I've been here a couple of times now, and am always a bit disappointed with the food. The chicken quesadilla was just ok - the chicken had a strange sort of barbecue flavor. The service is decent, and the inside is huge - a good place to take big parties because I've never seen it anywhere close to full. Food was absolutely amazing and delicious! And I want to first say that we will absolutely be back, the food was good, the whole area is cute and clean. We had a great time. The only issue we really had was a few mishaps with our food and order. They accidentally gave someone else our Margarita we ordered, (not a whole deal they made it again and brought it out to us), then they also forgot one of our food items. While it was a tad annoying, it didnt ruin the food or the night. It happens and they seemed to have had 2 birthday party dinners going on, so that could explain the forgetfulness. It happens! Food was delicious! Cheese Enchiladas with green sauce and we asked to add veggies inside and they did. It was great! Veggies were cooked perfectly and the green sauce was delicious! Steak and chicken fajitas were good, got the meal for 2 and they had 2 separate plates with rice and beans and guacamole. Attentive employees and our server was great as well. The food is actually pretty solid but the service was terrible. There aren't a ton of dining options in the town of Ridgecrest. I was craving for Mexican and saw that this spot had some good reviews. Decided to give a try before heading back to Airbnb. This seems to be a popular locals spot as there were several people waiting to eat inside. It was a very warm day, so it makes sense. Since most people wanted a seat indoors, I decided to sit out on the patio. Most of the patio space was converted parking spots (the COVID setup). Service started out slow from the jump. I sat at the table for a while without a menu. Finally a gentleman arrived to give me a menu and he brought out some chips and salsa. I decided to order a two item combination plate with a chicken enchilada and a crispy taco along with a banana margarita. Took a while for my food to arrive, but when it did, it looked yummy. The banana margarita was delicious! Didn't really taste much alcohol in it, but it was still tasty. The combo plate was overall pretty good. The crispy taco was very good but the enchilada was dry and could have used more sauce on top. The beans and rice were solid. Portions are really big and I ended up asking for a to-go box. So, this is when it really when downhill with the service. Nobody ever stopped back by my table from the time I got my food until the time I had to ASK someone for a box. When I asked for a to-go box, the guy took my plate and I assumed that he was going to box my food up. When he didn't come back for another 5 minutes, I got concerned. He finally came back but he was delivering food to another table. I stopped him on his way back to the kitchen and asked him where my leftovers were, and he apologized and said that he threw them away. Um WTF?????? I knew he could see that I was fuming! Why the FAAAACK would you throw it away? I clearly stated that I wanted a to-go box! Even if he was confused, I'm sure that he saw that only half the plate was eaten. Why would anyone throw a half eaten plate of food in the trash! What in the actual f*ck?! That's literally money down the drain. He didn't even offer to discount the meal or make me another to-go meal. Instead when I asked for my check, he brought the bill and NEVER CAME BACK TO MY TABLE TO GET IT! I was counting. 17 MINUTES waiting for him to take my card for payment! The fool never even came back out of the kitchen! I was already pissed about him throwing my leftovers away, and now this sh*t?! Luckily I had just enough cash to cover the bill. I slapped it down and bounded out of there. I mean woooow, way to ruin the evening! Because of this experience, I will never come back here again even though the food and margarita were pretty good. It's not worth it. read more

The food is decent and they give you a lot. I have been here for happy hour with friends and the service has been good but this time I brought my kids in for dinner and the service seemed nonexistent beyond the busser who brought our drinks. I almost walked out before our order was finally taken after sitting there for so long. There was no apology given. Then after finishing dinner, I asked if we could look at the menu so we could decide on dessert and the answer was, "No." and the server started to try to memorize the menu but couldn't, so then she asked if we'd like to see a menu, and me and the kids looked at each other like wtf? Anyways, when our check was delivered, the young man said he'd be back to take care of it when we're ready. I placed my card on the bill on the table and waited 15-20 minutes. He never came back. We got tired of waiting. I cannot recommend coming here with all the other Mexican restaurants in town unless you just want margaritas. read more

This is my favorite Mexican food place to eat in Ridgecrest! But the service truly is hit or miss. I've had great service and I've had extremely poor service multiple times. I got the buffet once and wasn't thrilled with that since some of the food I got was actually cold. That being said, I come here for the food, not the service. I've always enjoyed the margaritas I've gotten here too! The stuff ordered from the menu has always been delicious. Love their red enchilada sauce and their burritos are very good size! Recently split a Sampler Platter with someone and it was easily enough to feed 3 people. The bean and cheese quesadillas were soooo good. The 3.5/5 average is pretty accurate. What's a way to put it.... It wasn't bad food, but it wasn't great food. It was just 'ok'. In comparison to Olveras up the road, it has more space (if you have a big group) but service was slower, the food more expensive, and the food was not as good. The restaurant also felt kinda tired/worn. I'd eat there again if needed, but my opinion is 'meh'. read more

Casa Corona is a well maintained restaurant with good service and reasonable prices. The flavor of their food is average; neither great nor bad. The portions are big as we had to take home half the food we ordered. So if you have a big appetite, you will get your money's worth. If I could give a zero star rating I would. My husband and I came to this location when it wasn't busy and sat at the bar. The older gentleman working behind the bar never acknowledged us and kept speaking to the two gentlemen next to us. The poor young guy working at the front who was seating people was the only one helping us with our food and drink orders. When our drinks would be empty you would think the man working behind the bar would get us a refill but no he never talked to us or helped us we ended up having to wait on the other gentleman to help us who was working the other side of the restaurant . Last night my family ate ate casa Corona. Very upset as it has been a favorite of mine. Mexican food is my utmost favorite, I could eat this type food everyday. But not with soap or bleach in my refried beans, not sure which it was. I am a 28 yrs retired food service employee for sierra Sands Schools. This was a chemical contaminant! It should have never been served, thrown in the trash. The customer' that ate soap in their beans should have been watched, notified the next day to make sure they were not sick. A new meal or compensation should have been granted! This is very poor management!!!! I am a food service employee for the district 28 yrs. I know from experience this was so so wrong. Some of us left hungry. It will be a long long time till I go again. The thought turns my stomach. read more

My girlfriend and I came here for lunch and drinks last week. Six years I've been living here and this was my first time and boy do I regret not having tried this place before. They have outdoor seating which is perfect for the pandemic conditions. They have a huge outdoor fan which was really nice if you could manage to get a seat within its radar. We were seated promptly and our order was taken quickly. My friend got the mixed fajitas and I got the Mexican pizza with asada. We both also got margaritas - raspberry and Cadillac.
