It's been years since I've been to Casa Orozco! I used to frequent the Livermore location on the regular and always loved the vibe, drinks and menu options. Visited for a weekday lunch (1pm) and the bar was busy with about 8 tables of customers dining. This location is equally spacious (as their other location) with the various sections for dining along with a patio area. Nicely decorated with talavera pottery/artwork throughout that it transports you to dining in a hacienda far away. Items ordered: :: Caesar salad with carne asada - meat nicely seasoned and prepared :: Alteno Burrito with beef - I really appreciate a place that adds the lettuce, sour cream and guacamole on the outside vs having limp lettuce, watery sour cream and cooked guac - burrito was delicious :: Fiesta Sampler - good variety of items along with a homemade chipotle ranch dip - hit the cravings We all enjoyed the food and Claudia, our server was friendly and attentive. We went on a friday for dinner date cause they advertise they have live-music and the wait was close to none. The live-music scene was so disappointing, the band played maybe for 30-40 mins and it felt like they were playing recorded music. After we were seated, it took them 45 mins to get us water and get our order after being told multiple times. Terrible service! However food was amazing! We loved their veggie fajitas. Hence 3 stars. Never again. Worst customer service ever. My husband wanted to come here for Father's Day. From the moment we were being seated, we were being treated rudely. As we were placing our order, my daughter requested carne asada instead of beef tacos, the waiter got all rude about it but was still taking orders from the rest of us. He went to every other table checking in on them during the evening, except ours. We had to ask other staff for salsa and drink refills. MY FINAL STRAW: MY SON WAS SERVED PORK INSTEAD OF BEEF. We don't eat pork, ever due to our religion. A server came by and realized that my son got the wrong order. The waiter who seated us and took our order never even came by. I asked for a manager and believe it or not, he was a manager. I believe his name is Fortino. Told him my son was served pork and how he never bothered to check on us once. Came here after work to catch their happy hour special and it was not too bad. We started of with their happy hour watermelon margarita and pina colada, both drinks were okay. The drinks were not that strong in my opinion. They serve us chips and salsa on the house and we ordered Al Pastor Tacos (4) which was part of their happy hour. The tacos was ehh, meat was dry. Ordered the 3 item combo, which I got the chile relleno, enchilada and flauta. I thought that they were okay, the chile relleno had a thick batter which I don't prefer but still good. Enchilada sauce was good and flauta was okay. My friend ordered the Chile Verde, which was really good!! We came around 3:30 pm. on a Saturday and it was busy. The server was very nice and attentive despite being 9 of us. And they were very accommodating after I said two of us had back issues. We sat on the long booths. That said, I chose the New York steak with veggies. I had asked for it well done, but it was still a little pink inside. But that's ok. It was juicy. After driving by this Mexican restaurant for years and have tried all the places surrounding, I longed for a traditional place with traditional fare. Well, I found it. 100% packed on a Saturday night. A small front waiting/seating area with an ample bar, and 3 rooms filled with diners. On a warm day or night, you can dine outside, nice! Great vibe, loud, and it has the "it" factor going on. Food was great. I got the chile verde with rice and beans, super tender and flavor. Gf got the steak fajitas and loved it. Kudos to the chefs. Our server was great, very nice and we joked. But, all in all, service waned. He was very sparse. We asked and he said the computers are down so the ordering/pickup from the kitchen was a mess, and apologized for everything taking so long. Well, understandable. The restaurant hasn't changed much since I have been here might need to work on cleanliness the floor under our table had a puddle of water. The service at the beginning was fast and you couldn't find anyone to refill drink or chips which is where they can improve. The food was good though. Salsa was ok. I have an 84-year-old mother that lives with me and I have to be very careful eating out. Although a lot of people have moved past Covid, I still have to be very cautious who I'm around so that I don't bring any types of sicknesses back home to my mom. This is my first time at Casa Orozco and I must say that the staff was not only accommodating, but also I want to give a special shout out to Daniella and Chuck for taking care of me and my family. Not only that the food was freaking amazing! My wife wants to go back over and over again because she loves the food. I ordered the Carne Asada meal with beans and rice and the corn tortillas. The meat was so tender and melted in my mouth with the flavor that just burst it with awesomeness. I haven't had a steak like this for a long time! The food is amazing! The staff is amazing! The food was great and tasted delicious. Our server wasn't initially busy and he still was hard to find...or he'd pass our table up. It was odd. As it got busier and we had finished dinner it took forever for our server to bring us the check and clear the table. I mean longer than normal even when busy. I absolutely adore Casa Orozco, specifically