If you are staying at Casa di Sara, this is where you will go for the free Breakfast. It's just to the left of Casa di Sara's entry door.
This place is great. In ready the reviews it looks like the some of the Italians find it pricey, and it is for Italian prices. Three thoughts, 1) it's Rome, everything is expensive, 2) Relative to NYC, Dallas, SanFran, etc. it's not expensive - even with the exchange rate (.70:1 at the time), 3) great pastries, really good coffee and fun service! Just a note, when we were there you could have eggs or a pastry. The scrambled eggs were pretty runny. My wife liked them, but I would not have eaten them. You can get them any way you like, but if you don't like scrambled eggs you might want to go with the pastries... which are fantastic if you didn't catch that above!
I forget the woman's name, but she was Roman, spoke pretty good English with a thick accent and talk/sang to herself while making jokes with the patrons. The décor is tasteful chintzy, like Brooklyn Heights maybe.
And, the hallmark of any good eating establishment - the women in the group said the bathroom was nice and clean!
Highly recommend...... read more
