I was looking on yelp for live music and this place popped up. There was no live music the night I went but none the less it's still a bar! Immediately as I came in, a "fight broke" out with some locals. It got settled quickly but it kept me on my toes the remainder on the time there. Drinks are cheap and the darts were free which was amazing! Billards are $1 a game but only take quarters. You can get change from the bartender. They even have some pin ball machines. Lots of locals and bikers at this bar but it could just be the day I went who knows. I love the interior of the place, as it has so many random things hung up everywhere. It gives it character. Also a back patio which is nice. Clean bathrooms too! Very dive bar like! read more

Extremely rude bartender, one of my friends didn't tip and she yelled out "If you don't tip me next time you're not getting sh*t". You can be upset if you didn't get tipped for providing bare minimum service with a bad attitude, but publicly shaming the customer? Sad that this is what the tipping culture has come to. Drinks were mediocre. Personally, I would stay away and support another establishment without entitled workers. read more

Friendliest bar in town! Three pool tables! Four dart boards and a private dart room! Has a private gaming room too! With two pinball games and two old school stand up games. Cocktails in a pint glass is the norm here! TV's from all angles! No smoking indoors anymore, thank God! But if you must you can smoke out back in the new fenced in patio (thanks to Covid). There is also an area on the side where you can escape for a smoke or some fresh air. The juke box is always going at this bar! Good luck getting in the queue. Was out bar hopping for St.Pattys day and we started at a quaint watering hole by the name of Callahans. It was a real chill spot and you can tell the patrons were regulars there because how familiar everyone was with one another. The have a giant foam Jinga and 2 pool table for your beer drinking entertainment. I also had the pleasure of sitting on one of the most comfortable couches I've ever sat on...no lies. I only had beers so I can review their drinks. BTW! There's like this hidden bar behind the bar. It's a hidden speakeasy that I'm going to rent out one of these days. Oh they had free pastries. Pastries for the win. I do recommend Callahans and look forward to my next visit. It was a nice escape from what I'm use to in Cupertino, Campbell and Santa Row. This is simply a great local spot away from all the tourist BS. Unlike what I experienced at a pub near the boardwalk, People working here were genuinely friendly with great attitudes. There are a couple of pool tables and a shuffle board to entertain yourselves. Or just sit and listen to the locals having a good time. We even found it amusing they actually had a couple of couches to sit on. Simply put, this is a laid back location to enjoy an adult beverage. Callahan's is the kind of neighborhood bar that made the t.v. show "Cheer's" so popular. It is a place to come where people know your name and if not, they will by the end of the evening. Walking through the front door, you are greeted by a big, stone hearth and roaring fire.which is so welcoming during the "winter" months. Rachel, the Owner, is generally around with a big smile on her face and if not, she has a "posse" of beautiful women making everyone feel at home. She has changed Callahan's from a "hole in the wall", "dive bar", "biker bar" to a place where EVERYONE feels comfortable. It's large enough to hold pool tournaments (every Wednesday night at 7p), dart leagues, fundraising events and holiday celebrations (great for office parties) yet the big, overstuffed chairs sprinkled throughout add a feeling of intimacy. The whole staff are super engaging, fun, social and eager to please, making an array of exotic cocktails, many times bringing fresh fruit from their own gardens. The beer is always cold, excellent for watching your favorite teams on any one of the 6 flat screens T.V.s perfectly positioned throughout. This bar has become a holiday tradition as my in-laws live down the street. My fiancé and I like to come here for a few beers (and MUCH needed alone time) and we're always greeted by friendly staff and fellow patrons. Today is Christmas and they have a smoked turkey that the bartender made with all the fixings. Nice folks bought us some shots and another drink. We were passing through town and saw this place near where we were staying for the night. Decided to stop in and have a few drinks after a long day on the road. Music was from a jukebox which had an excellent playlist. The place wasn't packed (it was a Wednesday night), but seemed to have about dozen people who looked like they came often. Bartender was very friendly and took drink orders quickly. Prices were good, $4 for a pint of Fat Tire. Smoking inside and people definitely take advantage of it, so be forewarned if this bothers you. Oh, and the Yelp profile says "Accepts Credit Cards: Yes", but they were only taking cash when I was there. I'm not sure if this is a change in policy or if the machine was broken. read more

Went in there to get a drink after a long day of dealin with people looking for solstice in a friendly bar that pours a good beer. lol and behold I arrive here to be greeted by a rude bartender that served me and my company half glasses of foam. When my girl asked him "I don't want to pay for foam" he promptly responded with an asinine excuse saying "if you KNEW anything about beer, the foam releases an aroma that's essential for the taste". It was still foam, and I was so confused. Why am I paying $21 for 3 pints and shot, and then pours me the lowest shot I seen out of spite. The local bar for your hard working blue collar folks. I was really impressed with the HD tv screens. If you like pool, they have 3 tables in good shape but i'm a dart player and I wish there were more than two boards but... Biker friendly but seems to cater more to the neighborhood now. My friend and I dropped in here pretty late last night for a night cap. It's a dive bar, but it was nice. We were greeted by a dog, which was awesome. Also, the bartender was super sweet.
