Favorite mexican spot with a drive thru! Albertacos is one of my must-visit places every time I am in Ridgecrest. A perfect mix of authentic Mexican and fast food that I haven't been able to find anywhere else! The service is quick whether you do drive thru or dine-in. This visit I got the carne asada taco plate - not my favorite item on the menu. The beans were pretty bland, next time I will just get the tacos by themselves. My favorites on the menu are the breakfast burrito and carne asada fries. They are both HUGE and a great value! The interior of the restaurant is pretty bare-bones but kept clean, which IMO is all you can want for a cheap, delicious meal! read more

This is actually a solid place for a drive-thru experience. The service at the speaker is cordial, and the food is prepared quickly. I recently tried the Vista, CA burrito and it hit the spot. My kid had the machaca plate, and it came with a giant flour tortilla, which was fun lol. They have been consistently friendly, and you seem to get a nice sized portion for your money. read more

Came here for some good Mexican food, this place did not disappoint. They have the best tacquitos ive ever had. The food is homemade and very delicious. I've also had their tacos and enchiladas which are great as well. This place is always busy so that is a good sign. I'll be definitely coming back and trying something different. read more

It is sad how things have turned around. I ordered a machaca burrito and it was mostly green peppers. Barely tasted the meat at all. I've been there in the past and they used to be good. But their food quality has declined majorly. Need to find a new place in town for a good burrito now. read more

They sell other things here too with Mexican flair so I need to return! Mine, the chili verde had tender meat. A lot of beans. Updating: After initially giving them 5 stars I'm bumping it down to 2. I have been there about 3 times now and the rolled tacos are terrible. There's NO meat inside. At all. The street tacos are $2.25 a piece. That's a ridiculously high price for 1 taco with onion and cilantro. I'll stick with Olvera's or Bernadino's or Oasis. Long wait but that's to be expected. Food was delicious. Best we've had in Ridgecrest since moving here 2 years ago. And the price point is great! This will be our go to spot for Mexican food from now on! read more

I live about 5-10 minutes away from this place and kept wanting to try it. I finally went there and ordered fish tacos and an egg burrito. I made it clear no sour cream and no cheese. I got home and my two tacos got sour cream. I had to scrap it off and it ruined my night. The fried fish was not that special and something you could make from a bag of fish sticks from Albertsons. I guess since they are in Ridgecrest with only one or two other real options for taco shops they can continue to charge more while giving you less and less. Carne asada fries are almost 11 bucks now, however, the amount you get is less than half of what was given before. The burritos are mostly tortillas now with very little filling. Decided to try it out. Menu on the internet isn't up to date. But still it had the menu. We live 4 minutes away from this place. We drove there and gave our order in the drive thru. Picked up our meal and went home. Divided the carne asada fries between us plus we both ordered the California burrito. The fries were cold as well as the carne asada on it. The fries and meat in the burrito were cold as well. Flavor was very good which is why I gave it 3 stars. Even fast food chains keep their food warmer than this. Okay, some of these reviews are just ridiculous. One reviewer said something to the effect that they would give this place five stars if it was a restaurant, not a drive-thru. That's asinine to dock stars from an establishment because you are comparing it to something entirely different. However, how many drive-thru establishments have Kohler wash basins and faucets? This is my first. And the place is really clean all around. Another person complained that the street tacos are $2.25 just because they only have cilantro and onions. Let's get this straight; street tacos are tiny. They're meant to be tiny. And they're meant to only have onions and cilantros. If you have to pile on a bunch of ingredients to make up for the lack of flavor, you're not making a taco. You're making a salad with a tortilla foundation. These things are huge. I can fit two LA $1.25 street tacos (possibly two and a half) in one Albertaco's street taco. But what really matters to me is the quality of the food. I only had one asada and one carnitas street taco because I wasn't that hungry but I wanted to check the place out. I always use asada as the baseline because any taqueria worth a damn better have good asada. This place passes that test, for sure. I prefer the crunchier style carnitas, but it was still good. Give this place a shot, but it give it a fair shot. Maybe this review will change after I try all of the other menu items, but I'm glad I came and I wouldn't hesitate to come again. read more

Second time here. Came at suggestion of a work friend to try the carne asada so I brought my husband. The first time, I went through drive through. This time we ate in. I had the fish burrito with the tartar sauce on the side. My husband had the carne asada plate. He said it was dry/overcooked. We went to the drink station and no diet coke but that was because they had it near the drive through. I will go back. I would have the fish burrito again.
