I recently moved to the area, walked in during my lunch break and requested to have my old gel manicure (done at another salon not in the area) removed. I'm horrified at the outcome, and truly hope my nails aren't ruined long term. Took off all polish exclusively with a nail drill, no acetone was used. Tools come from a dusty crusty box on a rolling cart and are NOT new nor are they wrapped/sterilized/sanitized before/after use. I thought this was THE ONE: Great service and people were friendly; the environment was clean, spacious & comfortable. But... The polish doesn't stay on nails! I really don't write many reviews. But... This place has great pedicures. Nails and manicures are another story. I get my nails done often. I can always tell a good nail tech from a not so great, because of certain tasks they do to make sure the nails are even and the same length and shape on both hands. This nail tech did not. My nails do not look uniform at all. My index finger was cut very badly and he continued to dip my bleeding finger into the dip color. The top coat did not dry properly the first time and we had to redo it, and it still didn't dry properly, leaving a smudged look. Today I worked with JT and he was so personable we were laughing the entire time and he did a phenomenal job on my nails! this was my second time visiting and I regret not asking for the two ladies names I worked with the first time. they also made me feel so comfortable and at home and I've loved my nails both times. first time I got a pedi and acrylic gel nails and second time just a fill and JT explained to me how to do my nail plans in the future. I had a great experience yesterday when I went in for a Manicure and pedicure. Ken was my technician once again. He does excellent work. I sat in a salon chair for 2 hours for this... anytime i tried to tell him to clean it up a bit more, he would say he wasn't done. he cut me several times then cleaned it with acetone, the shaping and apex are all over the place, and the glitter is completely messed up. you can also see my natural nail thru the acrylic. another lady overheard me and said she wouldn't charge me extra for the french tip glitter or length, and she'll redo them. despite that, this is horrible. read more

Not recommended. My dip manicure chipped like this after 2 days. All the others were cracked within 72 hours of the original manicure as well. They also messed up the shape of my nails even after I told the technician to leave the shape as it was. Now they are all uneven, but it doesn't really matter since half have torn off at the top anyways. The dip color is wrong too and has white spots all over it (swatch didn't look that way- it's from using the wrong ratio of liquids when applying). I even went back in and asked to have it fixed but all they did was add topcoat and send me out the door. I wish I could give them a good review because it's a nice location with good decor, but I can't. read more

Kim was so nice and took good care of me. However, I got gel mani, and it started chipping in less than a week. I also got a regular pedi, and this also started chipping in less than a week, which is very unusual for pedi :-(.. not sure why this is the case, but still wanted to give this place 4 stars cuz Kim was such a sweetheart and they were being careful due to covid, and seemed sanitary. I have been here twice. The first time with my aunt, sister, and cousins. We all enjoyed ourselves and my french pedicure nearly lasted two months! The prices here are decent and they even threw in a couple of discounts and specials for us. Then I went back in June for graduation with my mother. We both enjoyed ourselves. The technicians there are very pushy, but it doesn't matter cause they do a good job and they show their customers a lot of care and attention. Definitely a nail salon I will go back to! read more

I'm hesitant to write this review as I think I may have FINALLY found my go-to mani pedi place as I want Cary Nail Spa all to myself! But I'll spread the word, good karma and all. I have been so happy with the service here! Everyone is incredibly friendly, the prices are closer to what I'm looking for and they have a really good color selection. The massage chairs work (hurray!!!!) and they do a great job with eyebrow waxing. They facilities are clean and they have a good range of pedicure options that won't break the bank. The first time I went in, I didn't realize they closed at 7, (it was 6:20 pm) and they took their time and did not rush me out the door like other nail places in the area. It was nice to still feel like I could relax and not rush out the door with my nails still wet or having to choose between a mani or pedi (what I have experienced at other nail places) (note to the reader, I wasn't trying to be rude with walking in late, but when you have a kiddo at home, sometimes your husband is running late from work you squeeze in whatever time you can get) I've been a few times now and will definitely keep going back for more! read more

