I looked online and found that they were the highest rated restaurant in the area serving burritos. When we got there, we were greeted by a really cool young man who was kind and courteous and took our order. He made some recommendations- which we took, and we really appreciated. I ordered a steak burrito and my husband ordered a mixture of tacos. Everything was truly delicious. Their pico was fresh, the ingredients tasted fresh, the meat was well seasoned. It was nice seeing colorful entrees and colorful food. Colorful because of all the fresh ingredients, like the avocado, pico and the perfectly seared meat, corn tortillas that were bright yellow and perfectly toasted. The shrimp in the taco was snappy and very well cooked. Their horchata was soooo good. It was comforting and full of flavor. Their accompanying sauces also did not disappoint. The green sauce was spot on and the heat sauce was pretty good too. As far as ambience, that probably was the only way in which Best Taco was lacking. The place is a little incomplete looking. It could use some charm and cohesion, perhaps some upgrades. But besides that, service & food were phenomenal. I really enjoyed the food at Best Taco. I won't forget the food and will absolutely return.

Small, cute spot on Lancaster Ave…read more I thought the serving sizes were a little small considering the prices. Bowl (Al Pastor, Cilantro Lime Rice): The flavors of the bowl weren't too impressive. Although everything was well cooked, it was bland. I barely tasted the Al Pastor due to the other toppings in the bowl, the flavor would've stood out more if there was more meat. The cilantro rice just tasted like white rice. Quesabirra: Very flavorful! The Birria was tender and well seasoned. It paired well with the salty, tomatoey dip - the flavor of the dip tasted like a mixture of tomato soup and chili.

Ordering was easy- I looked at the posted menu for tonight's pick up and placed my order through direct message. I arranged payment and pick up time with Kylie who then let me know where to go for the pick up. She responds quick to messages so no worries! Pickups are Fridays and some Sundays so just ask!. I waited a short while at our pick up spot and Kylie came out with the box in a package and I was on the way! Oh my gosh the smell in the car was so good I almost pulled over to open it and start eating. But the smart side of me knows that I'm a messy eater and I just got my car vacuumed. Plus, I really try not to eat in the car as much as possible. Well, can you imagine the hunger when I got home! I remembered to take photos! Since I've never had from Mexico, authentic Birria Tacos, my experience is only what I've seen posted on social media and the plate I had last weekend. Plate presentation: +++ it is very nicely packaged didnt shift during the drive. Taco: still had some crunch to it and the shell wasn't greasy. Toppings: I used it all! Consommé: tasty but not salty. I liked the flavor! I did have a little spoon to scoop it into the taco but I also dipped it as I ate. Mess: I used 3 napkins but I didn't dribble sauce on myself and the paper wasn't soaked when I was done. I was a cleaner eater tonight... or maybe just ate fast. I don't know. The first taco I took my time squeezing the lime and opening the taco to put cilantro and onions and scooped some of the consommé then took small bites, dipping it as I went. The rest I just went monster and squeezed the limes over and basically devoured the tacos like someone was going to come and take it away. Did I like it!? What do you think?! I would definitely buy from Kylie again! In addition to tacos, there is also Birria Grilled Cheese so that is another thing on my running list of food to try. She is a sweet gal and I love supporting small business!

I thoroughly enjoyed the "get that corn outta my face" and was thankful to have the option for it in a bowl (otherwise I wouldn't have tried it.) it was a unique blend of flavors and textures that had me questioning the first bite or two, but the more I ate it, the more I liked it. (If you get the bowl, I recommend stirring it up first to evenly distribute the ingredients.) Service was prompt and courteous when they brought each of the meals to our table. This is a counter style establishment, so that was appreciated. The theme of the restaurant focuses on the Nacho Libre movie (menu items named after key movie points) and other movies focused on luchadores. It is unfortunate that the thumb wrestling rings never returned to the tables following Covid. This is a fun and laidback place to grab a quick bite. I love the quirky atmosphere and the delicious food. My recommendation would be to go during down times so you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere without the wait.

Beef Chimichanga good, but just straight up ground beef with minimal flair. Enjoyed Shrimp Chimichanga more since it was creamier & texture interrupted by chunky shrimp & bell pepper. Flavorful broth with diced tomato, a ball of soft, creamy, cheese, a sunken bed of rice, & fried tortilla strips that were soft but still had texture. Everything here is just a bit muted. You won't find strong flavors or lots of heat (the locals would never go for it) but food has fresh, homemade, simplicity that scratches the itch. Fried ice cream is a nice finish.
