The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was really good, and the Bolder Creek setting is beautiful. The room, with all the rustic wood is acoustically perfect for sound. If it wasn't a tavern, it would make a perfect room to build a recording studio. The local and visiting patrons and dancers were engaging, warm and enjoying the music. About a half hour before we were to end at 11, a wedding party strolled in and when 11 Rolled around they asked us if we could keep playing. We gave them another 35 minutes of music and they thanked us for making the last hours of their special day so special. Henflings is a great venue run by first class people. I highly recommend it.

It is really rare for a Californian brewery to nail the euro styles. They nail it here. Split an appetizer from next door (different review) and the upscale vibe of the food really went well the high quality beers here. They also have full liquor but it isn't upfront or obvious. I think this location is kinda new as I don't remember it 2-3 ago when I last visited this town. But next time I do visit I'll probably make a ritual stop here to inaugurate a weekend stint.

If you're eating here, it can also be highly difficult to find a table since they are packed. All on top of a slightly long wait time. Hours are a bit weird too, so be sure to check on that prior to making the drive.

We chose to sit in a booth in the dining room. Service was great from start to finish. I had the Ahi Salad, and it was perfect--fresh, flavorful, and just what I was looking for. A very nice stop for lunch, especially when you're dressed up and don't want to feel like you wandered into a casual roadside restaurant.

Empire grill offered to label all 12 sandwiches. That was very thoughtful and helpful. We didn't have to spend time figuring out which entrees belong to who. Everyone was very happy with their orders. We had pesto chicken, patty melt, crab shrimp, roast beef, club sandwiches, pasta kid's meal and so much more. Thank you Empire grill for making our picnic a great one.

Oh, Joe's. So many mixed feelings, yet I think I love you. It's a dive, obviously, but where else am I supposed to go this far up in the mountains? They have 2 pool tables and darts here. Super friendly people, someone always buys me booze. If they served french fries I think they'd make a killing with the drunken crowd. read more