I do not recommend this salon. Gel manicures and gel pedicures do not last at all. They use to last 3 - 4 weeks until new ownership. I began getting my nails, toes and waxing done at this salon 15 years ago. I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I believe they are using cheaper products. They are also very rude, not personable and don't even acknowledge your presence. Since new ownership, the salon has not done a good job in many different areas. Appointments have been mixed up and they treat you as if they don't even want you there. I am so sad to go, but it needs to be done. read more

I receive nothing for this review except the satisfaction of rewarding hard working, honest people. These folks work tirelessly and are honest to a fault. Most of their clientele appreciate them but a few people are rude and condescending. I've see people handle and break nail polish with a sign in clear view that warns that broken bottles must be pair for (half price) and yet refuse to pay. Those bottles are not free samples. The salon has to pay for them. I've also been there when people simply don't show up for appointments with no notice. My wife and I go there as well as my daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters. I've been getting my nails done for the last 15 years and this is the first time that I'm writing a review for a nail salon. So hopefully that speaks volume about how terrible the customer service is of the manager, Kim. This lady has been really rude to me on several occasions. She got pissed off last time when I said that I wanted a 3rd coat and said "okay hurry up because we are busy". Today I told her that I wanted to test a color before I apply it, she said that they don't have time all day to test out colors for me. Like excuse me?! I confronted her about it at the end when I was paying and told her that her customer service is terrible and she needs to work on her mannerisms. She said that I "always take too long to pick a color and I'm no longer welcome here". I'm at a loss of words! I've NEVER seen such bad manners at a business place. Every time I come here, Kim always looks pissed off and has an attitude. Needless to say, I will definitely not be coming here. I will be passing on this info to all my coworkers and friends to not come here. When I'm paying that much money, bad service is completely unacceptable. read more

Me and my husband walked into this place to get a mani and pedi.I was treating him for his birthday.. We are from NY we was just in town for the weekend. When we entered we was greeted w/a hello. Then a young lady came over and said they will do him first and I would be done 5 minutes after him. I said that's fine. She then told us to follow her in which we did. She took us all the way in the back and sat us at the last two pedicure chairs. I asked to use the restroom and when I came back my husband was sitting there w/his shoes and socks off but there was no water in the basin for him to soak. I get my feet done all the time and I am never sat at a chair and my feet isn't soaking. Even if they can't get to me right away my feet is always in the water. I then walked over to her and asked her is she going to allow us to soak.. She said wait a minute. She then came over w/her nasty gloves that she was doing the other customer feet and prepped the water. I have an issue w/that as people carry diseases on their feet and I don't dare to have anything someone else has. She made the water extremely hot. I said no I don't want it hot. She allowed cold water to run and shut it off and then walked away. I told my husband let's go because she clearly doesn't want us there. I didn't mention we are African American and all the other customers were caucasian. I had no problem w/that at all I just didn't care for the different treatment. The lady's vibe was a vibe like we was bothering her and all we wanted was a service. One young lady came over and said she was sorry and we appreciated that but the lady we was dealing w/the whole time sarcastically said thank you as we were leaving. Smh I never dealt w/anything like this before. I wish she would of just said our kind wasn't welcomed there because she clearly showed it. They don't deserve any stars but I can't post w/out putting at least one... I will be relocating to NC in the near future and I will be certain to stay away from this place w/their rude ass employees. read more

Just went back to Cary Nail & Day Spa since everything reopened post COVID. The place is exceptionally clean, they take your temperature, require masks, keep everyone spaced apart, added plexiglass between you and the pedicure technician. I felt completely safe. I dropped in there for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was generally pleased with the work done by Kim. However, what I thought was a "package" mani/pedi charge did not include an $18 up charge to remove the gel on my nails. I have NEVER been charged to remove gel in addition to a gel manicure service. I paid the bill and in spite of liking the work done by Kim, I will not be going back there. There are too many other nail salons around here to pay $18 to have the old gel removed in addition to a new gel manicure. read more

I have been a regular here for years. The people here are friendly and provide wonderful and attentive service. My manicures and pedicures last longer here than anywhere I've had to go while on vacation so I know they're doing a great job and using the right products.