this location. Originally, I started coming here out of convenience for lunch and fell in love with the ambiance, and Mexican decor. The employees of Casa Orozco are some of my favorite people, especially Fortino! The warmth and welcome I feel each and every time I come here keeps me coming back. The menu is huge and the chefs have no problem modifying dishes upon request. I frequently order cucumber jalapeño margaritas and I've put several friends onto them as well! BEST DRINK with the spicy rim. Refreshing, FRESH, and not too sweet. I typically start with chips and request their "spicy" salsa. My partner loves the Birria tacos and I typically get a vegan burrito with fresh avocado and Jalapeño. The portions are generous and I often take food home. We had a nice time listening to the band and enjoying the evening. Our server, Crystal, was wonderful and attentive. Since the band was quite loud, she repeated back and confirmed everything we said which I really appreciated. I came quite hungry and ordered chicken fajitas for myself - it was very filling and flavorful. My husband ordered a regular wet burrito and it was the perfect portion for him. Lastly, I had a mango margarita which always hits the spot! The restaurant has really kicked it up a notch since the last time I visited (few years ago). I keep giving this place a chance. I use to go to the Livermore restaurant when the grandfather was still alive and he and his food was amazing but unfortunately, it has gone down hill. The food was meh. My friends ordered the fajitas and their rice was cold and the meal was warm. It didn't come out sizzling. The liked the flavor of the fajitas but it was warm at best. Some of our party ordered horchata and it was flavorless. The Al pastor was too salty and warm at best. I ordered the pozole but got another verde steak soup BUT was a happy mistake because it was tasty. The bar looked lively and the drink looked good. The tostada was crispy and airy--tasted flour base. I enjoyed the dish however my only complaint was that at the bottom, there was too much beans. Our ten-strong TriValley Fam stopped by for dinner after breaking out of prison earlier that evening (at Zscape Games - see previous review)! We were famished and thirsty, and placed our food and drink orders as soon as we were settled into our comfy chairs at a long outdoor table under the warm heat lamps on the Casa Orozco patio. The service was good. The wine, sodas, and pitchers of house margaritas (served with glasses generously rimmed with salt), were served right away, and we dug into the guacamole-filled tostadas, shrimp ceviches, and salsa and chip platters while we waited for our entrées. We ordered too much - our eyes bigger than our stomachs - and ended up taking most of our food home - tacos Al pastor, chicken chimichangas, cheese and garden quesadillas, and lots of rice and refried beans. The food was mediocre, but the excellent ambience and service made me round up this review from 3.5 to 4 stars. And of course, those amazing house margaritas! read more

I had the steak fajitas and they left a little to be desired, but I'd get it again as it was filling and a good bang for the buck. We felt rushed the entire time even though we waited for almost an hour for our food to come. Then she tried to take my friend's plate from her at least two or three times while she was still actively eating dinner. We came here on a Saturday night. There was no wait to get a table. We were asked if we preferred indoor dining or outdoor dining. We chose indoor and were brought to a table that hadn't been wiped down yet, in which we had to tell the hostess to clean or have someone clean it before placing our menus on the dirty table. She apologized and went to go find someone to clean it. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, which as I have pictured that was NOT at all in a pitcher because there was no spout so it spilled all over our table every time we tried to serve ourselves which was very frustrating. Not sure if they just so happened to be out of actual pitchers on this Saturday night, or if that's the way they serve them. If that's the standard i definitely will not be ordering pitcher margaritas here again. We brought this up to the server, which he tried to tell us it is 3-4 servings which was not the issue we had. The issue was the vessel was NOT a real pitcher, therefore a quarter of our "Pitcher" ended up spilled all over our table every time we served ourselves. Very upsetting and our server didn't even answer the question of whether this was the "pitcher" standard or if they were out of real pitchers. We ordered Luis' Tacos. Pretty simple item of chicken and melted cheese that came with some mildly spicy salsa. We also ordered Fajitas which were enjoyable. The guac, salsa, and beans came in cute edible taco type boats. Overall was an average Saturday night experience. The most frustrating being the margaritas "pitcher" that wasn't a real pitcher with a pour spout. read more

Came here for a work lunch and sat on the patio. It was a nice day and the server did his best to accommodate our large group. The guacamole was and the chips were the perfect level of crispy. I didn't get a chance to try the salsa for the table but everyone said it was good. I ordered from their lunch combo menu and got a chicken enchilada. It was delicious! The sauce was flavorful and the shredded chicken was tender. I love rice and beans in any form so the giant mounds was a big plus. I also got an iced tea and modelo negro.
