gin 01 for $28, a significant discount from the $34 price at the distillery. Gin 01 works best with floral and citrusy cocktails like a corpse reviver #2. Gin 02 is a lightly barrel aged gin. It's aged for 2 months, and each barrel gets used twice. The gin is infused with bay leaf, sage, and fennel: it's more savory. They use bay leaf foraged at Delaveaga park, and they get sage and fennel from a farm nearby. I detected a cedar flavor. It's better with heavier cocktails, like a Paper Plane. They do seasonal gins: One for each season. For gin and tonics served at the distillery, they make their own tonic: it has a lavender note. It also uses chinchona, bitter orange, grapefruit, and elderflower. They have blue agave spirits. They get agave from farms in Yolo county. The farms do the pit roasting for them. The blanco tequila uses champagne yeast. The reposado spirit is aged for 11 months. Their mezcal is more peppery, less smokey. For whiskey: - They have a Port barrel finished whiskey that is really tasty. - I thought the rye was very sweet. - For their peated whiskey, they use malted barley imported from Scotland. Their single malt uses a crystal malt. Overall, it was a very fun visit.
