Arrived in time to catch the music live music 5 to 8 or 9pm, place was packed, Had to wait 35 minutes or so for outdoor seating, met up with another couple and sat outside to enjoy the music. One couple split the fajitas variety plate had a margarita and a beer I had the chicken fajita plate and husband had the two taco combo plate and the house margaritas. Came here today with my elderly parents and it was a 10/10 before we even sat down. Front row handicap parking, flat rollable surfaces, and beautiful grounds! Then we see the menu that has 13 different margaritas and in 4 different sizes! Amazing! I had a Cadillac and a Fabulosom. Both were delicious. The food was great and the service was fantastic. I had a Sirloin steak with am enchilada that I've had 50 times at other Mexican restaurants. None were ever like this! The steak was like from a quality steakhouse. Hubby ordered Carnitas and I ordered Tacos Imelda both selections were prepared very well and tasted delicious with ample portion size and even took home leftovers . They are fantastic by the way! * made reservations a couple days prior with ease of the owner of the restaurant * for a rainy day it was a full house and busy...but I heard that this was a tame night. I can see why it's a happening place to go. * There is a stage space for the bands/entertainment. That's nice & better than entertainment being shoved in a corner as I've seen at other places. * The food and drinks were very good. We had the tortilla soup and Chamoy mango margaritas. Yummmo! Ate here for the first time last week. We were seated after a few short minutes in the dining room. This was nice because the bar area was packed. Our server Siarra was pleasant, prompt and accurate. She checked on us when needed and got us what we wanted. The food was not hot when it came out, just warm. It tasted good and the portions were huge. This place used to be a Cask and Cleaver Steakhouse, so it has a western/saloon feel to it. We look forward to returning in the future. read more

This spot is a gem in the town of Fallbrook! Friendly and attentive customer service. The outdoor space is lovely! Some drinks I highly recommend are their "Dirty Caddy" and i think it was their "mango chamoy margarita ". I feel the chicken and steak fajitas needed more flavor/seasoning. Other than that, this place is a nice welcoming spot for families to meet up and enjoy. read more

Been going there for years but will never go again. Very rude emoyee blocked my wife's car in the lot. He parked directly behind her. When I asked him why he blocked her car he said, "Don't give me attitude!" He then stated that she was stupid enough to park in "Staff" parking so he parked behind her. There is absolutely no signage indicating "staff only" parking. He stated that staff has been parking there for 6 years. Not quite sure how my wife was supposed to know that. The exchange between he and myself got loud and ended with him saying, "Leave you f..king drunk!" I had half of a margarita. Our party spent over $300.00 that night. Very unsatisfied overall with this place. I was so disappointed, because I really wanted to like it and was hoping it would be a place to frequently come to. The location is great and looks nice . Sadly our food and service was bad. The food was horrible, the beans were hard and we were even sick the next day from the food . The food lacked flavor and just didn't taste well. Our waiter was very slow and we couldn't even get refills on our drinks. Oh and the bathroom was disgusting. So dirty like it had never been cleaned. read more

I'm severely disappointed with the quality and presentation of their food, especially after all the rave reviews. Did we eat at the same restaurant? The service and decor are easily 5 stars. The bar is spacious and open--perfect for Monday night football, or a casual hang with friends. The service staff is sweet, friendly and mindful of making sure your drinks are full and also checking in with us to see if we require and further assistance. However, the food is where I have issues with this establishment. Like I stated earlier, based on the reviews (and pictures of food) I naturally thought it'd be fantastic. Looking over the menu, and unclear what to order, I decided to take our waitress' praised recommendation: the carnitas sliders for happy hour. My dad ordered the chicken/steak fajita platter. My sliders had some OK flavor, but nothing special. Looking back, there's nothing about them that would make me want to order them again. Plus, they tasted rather cold, as if they'd been sitting out for awhile. It's happy hour food, I figured. My dad's $14 fajita platter was completely lackluster, and receives 1 star. First off it arrived like a hodgepodge hash, completely mixed, and, for whatever reason, NOT on a sizzling skillet--I swear, 99.9% of ALL Mexican restaurants serve their fajitas on a nice sizzling skillet. LEt's be honest, ordering a Fajita = sizzling platter, and NOT a lukewarm plate of hash. That's what he received. My dad's food was only slightly room temperature. No sizzle. No steam. No pizzaz. Just a mixed plate of what can only be described as leftovers heated up in a microwave. Easily the worst fajita platter I've ever seen or tried. We're both not picky eaters, and generally love Mexican food, especially considering we've been in SD for more than a decade. Fun live music on a Sunday evening. My steak fajitas with added shrimp fed two plus lunch the next day. Food was tasty and good quality as well. The house margarita was nice and also not too pricey. Guacamole standard but fresh and good. Only issue was some strips of softer corn tortilla mixed in with the tortilla chips which I didn't like. Beautiful place, very spacious. The complimentary chips and salsa were probably the only highlights of this place. Unfortunately, the food doesn't taste like authentic Mexican food. The ceviche was very bland. I've never had enchiladas with cheddar before. I also got my order wrong but thankfully I wasn't charged the extra fee for the steamed vegetables so my guess is that it was a mistake from the kitchen staff (it's about a $1 or 2 more to substitute for steamed veggies). I'm very confused by the other reviews that rave about this place because you're all missing out on good, authentic Mexican food. This place just isn't it. Thanks Casa Estrella! I had an impromptu get together at my house yesterday for the 4th of July and didn't feel like cooking. I called up Casa and placed a rather large to go order. 2 trays of enchiladas, a tray of rice and beans, 2 orders of nachos and 15 tacos. They were super accommodating and had the order ready in 30 minutes. They reviewed the order with me several times to make sure they got everything and they did. I give it two stars solely for the mango-chamoy margarita. My husband got the strawberry and it was so strong and tasted terrible. The food was fine, what you'd expect in a basic Mexican restaurant like in Wisconsin or something. Nothing so good I'd ever want to go back. Service was so spotty and it did not appear busy. One of our favorites in Fallbrook. The overall ambience of the place adds to the delicious, fresh food to create a dinner experience that is both calming and entertaining. They frequently have live music but most of the nights we go are during the week so we can focus on the delicious entrees. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, the staff is kind and attentive and the overall experience is positive, time after time. After many years of enjoying dinner at the original Estrella's restaurant we decided that we were going to stop by and check out Casa Estrella's ( same family owned restaurant) on our next trip in that area. Well, I really wanted to like this place. Much bigger than the other restaurant and outdoor setting is nice, but let's be honest we're there for the Food and Mango Chamoy Margaritas. I ordered the house specialty Carnitas Flautas and my husband ordered carne asada plate both were soooo bland. We couldn't believe this was Estrella's recipes! Next, the margaritas.... Absolutely No Tequila! Mentioned it to the waiter and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Wow. The margaritas looked the same but was as if we ordered a smoothie that just left us feeling bloated So disappointed, two hour drive in traffic just to get let down. After waiting over 30 minutes for a table for four, we were seated in the bar at a tall table with bar stools. We are four people over 60 years old and can't sit at a bar stool any longer listening to loud music. We asked to be seated in the dining room and they said no. No explanations no nothing just know. When our waiter finally came Marco he said no as well they will put you at the bottom of the list and you'll have to wait all over again. Sounds like some BS to me but we were starving. Luckily the Margaritas were good but the food was average to say the least. My fish tacos were not great I didn't finish them and I couldn't get the waiter to take them away from me at the end of my meal. He never cleared the table and tell the check came. I will not be going back. There are way too many other Mexican restaurants in the area to try. I really had high hopes for this place because the outside and the grounds look really good oh well read more
