Came here around 11:30 on a weekday and it was packed but there was only a short wait. I loved the airy but cozy decor. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was outstanding. Each dish was simple yet flavorful. This restaurant focuses on the quality and freshness of it's ingredients. My favorite was a special with crostini, tomatoes, and anchovies (SO GOOD.) We also got 2 green smoothies which were so refreshing. a nice change from the pastas and seafood we had for 2 weeks in Italy. They also have original and handmade artisan ceramics sourced from all over Italy. I got 2 tea seats which were expensive but absolutely unique and stunning! This restaurant is located in the middle of the main street of Positano. Nice decoration and when we get there around 12.30, they weren't that busy. We ordered "Orzo con zucchine grigliate, avocado e mela verde" (barley shrimp avocado) and arugula salad with fried ricotta cheese. Both refreshing, healthy and filling. This was a hidden gem found on my last day in Positano! If I found it sooner I would have visited every morning! The vibe is beautiful! The space is bright and filled with pottery and knick-knacks! If you're looking for something other than the norm you find in town, head to the Bottega. A pretty restaurant that serves both breakfast and lunch. They advertise they are organic and have a juice bar as well. We came for lunch. I had their version of a quiche with ricotta cheese and zucchini. It came with a tomato salad with a pesto and olive oils drizzle. Ingredients were clearly fresh and it was the best lunch I had in Italy. The tomatoes were incredible. My dining companions ordered the chicken salad and the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich. Both raved like I did. A bit pricey for lunch but worth it. Definitely a must if you visit. We wanted something light for lunch and this place does the trick - bright and airy cafe with aircon and the food was amazing We each had a smoothie which hit the spot, both lovely (his was a pomegranate and pear and other stuff one, mine was based on apple cucumber and celery) and a salad each - his was 3 types of tomato and 3 types of mozzarella with a lot of lettuce leaves, mine was baby spinach with grilled zucchini and avocado cream inside cucumber rolls. Casa e Bottega has your fresh produce, salads, and sandwiches, all made with an italian flare. The owner, Tanina Vanacore, is one of the nicest, friendliest people I've ever met. She taught us all about her restaurant and told us that she's partnering up to open a restaurant in Manhattan! I can't wait to go try that out. All the kitchen staff speaks perfectly good english. 3 out of the 4 of us ordered the Salad Special (not exactly sure what it was called, we just saw someone get it and pointed at it). It has mixed greens, fresh figs, cantaloupe wrapped prosciutto, and mozzarella with oil and balsamic dressing. The mix of sweet and savory was put together to perfection. I bookmarked this place but I was not really sure where it was. We luckily stumbled upon it when we were exploring around Positano. We were also at the point where we wanted something else other than our wonderful Italian breakfast from our hotel. It is a half store and half juice bar/restaurant/bakery. The place is so inviting, invigorating and casual with fresh fruits and vegetables in the counter in the middle (see pics). We were seated right away and we were asked for our drinks. I ordered the cappuccino and hubby ordered Americano, the cappuccino was just right and good along with his Americano. Hubby ordered the tomato basil omelette and I had their strawberry cupcake with homemade whipped cream plus the yogurt bowl. Let me tell you -- I was so happy to be in that place!! The smell of the strawberries in the cupcake was surreal and it was just moist and with the whipped cream, it was crazy delicious - I'm craving it just talking about it. Then, the yogurt bowl. It was indescribably FRESH and yummy! The yogurt (basically thick smoothie) concoction of fruits and veggies was simply fresh and addicting. I wish I can bottle the essence of the fruits in Positano, they all smell so good and fresh. Hubby enjoyed his omelet as well, it was a good break from Italian food for him too. like other reviewers said casa e bottega was a fresh change from all the meats, cheeses and pasta we had been enjoying all throughout italy (don't get me wrong still love the meats and pastas)!! found the restaurant from great yelp reviewers and walked over after ending the Path of Gods- Sentiero degli dei hike and was super excited to get a fresh meal after a great hike. The restaurant is about a mile from the end of the hike after the stairs and was easy to find by gps. The juices are great but do run out since they are amazing and the chicken is unlike any chicken you have had. It is so simple yet when you taste it I don't even know how to describe it but it is fresh and very delicious. The salads are big in proportion and surprisingly very filling! Menu items are very reasonably priced and staff go above and beyond to ensure an enjoyable experience. On our first visit, Vito was happy to provide excellent directions to the Path of the Gods nature hike without local insight. On our second visit, the owner showed us various art pieces crafted by an exclusive local artist; we purchased a handpainted espresso cup with a dolphin handle. My wife and I spotted this while wandering around Positano. Light filled and fresh to look at, and the food was similarly light and fresh. We shared a spinach salad and a prosciutto panini. The salad was large and had these delicious cucumber rolls filled with creamy avocado. Yum!! The panini had two kinds of cheese and tomato with the prosciutto, lightly dressed with oo. I had a smoothie and chickpea croquettes. Both were fresh and good, but for the price they weren't THAT good. For about 30 euros, even given the location on the main drag in Positano, the croquettes were on the bland side (could use a flavorful sauce).
