This restaurant might be a chain, but they serve some of the best Italian food I have ever had the pleasure of trying.
The bread starter comes with three delicious types of fresh, topping-filled breadsticks, and the zucchini soup is creamy and filling. The taste is reminiscent of a broccoli and cheese soup, but the quality is much, much higher. I personally love how you can pick and choose the types of sauces and pastas you want here, and the number of combinations they have available on the menu is mind-boggling.
I got the tortellone caprese (mozarella, tomato, and basil) with tartufo al parmigiano (cream sauce with black truffles, shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano and fried egg), and I absolutely loved it!
The cream sauce was incredibly rich, and the black truffles really complemented and accented the taste of the tortellone. The portions provided here are quite large, and I wasn't even able to finish all of the pasta they served me. The whole meal was incredibly satisfying and tasty.
As for the decor of the restaurant, it seems as if they are trying to go for a blend of up-scale restaurant and cozy, Italian home. The end result actually works pretty well, and I thoroughly enjoyed looking around at all of the little details and decorations they had.
My friends and I have already decided that we want to come back and try some of the other dishes they offer here. Many of the patrons around us got pizzas, and I'm pretty set on trying one because they looked delicious! read more
