However, there was no chance to discuss options for the parts -- I could only say yes or no to the repair with parts they selected; with other shops, I have always had the chance to say 'good', 'better' or 'best' for the parts. Also, they make a big deal of "do it all" (not just transmissions). However, that is not true -- they did suspension work but could not do an alignment in-house. It is not honest to say 'do it all' when you can not do the alignment required. I also prefer a shop where the mechanic discusses the situation, which helps me understand my vehicle. A&J apparently made a choice to not offer this service. Overall, I was not satisfied.

Following that service, I discovered that the lugnuts on my rear tire had not been properly tightened -- a serious safety hazard that could have caused a wheel separation while driving. Insurance came out on 12/15/22, towed to Muffler Man on 12/16/22, they called on 12/17/22 and were ready to fix it. They had to wait for the insurance people to show upon 12/20/22 and it was fixed that day for 1/3 of the price others had quoted. They did a great job, were fast, friendly and very profession!

I asked them to do a diagnose on camshaft sensors and VVT solenoids. They gave me a report about coolant level, tire condition and told me camshaft phasers are improperly installed while a vehicle can run and idle smoothly. The funny thing is they said they got me a discounted quote for $7000 as if I was looking a car from a dealer just to do work on timing chain. I suggested them to look for other easy prey, not me. They charge insane amount of money for what they call a diagnosis to get a report on break fluid level and tire conditions. My advice to customers looking to go there or being referred for them just avoid them at all costs.

We were quoted $160 for this service by phone and text. LJ at front desk accepted car, we did not hear from them for more than 24 hours. Daughter received text stating cost would be $250 including a "diagnosis fee", and she declined to sign (I had diagnosed the problem). On phone they then said they only changed REAR differential fluid (NOT what we asked for or were quoted) and front problem persisted-we were polite during this time. We were then quoted additional $200 for front diff service. We went to store, LJ was at computer and said "It will be a minute" while we waited.... After 2 minutes he finally looked up and engaged with my daughter, then went to get manager. Manager mostly pleasant but only addressed me (owner daughter standing right there) and was condescending when I asked specifics regarding the work to be done stating "you let me handle the mechanics of the car". They finally did the front diff/transmission fluid change at a "discount" of $150 after having car for 3 days! Checked and they overfilled fluid by at least 1 quart. Had front diff serviced again at another shop.
