This is an out of the way sparkling Little Gem of a Mexican cafe. I love the relaxed ambiance and deem the murals and decorations to be quite beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious, authentic flavors and styles. Today, I enjoyed the nopales y huevos sprinkled with freshly made salsa, with stuffed o rice and beans. The staff are authentically friendly, not pretentious or fake, but extending simple warm hospitality. Feels like eating at a family members house. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. My only wish for this place is that it was more on the beaten path. Until something reminds me of it, out of sight, out of mind, unfortunately for my taste buds. I highly recommend this place!

What a nice hidden gem of a restaurant that's tucked in the industrial part of Oxnard. Looking outside and seeing all the big rigs drive by was a pleasant sight to see. As for the food, here's what my wife and I got: Carne asada torta - Flavors were great but just wished the asada was a little softer. Huevos rancheros- my wife got this and she loved it. She said the dish was flavorful and tasted like it was home cooking. The service was great by the staff, and the inside was very welcoming and homey. Best of all the price was pretty good. Chalk one up for another foodie spot to come back to!

Fantastic little hole in the wall :) where the walls are all painted with a super cool mural Found this place on Yelp and am definitely glad I tried it, the food was freaking bomb with home made corn tortillas, the chorizo and eggs were so tasty we definitely added the potato's and shared it as a breakfast appetizer, the servicer was wonderful and she answers all of or question we had, a bunch of reviews said it had no view but I loved watching all of the truck back up, I will definitely be coming back to try the molcajete

The best chorizo breakfast you can get in Ventura County. No fuss. All flavor.

I've never done a review for this location, even though its been my favorite breakfast spot for over 15 years. But you should definitely give this place a shot. The Chile Colorado and chile verde are to die for. And my favorite of all time... Chorizo con papa y cebolla, with flour tortillas. Add the friendly staff, it feels like coming home.

Red Chili Cheese Enchiladas

We eat here almost every Sunday! This is the best place for a Sunday breakfast. Any day actually. My husband gets his usual and I try something new every time we go. The food is AMAZING! The environment and vibe is chill and so comforting. This is just like our favorite place in AZ. It's our home away from home. We love all the people that work there. The sisters are so nice and we love them. We bring our family here every time someone comes into town. Being a military family we love the stability and homey feeling of this place.

Food and Service was amazing! I got the pancake platter, and it was to die for. Pancake Platter: topped with crema and powdered sugar, with a side of fresh blueberries and strawberries, along with scrambled eggs, bacon, syrup and butter The overall ambiance is that of visiting your abuelitas house, where you're greeted with warm smiles, and delicious food! Casa Grande Cafe, is a hidden gem within the industrial area, and it is definitely worth the visit.

I would like to say that this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Oxnard. Aside from really friendly customer service the coffee is so delicious! The food is very authentic and the portions are just perfect. Donna is usually our waitress she is always so friendly and never forgets your order. When you go, don't forget to leave her a good tip She deserves it! Honestly if you need a Delicious cup of coffee and Mexican breakfast this is the spot!

I come here all the time I'm in Oxnard. I've tried many other places but not one can match the food and friendliness of this place. It's a family owned business and I love coming here because the food reminds me of grandmas cooking. Now that she's gone this is the only place that feels like home now. Highly recommend!!

Not for the faint of heart. This small restaurant is in an industrial part of Oxnard. Food is delicious, juice is fresh, and the staff spot-on friendly!

And let me tell you, when you're heading to an island for kayaking and hiking, securing food starts to feel less like lunch planning and more like wilderness survival strategy. The online ordering process, though, gave my husband a minor technological character-building experience. Not especially intuitive or user friendly. Then, on the morning of the trip, we weren't entirely sure where the lunches would actually appear. Tiny scavenger hunt energy. Thankfully, they were waiting for us at the ferry office, and we both immediately took the same relieved breath: "Excellent. We shall not perish on the island." The sandwiches themselves were genuinely delicious. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. Soft, delicious, and exactly the kind of reward you want after hauling yourself around an island pretending you're far more athletic than you really are. By the time lunch was over, I was happy, full, and fully prepared for the next round of kayaking and hiking. Which is really the highest compliment an adventure lunch can get.

Ordered coffee and took our goods down the street to watch the seals. Only ordered the drip coffee, nothing fancy here, but it was excellent. Good roast on the darker side, my only concern are the lids. Hot coffee filled to the top and as I lift my coffee the lid pops off sprinkling coffee as I tried to reach the counter to set it down. The lid didn't fit tight, so I asked for another lid. It stayed on as I walked to my table, but popped off again as I left. The strawberry custard croissant was flaky, smooshy and the berry itself was a marvel of ripeness and color. If you read my other reviews, I have a thing for chocolate croissants. This one was flaky and perfect looking and the honey on the shell made the layers of laminated dough even better. My first few bites were non-chocolate filled and filled with air pockets between the layers of dough. Once I reached the thin layer of chocolate, it was underwhelming. I may have to go back again and give it one more try.

I ordered some corned beef to be scrambled into my eggs which was tasty but $32? No way! I was not expecting that! And I honestly don't think it was worth it because half the meat was so fatty I couldn't even eat it. Yes HALF! Had it been lean corned beef all the way through? Then I wouldn't even bother mentioning it. Our server, bless her heart explained that the breakdown was $22 for the corned beef and $10 (I think) for the 3 eggs again the portion of meat I got was not worth $22. Owner/management? Please consider how you're charging your customers as well as the portion quality Still... I love the food here and recommend dining here for sure!!

We had a great Valentine's Day brunch at Hollywood Beach Cafe!…read more We joined the Yelp waitlist while walking over from our hotel and ended up waiting only about 25 minutes for a table around 10am, honestly impressive for Valentine's Day. The process was super easy and made the wait feel seamless. We were seated on the "outdoor" patio, which was absolutely delightful. It's covered, so it feels like you're inside, but it's still open-air and pup friendly, which we loved. They even have a pup menu and bring out little metal water bowls. Our doggo was living his best life. The menu is large with tons of options. We initially tried using the QR code (which is great because it includes photos), but ultimately asked for a paper menu, sometimes it's just easier to flip through. My husband ordered The California (eggs, bacon, and pancakes). This breakfast also comes with toast and your choice of potatoes. We upgraded to the chili cheese tots, thinking it was just a small upcharge from the standard side, and didn't realize until we got back to the hotel that we were charged $8 for them, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the tots were tasty (just eat them quickly because they cool off fast!). His eggs were cooked perfectly, but the $3.50 upcharge to add blueberries to the pancakes felt steep, and the bacon was mostly fat and a bit overcooked. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with poached eggs, and the eggs were absolutely perfect. The dish was bursting with flavor. My only critique was that the beans were a bit too liquid-heavy, which made the tortilla very soggy, I couldn't finish as much as I would've liked because of that. The Bloody Marys, though? So good. Highly recommend! We both loved them. Our server was pleasant and friendly. Oh and there was a Char Man hot sauce on the table that was EPIC! Overall, we would definitely come back, we'd just try a few different menu items next time... except for the Bloody Marys. Those are a repeat order for sure.

The pastry case was nothing short of stunning, with each item looking like a work of art. The croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery, the marble cake incredibly moist and balanced, and the pistachio pastry rich, delicate, and absolutely indulgent.
