Casa Nuevo is a nice spot for a good dinner. Nice interior and prices are a bit higher than other Mexican restaurants, however the food ingredients are much better. Fresher may be the word. Chorizo chicken and a chicken fajita were our orders. Along with a half pitcher of Margarita. Chorizo chicken had plenty of flavor and was good. The fajita was ok, but bland. Came here with family for an impromptu dinner. There were 7 of us that included a baby. They easily accommodated us. The bar is in the front and they have some rooms to accommodate diners easily. I got the spinach quesadilla that comes with soup. Both were very good. Quesadilla had a bit of spice that I couldn't figure out where it came from. It was good though. My friend and I stopped by Casa Nueva on a Friday night, and everything from the service to the food and atmosphere was really solid. We were given chips and salsa almost immediately after being seated, which was very nice. All the staff we talked to were super friendly, and our server was great. Tried this for the first time. So glad we did. The service was great, the food was so delicious, and it was Monday - so the $5 margaritas were also really tasty. My wife and I are vegan and they had multiple options. They also have many gluten free options if you want or need that. Plus chicken, steak, shrimp vegetarian ... something for everyone. The white rice with cilantro was perfectly fluffy and sticky and the fresh cilantro added wonderfully to the flavor. The complimentary chips and salsa are really good too. I asked for a side of hot sauce and I received some of the best homemade sauce I've ever tasted. It's a great menu with so many choices as well as ala cart options. We ate here tonight with my wife and one of my daughters. First, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the ambiance. The decor was beautiful, and they had soft soothing music playing very quietly. It felt warmer and more inviting than most Mexican restaurants. They brought out chips and salsa immediately after we were seated, and the chips were nice and warm. I ordered the Dos Amigos Burritos (two burritos, one beef and one chicken). After our first visit, we wondered why we waited so long to eat here. The servers were friendly and efficient. Went for dinner on a Wednesday night. I am not a fan of "American Mexican". Most of it is way to bland, prepackaged food - nothing like you would get in Mexico. Casa Nueva is not one of those places. They have taken an old Pizza Hut building and done a great job decorating the inside. Three dimensional wall behind the bar, wood, brick and corrugated metal. There are fake plants which aren't my favorite but my wife liked them. They were well placed to be fair. The bar is well stocked with Tequila and the main bartender has created a custom drink menu,. If you part take in adult beverages I highly suggest trying one of her creations. The food is good and not your typical burritos/tacos. They do have those and I am sure they are good but there are other dishes so come with an adventurous spirit. My only complaints are that the retired beans are uninspired. Better than most but nothing special. Also the rice was burst open, probably from cooking at too much heat, and also wasn't great. If they fixed those to issues I would give them five stars. If you are in the area give Casa Nueva a try! read more

Other side has a wide variety for f food offerings I went with my stand by chicken fajitas which comes with a side salad and choice of side. I chose the chicken soup Food came out quick which was nice. This was about 1pm on a Wednesday That were it got odd for me. The portions are right on for price in my opinion but I hot the typical skillet for f fajitas mixed with green and red peppers and Onion. There was nothing else with like a sour cream or salsa No offerings or m table either nor was I asked Salad was big but lacked an noticeable salad dressing. So I at two bites and moved on Soup had cut up avacado on it and was okay Fajita came with 3 tortillas I would not come back to dine in. Good quality authentic food. I've been here 3 times since it's opened and ordered takeout twice. The food is good and *authentic* which I think a lot of other reviewers are disappointed over. It's not cheap sloppy Americanized Mexican food. It is good quality and made with some grandma's recipes. The meat is seasoned well and cooked perfectly--but not seasoned to the point of overwhelming the meat's natural flavor. The tortilla chips are house made, thick, and perfectly crisp with just the right amount of salt. The queso is mild and creamy with just the right amount of heat. If you like REAL Mexican food, you'll love this place. It's not white washed and it doesn't try to be. I highly recommend the street corn dip--I crave it every day. Give this place a try! read more

