We started figuring out that walking around Plaza Mayor, there are restaurants galore to choose from. Casa Castaña looked promising, so we decided to stop in.
The interior is beautiful with exposed rock and glass. I wish the food would have matched. It wasn't bad, but it wouldn't be my first recommendation either.
I had a burger and patatas bravas. I only ate about half the burger since it was very pink, bordering on raw in the middle. I have since found this is a normal preparation in Spain. Maybe ask for it to be better done if you prefer. The patatas bravas were fine, but not my favorite that I had while in Madrid. I did have a lovely white sangria, which wasn't overly sweet. I would get that again in a heartbeat.
