But then I found ToyoTechs and everything changed. I filled out a service request form on their website in the evening and was contacted immediately the next morning via voicemail and email. Long story short. Blane at the front desk hooked me up with my bolts for a great price and also in record time. He even called their parts distributor to make sure I would receive them before the weekend, which I did. It really showed me how much these guys care about their customers because they went above and beyond for such a small sale . Just thought I'd update everyone since I posted a review a few years back. It is still a one star…read moreand has not changed, especially considering I never went back. AVOID THIS SHOP at all costs, quite literally a scummy fishy shop. Lets start at the beginning, I had brought my car to LV Auto Service Center for a transmission diagnosis since the transmission had been having some shutters and slipping going on. In the first week of my vehicle being there it was actually good service, they did their standard diagnosis for over $200 and told me that my air intake had come loose causing some issues with the motor getting to much air and they had fixed that issue. Now this is where the shit show starts... They then had me reschedule for a "transmission rebuild" and I say rebuild lightly. They also at this time told me that the repairs would cost around $4000 for the full repairs and had me put a down payment of $2000. Mind you they had quoted me for a transmission build without even properly diagnosing the vehicle. At this time I was not aware they did not know exactly what the issue was, they did not make me aware of them not checking either, now this is suspicious because they charged me a diagnosis but then didn't mention what exactly was wrong with the vehicles transmission, just vaguely stated as a "transmission rebuild". Now from here it continues to get worse, I'm honestly angry I didn't take legal action against this shop. I unfortunately do not own the vehicle they worked on anymore but they are the reason I had to sell it. Okay, anyways, I bring the vehicle back to the shop for the "transmission rebuild" and I had great feelings about it, they assured me that the vehicle would be hopefully wrapped up within 2 weeks and they'll get started on it right away. I dropped it off that day with hope but then that was immediately squashed when I called back a week later to get an update. No answer to the first call, second call I get a hold of somebody. They tell me they have not started on the vehicle and weren't sure if it needed to be rebuilt. Why the absolute hell would this shop charge me a $2000 prepay fee for a transmission rebuild that they hadn't even get properly diagnosed. Obviously, I was furious I told them they needed to start on it ASAP since they had said it was going to be done within two weeks and I needed the vehicle for daily driving, so yeah this whole time they held my car hostage I was struggling to figure out how to get a mode of transportation. After I spoke to them on the phone they said they would test drive it and give me a call back. I waited and waited for that call, it never came. I had to call them every single time I needed an update, never once got a call from them, I call them back and they tell me the vehicle is not slipping and is driving fine, excuse me? You're telling me I just prepaid $2000 for a transmission rebuild that I didn't need? Yeah no not happening, I told them they needed to drop the pan, check fluid, and to do a transmission flush if needed and MAKE SURE there is no metal shavings in the transmission fluid. They check the pan, find metal shavings! Who could've guessed, I was right there was something wrong with my vehicle. By this point they've had the vehicle for almost 2 weeks now with me having to ASK them to properly diagnose my vehicle, to get some sort of actual answer on what could be going on, its almost like they didn't know what they were doing and couldn't admit it. My guess is they didn't know what they were doing, especially cause a few months go by of complete radio silence from LV Auto Service Center. At this point I had already purchased another mode of transportation, due to them holding my car and not working on it. I give them a call some months later to get an update on the car, no update "still working on it" they said. 6-7 months go by, I have to call every single week for them to tell me anything about the status of my vehicle and turns out they had shipped it to another transmission to shop to work on it, without my knowledge. This guy was extremely rude and unprofessional, and eventually was tired of my calling for updates and then eventually washed his hands of the vehicle and sent it back to LV Auto Service Center. I call LV Auto Service Center after they receive the vehicle and they tell me they are not sure if it is fixed or not but it "drove fine" and then charged me the rest. I was absolutely astonished by this, but at this point the car was running fine. The transmission was no longer slipping and I had thought it was over there, but no I was very wrong. I drove that car for 2 months before the transmission had went out again, bring it back since its still under warranty. They refuse to work on the vehicle and said they couldn't get parts, even though they had claimed they would be able to repair the vehicle for me in the first place, they held my vehicle for 10-12 months. I picked the car up and sold it immediately, F.U

I've known the owner, Bob Cannon, for over 43 years now (as of 2021). We were kids when we first…read moremet. I was nine years old back then and he was eight years old I think (that was way back in 1978). We were neighbors for over 15 years. I don't let anyone else work on my car except Lowder's because I know and trust the owner, Bob, and I know that he will ALWAYS do right by me. He hasn't ever tried to pull a fast one on me (or any of my family or friends) like other mechanics do; he does what's actually needed or what I've asked to be done (IF it's legal of course but NOT if it's something illegal like putting a muffler on a vehicle that doesn't have a catalytic converter on it (or other stuff like that), because that's quite illegal!). He does the right thing, he always has that I know of and I've never heard anyone taking bad about him, EVER --- not even in high school. He's just and simply a great and honest man; and you can trust him. Oh! He WON'T give you some triple the price estimate and try to rip you off either, he's not like that at all. I refer people to go to him at Lowder's Automotive every single time someone is talking about having vehicle problems or the need of a good honest mechanic. He runs the office and front counter now and doesn't get under the cars anymore because he has some great people working for him there. He WON'T put up with a dishonest mechanic working in his shop either. I fully know that he would give them the boot too if they ever tried something like that! They work on lots of types of vehicles there and they're certified & licensed. And you can see the legal certifications and licenses posted there if you'd like to. He is an awesome person to know too. Talk with him awhile if you're wanting to know more about him and his business, I'm sure that he will fill you in on anything that you will need to know. He's been working on cars since we were kids. Oh, and BTW, he is still about Mopar too. Js. I'm a Chevy man myself but I don't hold the fact that he's into Mopar against him. LoL! So if you're into Dodge vehicles, especially big trucks, just bring that up and you're sure to have a nice conversation with him. (I even bought the mechanics lunch one day for achieving the 250k milestone). Fair prices, honest assessments, no up-selling and good work. They even give me advice on cars I've been looking to buy and don't charge much for inspection.
