R & R Brewing

We got here a little bit before one on a Saturday and we're unsure of where to park so we parked…read moredirectly across the street at what is currently a church. The bartender informed us that that was an OK place to park. They opened right at one, and we were the first people in there. We inquired about food since we had not eaten lunch yet, but they were unable to let us know if their kitchen was going to open that day or not. They just started a food truck a few days prior, but that was not going to be there that day. We ordered flights and sat at the end of a really cool looking bar. I was really impressed with the fact that I liked three out of four of my beer choices. I got a stout, a blueberry cider, a prickly pear cider, and a pickle beer. Because of course we're in Mount Olive for the pickles! LOL. They will add a pickle per request! Also had sips of my besties Shake it off, the strawberry milkshake, IPA. I have never had an IPA that I liked before. We wanted to get some of the stout to go, but there was not any in the cooler. We asked Dominic, the bartender and he actually went out back to look for us. He was unable to find them, but had four behind the bar that he sold to us. We were able to add two of the shake it off to make a six pack. That was $16. Overall a great experience. The inside of the bar was lovely. The bartender was friendly and helpful. And best of all was the excellent beer. I wish this bar wasn't so far...I would definitely become a regular here!

Stopped by during the Pickle Festival. I really appreciate that they opened early for the festival…read more The pickle beer and pickle soda were both delicious and I would definitely recommend them! But we also got some of their other beers and were happy with them as well. The servers were very friendly and attentive, and location is great. Good stop for sure!

Sandpiper Brewing Co is a welcome treat in Holly Ridge! For the locals, it's such a positive to…read morenot have to fight the bridge traffic to go out and enjoy yourself! Sandpiper is close to 17, so not far off the main road! The exterior of the building is crisp and modern with a super cute logo on the front entry. There are a few ways to enter the Brewing Co, as they boast a large deck that wraps from the front all the way around the side. The deck holds the most comfortable Adirondack chairs! There is room for the kids to play in the yard as well as the dogs to frolic about! Now that you're inside, you see the beautifully decorated space, with counter tops that look like the beach and ocean (see if you can find the shark tooth)! The interior space is roomy and you'll find some Sandpiper Brewing Co merchandise (if you're lucky!) It goes quick, as the owner, Ashley, tells me! Who wouldn't want to don the cutest logo for their favorite brewery, right?! The bathrooms are very well appointed with cloth, single use hand towels- what a great touch! Sandpiper Brewing Co has a great selection of hand crafted beers, along with their signature seltzer! Ashley will find something to your taste, or ask for a sample, everything is delicious! There is something for everyone, even juice boxes for the kids! You can bring our own snacks, but don't be surprised if a food truck is there, how convenient!

What a highly anticipated spot in Hampstead! We all have been watching the progress of this spot…read moregrow either just by driving by or on Facebook. I appreciated the thorough review from the first to review Yelper! So I'll get right to it. The parking had initially scared me until I arrived yesterday. There was a nice gentleman directing cars/trucks to spots or to overflow lots. Super helpful! The main bar is smack dab in the middle with Wilmywood on the one side and the stage and bottle shop on the other side. The building is like an old airplane hangar which is super cool. To get a beer or wine, be patient. It's a bustling bar and they'll get to you! I'm not a big beer drinker but I tried 2 on my friend's suggestion. We used the QR code to order from the food truck. We got the hand tossed because the kids would like it better. I wish I had brought some wipes or something because the napkins weren't enough to put your slice of pizza on and then wipe your hands or face. Good, flavorful pizza and they were quick!! Looking forward to going back!

LBC officially stands for little blue cottage, but it has several other names. LBC is very nice,…read moreyou can tell that they thought about every little detail and make sure everything was nice and high-quality. Nice they have a wood fence on the street next to the little shop to make it more private and safe. Arrived about five minutes after they opened and there were already a ton of people there. There are still plenty of parking space at that time, but it filled up really quick to the max in an hour. The bigger bench table seating is mostly outside, uncovered. The bench table seating in between the bar and the little shop have heat warmers. The covered seating is by the bar with mostly two seater tables. There is an oversized connect four game by the bar, otherwise didn't see any other games. There are two places to get beer, one is at the little store front right on the street with less options compared to the bigger bar. The little store has a small couch, as well as to-go beer cans, hard kombucha cans, and some packaged ice cream bars and sorbet. It's a little hard to walk through the bar area, made me feel like I was in a dance club. They have the Wilmy Woody food truck out in the back. There is a QR code nailed to every table so it's easy to order pizza with your phone from where you're sitting. You get a text through your phone when the pizza is ready to be picked up at the food truck. We tried the Veggiewood and the Wilson Fill Ups pizzas, hand tossed style. They were both great, Dough was soft, chewy, charred, not super thin. No paper plates available so we just ripped off the lid of the pizza box and used it as a plate. There is a drinking water dispenser, but it's tapwater so I would not recommend drinking it unless you don't care about tapwater taste. There's also a stage in between the little store and bar for music performers. Only 2 bathrooms, which is not enough. There are baby changing tables in both bathrooms. Wheelchair friendly. If you're lucky to park right in front of the bar and the little shop, recommend parking backwards to make it easier to get out when you leave because cars park along side the fence in front of the cars. LBC is a cool addition to the area, wish it was closer to Wilmington!