I wanted to like this place so much and I'm hoping they can work out the kinks being a new place. Guacamole had zero salt. Corn esquite dip lacked salt. Pretty cool that you can get a Chile Relleno as a side dish for your entree but the tomatillo salsa was way too salty. Go easy on the club soda in the margaritas - a splash is all you need. We weren't the only ones who thought that - couple next to us actually sent theirs back. High five on actually producing a spicy camerones Diablo- not many places venture that spicy. Well done. Second time here and was looking forward to trying something new. Ordered the pozole verde. Service was good, but then after about 15 minutes I was told by our waiter they didn't have the pozole, would I like something else. So I quickly decided on their carne en su jugo instead. He had to check that they had that too, he then takes my order and then immediately brings out the rest of my families order. How did you not know until all their food was ready that you didn't have mine? So I watched my kids eat and my husband wait for me while his food got cold. He ordered the seafood poblano which said a poblano pepper stuffed with seafood, the seafood was lying on top of a sad pepper. Not as described. 15 minutes later my molten hot soup comes out. As I wait to be able to eat it, I notice the radish, cilantro, avocado and lime are all missing. They offer to remake it. I tell them no thanks. I don't want it since everyone else is done and I don't want to wait for it to be made again. They took away a full bowl of soup. I thought they would comp the late, incorrect meal I didn't eat. I've been wanting to come here for a while since I drive past on my commute to work. The parking lot is usually always pretty full. We finally gave it a shot about two weeks ago. It was a Sunday and we arrive right at 8 (they closed at 9). There was a nice bar area that was mostly filled and a few other tables. There was apparently some confusion about who was taking our table, and we sat without being greeted for what was starting to feel like an awkward amount of time. I was a little concerned this was a bad sign of things to come, but thankfully I was wrong. Our server was extremely apologetic, got us chips and salsa, and took our drink order. I enjoyed my margarita, which tasted incredibly fresh (not the artificial lime green crap you see at other places). My partner commented on the number of Mexican restaurants all on the same road, but Casa Nueva is very different from Pancho and Leftys (which is more Mexican inspired than authentic) and El Campesino (which is more typical Mexican American food). The menu at Casa Nueva is somewhat smaller but seemed more authentic. I ordered the chipotle chicken, and I pleasantly surprised by both the heat of the sauce and the fact that the chicken had been grilled. It was delicious, and I enjoyed the refried beans as well (perfect consistency and great flavor). My partner had tacos with a tamale on the side, and he also raved about his meal. We both said we'd like to come back here and try more things. I did think it was a touch pricy, especially considering that most meals only come with rice OR beans, not both. But I think this was a unique addition to an area that doesn't have a ton of sit-down options, and I appreciated that it wasn't like the dime-a-dozen Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

First time going. The place was packed and people looked like they were having a good time. We were seated quickly. The lighting is dim and the menu has very small print. No salsa and chips for those who care. Since they are new and the kitchen doesn't have their timing down yet it might be a good idea to serve some chips. The servings were smaller and lighter fare than most Mexican restaurants. You will not need a take home box. My husband's dinner came out at least 5 minutes before mine. Then they brought me the wrong order. The refried beans were my side and they are so runny that it is a good thing they come in a bowl. The beans were also cold. I was warned by a person I knew who was dining there also tonight to order the flour tacos because the corn ones fell right apart and it was very messy to deal with. The shrimp tacos had a lot of cilantro and a couple of shrimp but not much else in them. My raspberry frozen margarita was good and our waiter Jerry was excellent. Water pitcher for the table was nice, chips & salsa were tasty but no refills. My four enchilada dish was kind of tasteless but okay serving size. Service was a bit slow, they may have been understaffed. The most disappointing thing was the margarita. $15 for a "top shelf" drink that I could not taste or feel (I'm a light drinker) from a place with tequila in the tag line is unacceptable. If we do return again I'll try a different entree but order a beer. read more

Our third visit was yesterday. The menu is a lot to read and a large format, but I dealt with it. Got Al Pastor street tacos. They were very good and warm! The pork was small cubes and the pineapple is a good flavor builder in this taco. Soft corn tacos were yummy. Got the supreme service which included lettuce, tomato, sour cream. This made the dish extra tasty. I only could eat 2/3, took home the rest. Service was friendly and smiling. My other two visits were not as memorable as this one. A bit pricey, but the quality is worth it. You get a side with this dish. They never seem to have the cilantro rice, but I got the Mexican rice, my husband got the black beans. They were okay. Try this place three times, choose carefully, and you will find enjoyable dishes. Expect lots of four person booths, and a decent happy hour crowd with selections on the happy hour menu.
