    Came by to get a vehicle estimate as a family member had been here last year. 2 attendants in the…read morecheck-in area were friendly & wary greeted us. Told us to take a seat & someone would be with us within 5 minutes. Josh with a baseball cap, immediately asked our names, vehicle info, ph#, etc. I said "Hi" to him since he had no salutation, just wanted to get started. He said "Hi" back & immediately input our info. He asked for the keys & had us wait in the waiting area. I would say it took about 15 minutes for the eval & for us to come back to discuss the estimate/offer. I thought it was undervalued as I've been getting emails from Carfax almost monthly. I had even gotten my car washed but I guess they have some formula. Josh mentioned something having to do with tariffs being a factor but I didn't see the correlation since it isn't even a new car that needs to be shipped?? Anyhoo, they must have some formula. There were only maybe 3 other families there so it wasn't crowded. There were lots of cars in the lot, though. Once the vehicle is evaluated as they drive it off the parking spot, they drop it off in a designated "Express Pickup" spot. The location is right off I-10/Medical Center so hopping on I-10 onto 410 was convenient.

I've traveled the globe with the military over 26+ years service to our nation, and I have seen it all with various customer support from Car dealerships, and/or car services. The attention to detail in consumer relations with Justin was above reproach! He listened attentively, was patient, and ascertain my sincere concerns. No lowballing with these guys! Abel and Justin shoot straight from the hip, with being accurate in my appraisal/assessment, and backed their assessment up with pure knowledge of their offer. We visited CARMAX, CARVANNA, and several local auto dealers in San Antonio, and NONE gave us the quality and professionalism like Justin and Abel did. They did the test-drive of my vehicle, checked to make sure my car was operable, the way I conveyed, and we signed a few papers, and the check was in my hands 30 mins later! Lastly, I should mention that I got an offer above the KBB offer of what Sell it 2 Gunn had by a few hundred dollars-but because our experience dealing with Justin and Abel was so darn professional- we elected to go back to them! Today, in the modern era, its quite hard to receive 5 star customer support in the car industry due to many different things occurring. I thought I could get more so I took my car home and checked with kbb.com. I was surprised to see KBB offer was right at what CarMax had quoted. My car was in great shape and I thought I could get more for it. I got a call from Blake about 5 minutes after I submitted it to KBB. He explained the process and we set a time for me to bring it in to have them put it on the lift for an inspection and make me an offer. I told him what I was looking for, slightly over KBB & CarMax. I took my car in and I was met by Blake, Abel & Justin. All three were super friendly and professional. I gave them my keys, they gave me a Sprite and I waited for them to complete their inspection. They came back with an offer I was looking for, a tad more than KBB and I was happy! I needed my car for a few more days, as the offer was good for 7 days. I told them I accepted their offer and would bring the car back a few days later. I returned to Si2G, and gave them the keys and the title, along with a copy of my driver's license. I had to take a business call so they set me up on WiFi in a little office in the Service area while they worked on cutting me the check. Blanke showed up about 35 minutes later with paperwork for me to sign which took all of 5 minutes. He handed me a check and then had the courtesy to order me an Uber to get me home. I could have received more money by selling it privately but I would have had to deal with the hassle of no-shows and the sale dragging on possibly beyond 45 days and I didn't want to wait. Thank you to Blake, Abel & Justin. What a smooth process and an enjoyable process! I wish you all the best at Sell It To Gunn!

Despite multiple follow-ups over the course of a month, neither issue was addressed. Shortly after, a month to be exact the fuel pump failed, sending metal shavings throughout the fuel system. This resulted in approximately $14,000 in repairs. Now, just a year later, the transmission needs to be replaced at a cost of around $11,000. The original windshield issue still has not been resolved. During this process, I had an altercation with a service advisor, and my warranty claim was not handled properly. As a result, the warranty company is now refusing to cover the transmission repair. I have also received misleading emails from employees and have sent a formal complaint to upper management without any response.

I sent an inquiry in about the vehicle and a short time later I received a call(after receiving a text to ask permission to call me)from a salesperson asking if I was interested in looking at it. I was in Dallas at the time so I wasn't going to be back in San Antonio until late afternoon so I asked if he could hold the vehicle until we got there. The salesman, Max Mandavi, said he would and he would get the car ready for us to view. My wife and I were dreading the car buying experience because we've both had horrible experiences buying vehicles. For the most part the salespeople we had dealt with in the past were over aggressive and pushy but Max was the total opposite. What we were dreading turned out to be a great buying experience because of Max. He was fairly new to the dealership but he was very good at his job and the whole process didn't take very long at all. He was so helpful and had the car so clean when we got there. After agreeing on a price he sent the car to the service department to wash it again and put more gas in it. We are both happy with the car and grateful to have had Max as our salesman. If you are in the market for a vehicle, new or used, I highly recommend calling McCombs and asking for Max. I can assure you that you will be treated good! Thanks Max from Trent and Louise!

    I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at Red McCombs Universal Toyota that…read morewasted my time and money. I drove over 3 hours from Houston to San Antonio because I was explicitly told by Manuel ("Manny") and another salesperson, Mike Hadley, that a 2023 Lexus RX 350 would be sold to me for $43,000-$44,000 out the door. Manny told me the day before my drive that he had spoken with his manager and that the deal would be honored--but that it would not be finalized over the phone. Based on those assurances, I made the trip. Once I arrived, Manny took me on a test drive. Afterward, he came back with the "numbers," which were not the numbers we had discussed at all. He even showed me his notepad where the originally agreed-upon price was written down, yet he proceeded to act unsure and tried to gaslight me into believing the conversation either didn't happen or wasn't clear. Then Mike Chambers (Sales Manager) came over and attempted the same tactic--asking me for text message proof or verification that the conversation occurred, despite the fact that he had just spoken with Manny moments before. This was extremely unprofessional and insulting. In the end, they quoted me a price $4,000 higher than what I was assured before making the drive. This entire situation felt deceptive and intentionally misleading, as if the goal was simply to get me into the dealership and then change the terms. This was by far the worst car-buying experience I've ever had. A 3-hour drive was completely wasted due to poor communication, lack of integrity, and bait-and-switch tactics. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. If you value your time and want honest, transparent pricing, take your business elsewhere.
